Here's my current understanding of where this case stands:

- KB's family still appears to believe NH is the perp who did something to their daughter/sister/wife.

- Police confirm that various things keep bringing them back to the Froggy's area...which implies that they do not think KB ever made it to her apt complex.

- Cell carrier pings seem to imply that KB was last in the area of Froggy's (or at least her phone was).

- Evidence seized by LE and being tested appears to be connected to NH. That doesn't mean NH did anything, but the investigation is still centered on him.

- LE does not appear to be focused on KB's husband. If they are, they are not giving any signs, and KB's family is still supportive of him.

- VOH confirmed that KB and NH left together from the bar. Whether she was seen getting in NH's car has not been confirmed.

- There's no indication that KB ever made it to inside her apt (or the complex).

- A reporter asking questions about "KB after she was dropped off..." does not mean KB was, in fact, ever dropped off. The media could ask LE about her being abducted by aliens and they would likely not answer the question specifically.

- KB took a photo of herself in her mirror, using her iPhone 4S. She either uploaded that picture somewhere or sent it to someone. It is, in fact, one she took with the camera on the back of the phone...which is why the phone is held up near her face.

VOH, Can you tell me about the ventilation and heating in Froggy's? Does Froggy's usually pack in the people on a Friday night? and does it get extremely warm in there?

I was mistaken when I posted earlier, I thought someone had said that this pic was taken early in the day, But according to the presser it was shot right before she left to go out.
This is just a female point of view, but I don't think Kelli had any guests at her home, or planned on bringing anyone back to her residence that day. I myself would think she would make her bed if she had any plans of any company that night....IMHO

I don't know much about the system they have set up. I think it's forced air, but I am not sure. It's usually pretty warm in there.

Gotta leave this forum for awhile...
Being involved in LE, and also with a 21 year old daughter away in college, I pray that there is a good ending to this story... I can't even imagine the pain that this family is enduring at this time. There are sick perverted people in this world, we try and inform and educate our children, but we can't do it all... We hope that we taught them to BE CAREFUL!!!
VOH, keep us informed... Thnx

LE were the first ones to say that Mike and Kelli were estranged. They know what is going on in their marriage. That is what's really important. It's none of our business as long as LE knows the truth. I just think that MB doesn't want it publicized.

And it should not be, The main focus right now should be for all concerned to Find Kelli and what happened to her. If they are or not estranged can come out later IMHO.

VOH I know you can't comment on the time Nick and Kelli left FB. Do you know if Nick and Kelli were inside FB around 12:30? If you can answer this?

I can't. I'm sorry.

I just had a friend take his picture in the mirror both ways....It was her left leg....IMHO

Oh, just to clarify. I'm not saying it is any of our business. I am just offering a reason for why MB and KB's family keep insisting the marriage was fine while outside sources are reporting that they were estranged. Since it keeps getting questioned here that there is a difference in the two stories.

I hope they find her soon - I cannot imagine what a family goes through not knowing what happened. If my sister was missing in circumstances like this I don't think I would be holding up very well at all.:(

Ok - lesson on iPhone 4s:

  1. you can't take battery out of an iPhone
  2. iPhones do not use simm cards
  3. there is no back panel access at all on iPhone 4s
  4. One of iPhone's best features is called 'iCloud' - if you are using iCloud, then pictures and videos are uploaded to iCloud AUTOMATICALLY
  5. i.e. even if you take a picture and don't send it to anyone, it is already available up on iCloud (and on your pc) automatically - so she might not have sent the picture/s to anyone. Most people do enable iCloud, so that's how they likely got the picture.
  6. iPhone also has a feature called 'find my phone'. If you have this feature activated, then your phone can be pinged and you will immediately see address of where it is
  7. MANY iPhone apps include what is called 'location services' - meaning you can autotag your gps location as you post updates.
  8. On the other hand, you can also turn location services off very easily, but most people don't unless they are very security concious, or they only turn off certain location services per app

This news is both good - and bad. Firstly, because it is so hard to mess with an iPhone, it is likely they do have a very good indication of where the phone last was. The bad side, is I'm not sure how one could easily be destroyed or tampered with, so I'll have to do research to figure out how it was disabled.

