Why not have them just pick you up at the bar?The two places are less than a minute apart by car.

If you had two dates (even if one wasn't a real date) scheduled in one night, you might not want the two daters to meet. That is very awkward....

A date at 1:30am?? There is usually nothing good going on after midnight. A 1:30 am date sounds more like a booty call. IMO. If this is true, I feel even more sorry for MB.

I wonder if nothing is found today if they would 'branch' out some more?
Aren't they searching tomorrow also?

  • #165
Okay, let me phrase this better. Say she was out with Nick, and texted to another friend we have no clue whom. They said, hey wanna go grab a bite after the bar, I get off work at midnight, meet you at 0010 hours...(just a scenerio) it can be totally harmless, but you still do not want the two to meet...it is awkward.

I think back many moons ago, I was out at an establishment, my ex begged me to meet him to talk. He was at work. I then set up to meet him at Howard Johnsons restaurant. I left my date, to go and meet him. I in no way would have been comfortable with the two meeting for a switch over. Make sense now?

Yes, it is my understanding they will be closing, but not due to the amount due. Or at least that is what I was told.

I'm not asking, this is rhetorical, but I wonder, "Well, if not for the amount due, then why?"

Liquor license issues? The reference to damages? Or something else.

Mandy is now collateral damage in all of this, too.

It supposedly has to do with Pointdexter's arrest.

VOH, you stated that Nick was not the person you believed him to be....
May I ask, how do you feel about Poindexter? Is he the guy you believed him to be? or has your feelings changed, or a seed of dismay been planted in your brain now because of everything coming to light?
I consider you also suffering collateral damage in a way too, you made it clear, "you loved that bar"...I am sorry.

Nothing makes sense.

She had all night to meet with someone. Her husband was out of town. So why wait to meet up with someone so late? Unless the guy worked late and didnt get off until 1 or 1:30 in the morning.

I just dont think she was planning on meeting anyone and I agree with Kelli's brother if she had been taken back to her apartment she would have made it there and he said there is no evidence she ever went back home.

Why would she send a text' arrived home safely' or whatever the text stated when she hadnt even made it inside of her home yet?

IMO, something happened to Kelli when she was still in the area around FBs.

IMO

Yo entiendes, Nurse. I am an Army brat..so I undertsand. Also, my DH travels for a living...we have a better financial state because of it...but there are unique problems. Actually, being married takes work, and compromise. I remember the early years of my marriage and if you did not know me and the intent of my heart, you might have thought my DH and I were not going to make it. Until LE looks at the husband, I will give him the benefit of my doubt. Moo

Seconded. I've yet to see a marriage that didn't have some ups & downs, especially in the early years before the fine art of compromise is well learned. Has to be even more challenging when one member is in the military. They have no other choice than to put work & career first sometimes.

Admiring the way you phrased the BBM above. None of us ever know the intent of any heart from the outside looking in. Very nicely stated.

I've said and done things in relationships that were the polar opposite of intent in heart, for various reasons. Most of them stupid and desperate, but that's knowledge gained from hindsight and maturity.

Thanks. I'll wager that it is then related to liquor license and violations.

Appreciate the response.

Granted. Just not seeing how her last two known text messages and the last ping on her cell phone are fitting in with the second date scenario.

I do not think she had a date at 1:30 am. I think it makes complete sense that she was tired and wanted to go home. She had been at work all day and then went out drinking.

Just a random thought...maybe when Kelli and Nick went outside for him to give her a ride they ran into someone in the parking lot (like, let's say Poindexter) and he said to Nick, where are you going? You are supposed to be working. I will give her a ride, thus the "man" giving her a ride home).
Only thing with that is, then why would NH say he drove her and dropped her off. Did Nick owe Poindexter a favor maybe - for letting him crash behind the bar and for employing him under the table.
I doubt the above scenario, but I am just trying to play out some scenarios and see if they hold water.

I wonder why Mike stated that if she was dropped off, she would have made it home?

I wouldn't have said that....from what we have gathered, it was a 1/2 mile or more walk to her apartment....something could have happened during the walk back.

So, why would he state that?

BBM and snipped: "IMO, something happened to Kelli when she was still in the area around FBs."IMO

After hearing the detective speaking today at the morning PC, I agree with that thinking Oceanblueeyes as a good bet. He strongly indicated that everthing keeps bringing them back "to here". He also seemed to allude that there was something else going on related to the FB location - but said that he was not going to say more and is keeping that close to vest.

Between this case and Michelle Parkers - people...please password protect your phone so no one else can use it.
Mine is password protected but I have to admit, my hubby knows the password.

agreed...so, what could have been going on in the area of FB that would lead LE back to the area of FB and NOT the apartment complex?

that's why I asked VOH about a fight or anything around FB. And he stated NO.

OK color me confused. On the first page is this . I take this has bever been verified> Becuase if her phone did start ringing again it would also ping IMHO

John Buratti - former boss when Kelli worked for him at Sonic and close friend of Kelli. His wife is also close to Kelli. John had exchanged text messages with Kelli earlier on the day of her disappearance. He reports that Kelli's phone had been off for a few days going straight to voicemail, then started to ring again around April 19th

Somehow I do not think she would be a missing person if that was the case.

Excellent input - thanks. Did not know that. Will add to knowledge bank. ;)

So then, if some have simm card, do those models of 4s then have back panel access for swapping out card? Or is it a side slot in the unit?

TYIA
None of the iPhones have backs that can be taken off...they're all screwed in with tiny little screws. I've had a 3G, 4 and 4s...I've had to have the screens replaced on all of em and a special dealer had to come out to take it all apart just to replace em. The only thing that's easily accessible on em are the sim cards if it has one which are located along the top..I think. I'd check real quick but I have a massive case on mine due to the fact that I've shattered so many screens lol
