First off, here is the quotes from Nick that he gave in his TV interview:

"As soon as you drive into the entrance to Meadowbrook, she said stop right here," Holbert said. "So I stopped and she said, 'I'll walk home.' I said, 'Are you sure?' She said, 'Yeah.' I said I figured she didn't want me to know where she lived, or somebody was there and she didn't want to be seen together."

The bar hand, who lives in a lean-to behind Froggy Bottoms, was questioned for a second time today by Fayetteville Police.

Now, here's what I believe happened that evening... It's just an opinion..

I believe Kelli had a good "buzz" going on, having 4 drinks & 4 shots...
I believe Nick was getting the impression that Kelli may have been interested in him...
I believe that when Nick & Kelli left FB's, supposedely drive Kelli home, that Nick tried to take advantage of Kelli, (she had consume 8 drinks)
I believe that Kelli tried to stop Nick's advances...
I believe something horrible happened to Kelli, and Nick was responsible for this.
I believe that Kelli NEVER made it to he apartment complex. The last cell phone ping is from the FB area, and also Investigators must believe this because this is where they are concentrating their search, NOT Meadowbrooks apartments where she was supposedly dropped off...
I believe Kelli was already incapacitated by Nick when he returned to FB's...
I believe Nick had Kelli's phone at this time...
Nick was also quoted as saying that he observed Kelli texting alot that night..
I believe Nick had Kelli's phone & texted the final 2 messages "getting a ride home from a man" & "home safely".
Again, the final messages were sent from FB area, NOT Meadowbrook Apts...
Kelli wasn't reported missing until Monday...
Nick had 2 days to dispose of Kelli...
Everything Nick has been quoted as saying to me raises a red flag...
Nick figured figured "she didn't want me to know where she lived"
and "somebody was there and she didn't want to be seen together."
And last but not least, here is another quote from Nick... He said "he believed he was being targeted because he has a criminal record".
Really???? Your were the LAST person to see Kelli!!! He is very defensive!!!
He is a convicted Sex Offender who has EVERYTHING TO LOSE!!!

Below is a link that had the following quote from April 23rd.

http://************.com/category/kelli-bordeaux/nicholas-holbert/

Police sources who do not wish to be identified have confirmed they have recovered evidence that suggests Bordeaux may have been injured, and although they will not reveal what it is, believe it is tied to Holbert.

Now, this may have slipped by most of the postings, but I didn't recall seeing
that there was a police source that actually confirmed that there was evidence that Kelli may have been injured, that they believe is tied to Nick...
Interesting...

VOH, did the owners know that Nick was living in a tent behind their bar?

Sorry about the link, hope this works...

VOH, had you heard this quote from 4/23 that Police sources who do not wish to be identified have confirmed they have recovered evidence that suggests Bordeaux may have been injured, and although they will not reveal what it is, believe it is tied to Holbert.

I do not believe so. However, I could be wrong. I personally did not see the owners in there a whole lot. But again, take into consideration how much time I spend at the bars (previously stated).

Link is still not working. I have not heard this quote. Is the quote from the 23rd or just the article? I'm wondering if this was from prior. If it is information from the first week, I believe I know what it is in relation too, and I have heard about the results, but I am not sure what I heard was accurate. Does that make sense?

VOH...did you notice if Kelli had keys with her at the bar? She would have needed to have a key to her apartment, right? They aren't keypad entry apartments, are they? I didn't see on their website any mention of that, so i am guessing she would have needed a regular key for her apartment. I am wondering...where are Kelli's keys?

I did not notice keys, but she could have carried a single key. I believe her shorts had pockets, or she could have stashed her stuff with one of the bar employees. It happens. In fact, lots of people will also leave their keys, drink, cell phone, and even money on the bar when they go outside for a smoke. It's not uncommon in that bar. Stuff didn't go missing there when that happened. It wasn't a shady environment.