(again, if you are security concious and can afford it, iPhone 4S or 4G are both excellent phones to have)

Im trying to catch up on all the posts from this morning that I've missed so I apologize in advance if this has already been stated...but not ALL iPhone 4s use sim cards. Mine, however, does...which is through ATT. Also, my location services are enabled and most of them come like that out of the box. Therefore, every time I take a picture, the exact location is attached to the properties. I guess it's pretty cut and dry that she was at her apt when the picture was taken but I'm interested in knowing whether or not more were taken that night.

Maybe her husband is afraid that by admitting to them being separated (or taking a break or whatever you want to call it) it will distract from LE finding her?

I mean I have been married for 15 years and I can tell you everyday is not a bowl full of fuzzy kittens. There are hard times, such is life.

I have not ruled out anything yet, BUT you notice LE isn't searching Florida now are they....

I thought of this too and you could very well be right (MB not wanting it to take focus away from the search). Assuming he is innocent (which I believe now) and they were having a bit of a disagreement, how much harder does that make it on him? Even though he wasn't involved in any way, he may feel that their dispute is what caused her to go out, etc. Maybe that guilt is what drives the denial of marital issues. Who knows. Pure speculation at this point.

VOH, Is there a reason that you can think of that Kelli would be dressed for hot summer on a cold night while going out to Froggy Bottoms, was it "Beach party night" or something like that?

In Colorado we are known to be out in shorts even in sub zero temps, but the spaghetti straps throw me unless she wore an overshirt or coat and the bar was notoriously warm inside. Is there dancing at Froggy's? Do people dance?

The flip flops also throws me a bit, I might run out to trash or the like in freezing temps, or even brave it for a few to step out and watch my dogs potty. But if going to a bar you would not wear flip flops and freeze your toes off....hinky

I can't. I'm sorry.

I completely understand. But I have to say that when someone can not comment as to whether they were there or not there it would lead me to believe that either they were "not there" or the person is not sure if they were there or not. If you were sure that they were there, why not say, " they were there"?

I think with a couple that are breaking up and the wife goes missing from a bar raises some red flags for me....
Yes she left with a RSO and he might be the one responsible but i think LE is looking at other things here also.
How many of these cases have we followed where the wife goes missing and its the hubby thats responsible.....tooooo many times.
This is why im on the fence here
and its all JMO

I agree. Also, even if it was just a disagreement I think we can agree that no one wants to think that the last thing they did with their loved one was argue:(

bbm: that is the only part I disagree with: her apartment is in the fb area...

I hate to keep bringing this picture thing up again but I looked at all of the floorplans for Meadowbrook. All of their door hinges are on the left side. Hinges on left means tattooo on left means no ring on...

So police think she did make it as far as her apt complex (which as we know is 1.7 mi from FB)?

It's on the side of the unit. You will see a little access door with a hole that a paper clip can be inserted into. Then the little panel that holds the SIM card will pop out. I believe it is on the right side (left phone in vehicle). I often take my SIM card out to use it in a wireless internet card.

Also the iPhone can be deconstructed and then placed back together, but it is a real pain. I've done it before to replace a screen for a friend and it looks like your typical smartphone inside with internal memory card, etc. But it's just much harder than on the average phone.

Very useful - thanks for taking the time to add clarity. Now I wonder what carrier Kelli was on.

(you're a warranty rebel, you are! ) :D

KB parts her hair more on her right side. Pictures of her show this to be the case.

That picture KB took of herself shows her hair parted as she would see it in a mirror -- it is on her right side. That means she is holding the phone w/her right hand and her tattoo is on her right leg.

I agree too. Something like this happening to your loved one when you aren't on the best of terms will bring on extreme feelings of guilt, regret, what if's? I can't imagine how I would feel if something like this happened with one of my daughters. I wouldn't even be able to think about the arguments etc. I would just think about bringing them home safe. None of the prior disagreements would matter at all.

I guess the reason why I keep bringing it up is just because I just don't believe Kellie and Mike were ok at the time of her disappearance. Married for 2 years...young love...you text or talk between Saturday-Monday. I'm sorry...you just do. And if they don't respond you panic. The body language in that picture is incredible...hand on hip...chest out...hair over shoulder, knee kicked in...it's meant to make someone happy. If it was not to him then bam...not happy marriage. If he stated to law enforcement that they were happy...in my book he's a liar.
