I must know nothing, because how does a man remain free for 11 years after not showing up in court for a DUI charge? Let alone all the child support he owed. It's not like he was living a low profile existence. He owned bars.

The liquor license was in a woman's name. I also recall that when he was interviewed by media, he did not want his name revealed. Since he has kids from 3 different women in Boston, maybe he abandoned them and was hiding out.

I read people well too and could see dishonesty. But did you notice how many people jumped to his defense after seeing his first interview?? I think that reading people is a gift. Not everyone has that. Be thankful that you do.

Still catching up on thread....

BBM: You should be very thankful because I do NOT have this gift...I really really wish I did. I did not get a bad vibe from NH's interviews....at all! It scares me that I didn't, because even if he didn't do this crime, his history is abhorrent!
One thing, though, I am self-aware that I am not a good judge of character...and sooner or later I realize I should take a step back and re-assess. This case was a perfect example of that for me, it took me a while to see what some people here were saying was 'off' about him. But I see it now.
I guess I am just lucky that nothing like this ever happened to me, because I admit, I can think of more then one instance (back in the day) that I did get in the car with a male that I didn't know very well...at least no better then Kelli thought she knew NH. Scary.

I have to say though, I would be interested to know what your feelings/instinct was on the hubby, if we could only get him to talk.

OMG this is getting complicated, but maybe this WILL cast more attention to media to push to locate Kelli.

  • #644
My question is "Why now" arrest him?

Surely one of those 3 women would have know where he has been.

Where is Kelli?

That is what I am wondering. I guess this case created reasons for background checks on both individuals, which brought to light a legitimate reason to arrest both NH and the owner.

I am stunned by that too. In my town the first time he didnt appear in court the Judge would have signed a Bench Warrant for his arrest.

imo

Holbert said something strange happened when he took her home sometime around 1:30 a.m.

"Around one, one-thirty, she told me 'I'm tired. I want to go home.' I said 'Okay,' so we got in the car and as soon as I pulled into Meadowbrook, she said 'You stop right here and let me out. I'll walk,'" said Holbert.

The spot Holbert said he dropped off Bordeaux is about a quarter mile from her apartment on Water Trail Drive. He told ABC11 he figured there might be someone at the apartment she didn't want him to see, so he left.

Now can't they take take the dogs there and see if they can track her from that spot and see where it leads?

Motorcycle gangs .. I fugure it couldnt hurt to read. Might be pointless might not but I am expecting something to happen today. I also expect the Bar patrons to be looked at and for some reason this case reminds me of Starr Boomers case so much it is almost scarey ,as we know Shone Pernice.

I had a feeling that this case was going to wind up like dominoes and others would fall too.

So now I am more confused that ever? Steven Cantrell is the owner of the bar? Sheesh I am having a hard time keeping up with who really owns the bar.

I suspect now the government is going to get involved and see if he was keeping his accounting records up to date too.

imo

I said yesterday that I did not think Nick was the only Felon associated with that place!

I would certainly think so, but we don't know if they haven't.

warning this is a semi-rant...: why in the hello do they have the picture of the bar owner's (arrest not related to Kelli) picture front and center on the front page? Really? Is he missing? I think they know where HE is.

okay rant off...

Well, I do not disagree with plastering a pic up of any man who owes $400,000 in child support to three different women.

I also do not disagree with putting up a pic of anyone not going to their DUI hearing.

Sorry, nurse, but I am just that way, LOL!

MOO

I would be willing to bet that LE has run background checks on everyone they have interviewed or that was associated with the bar, as part of their investigation.

Usually, I am great at reading people. I have found myself correct on my first instinct when meeting someone on so many occasions and I am thankful for that. It usually feels like a big fat warning sign smacking me right in the head. But I have to admit that with Nick, I had already prejudged him by learning about his past before even watching the video's of him. So I can honestly say that I am not sure what I would have picked up on his character had I not known about his past. This is why I am still open to the fact that he could be innocent of harming her and there could be someone else involved. I do believe once a sex offender always a sex offender. I'm just not 100% positive that Nick is our guy. I'm trying to look at what we know without judging him by his past and wondering if I would come up with the same conclusion.

That is what I meant in my poorly worded post. I agree that everyone has had background checks run on them. Which is very unfortunate for a man that has been trying to evade police such as the owner. For some reason I don't feel too bad for him :)