Sorry, I've been away for a few days, but did they search for Kelli this past weekend?
If not, wonder what their next step will be?

Volunteers, including TMC K-9 Search and Rescue, did search the area around Kelli's apartment complex Saturday.

http://www2.nbc17.com/news/cumberland-county/2012/apr/28/volunteers-continue-search-missing-soldier-ar-2220035/

good, their not giving up searching.

and, they have started a reward fund.

I still think they have the perp....just my opinion, I still can't get Nick off the top of my list. Especially, if those two texts were sent in the general area of FB.

I can't remember, but do we have the times they were sent?

I don't think the times for the messages have been reported, only that they were about an hour apart.

I hope they continue to search. I doubt LE will organize anything official with out a reliable lead, but Chris Sayre sounds determined to keep looking.

It really bugs me about this case that IMO Kelli was being responsible by not drinking and driving. IMO, she was thinking about the consequences of a DUI and IMO she did the smart thing by making other arrangements. How many women likely do this very same thing, and how easy it is for a designated driver to take advantage of a women in that position. Scary.

Has it been ascertained if NH drove Kelli in his personal vehicle or the Poindexters' vehicle parked out in front of the bar? TIA

Hi Rpgman...welcome back!

Here are the answers to the most asked questions:

- The time of the texts sent from KB's phone has not been disclosed. (per VOH)

- No we don't know exactly who {someone using KB's phone} sent those texts to, although allegedly it was her friend "Justin" in FL.

- Kelli's family does not believe Kelli sent those texts.

- Kelli's family does not believe Kelli made it back to her apartment complex.

- NH drove Kelli in his personal vehicle (confirmed by VOH)

- No, we do not know what time KB & NH left the bar & VOH has said many times s/he cannot disclose that information.

- Police do NOT have KB's phone. All ping info, etc. has been obtained from the cell carrier. (confirmed by Kelli's husband)

- Police say they are sifting through the information they've gathered (media report)

- No additional information has been released by anyone in authority.

IM not sure Nick was her designated driver
I think it was a hey wanna go shoot some pool tonight? kind of date!
She stayed long enuff 6 to 8 hours ...So my guess is she was having a good time and id think 1 am is a good time to call it a nght.

Maybe she says hey im tired its been a long day and he says hey ill drive ya home she says ok.

What happens after they leave the bar is anyones guess...

What are the odds that a random serial rapist would have chosen the one friend of Kelli's that the RSO had met, to send the texts to?

How would that work?
* Serial offender just happens to see Kelli, after the RSO allegedly lets her out of his vehicle in the wee hours in a dark area.
* Meanwhile, serial perp shields her phone so it doesn't ping near the drop off area & her apartment.
* Then the random serial rapist does something to Kelli.
* Then drives back to the area of Froggy's so the phone will ping there - just to throw things off
* Then the phantom serial perp sends two texts to the only friend of Kelli's that the last known person (who also happens to be an RSO) has met?
* Then disables the phone?

Here is another question: If there was a separate phantom perp who picked Kelli up after NH dropped her off, then how did he manage to disable her phone before Nick and Kelli left Froggy's? Because it didn't ping while Nick was driving to the apartments.

Nope, phantom unrelated perp story doesn't work for me. There are so many holes in that cover, it's like a crochet blanket.

Oh...that little detail.:waitasec:
No, we don't know...but if I had to guess I would say that she had a car and it was in NC.
I speculate (and IMO) that if Kelli and Mike shared a car and he was going to Fl to buy one then he would not having driven her car to Fl.maybe he would have flown, hopped a train, taken a bus or caught a ride, because if he drove then he'd end up with 2 cars in FL. (the one he drove and the one he bought) and how does he get them both back to NC. If he left prior to that weekend, which IMO he did, then he would not have left Kelli with no car for such a length of time. So, IMO and pure speculation, Kelli had a car.

ETA: And I think per VOH, she did have a car.
