I didn't. Maybe StrayKat knows. I read on another site that he had some kind of unrelated happenstance
(which is why we're unable to discuss it here).

Mugshots!

IDK to be exact about the friend, I had read about him upthread.

An unverified alibi is not, by itself, enough for an arrest. It's enough to make LE suspicious and have them continue investigating a person, but without evidence linking someone to a crime and enough evidence that the DA reasonably believes will persuade a jury of guilt, no charges will be filed.

Remember, the state gets one bite of the apple. It doesn't serve them to rush to arrest anyone unless there's a specific need to do so and/or unless they have amassed enough evidence. Once an arrest occurs the clock starts ticking and all discovery is available to the defendant.

If I was running the legal system, an unverified alibi would be enough for me to make an arrest. What would be a reason, other than guilt, to have an alibi that is unverifiable (apart from you were home alone sleeping or some other reasonable everyday life activity). But if you say you were here or there but LE can't find proof to that, that is very suspect.
That said, we don't know what MB's status is regarding his alibi with LE.

LOL @ Woe. You'd make an arrest and charge them with what, exactly?

Murder? How would you prove probable cause. How do you prove a crime was committed? You have to get a true bill from the G.J.

Kidnapping? How do you show probable cause for a kidnapping?

Not having a verified alibi is not a crime. There's no statute or law that's been broken by not having one. It's a piece of circumstantial evidence.

Where did you find a record of an arrest for Justin Thompson? I looked at the court records and did not see anything recent on him.

Edited: Sorry I found it. He was arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant from St. Cloud, Fla. Are we sure that this is the same Justin Thompson that was supposedly her ex-boyfriend?

No. Why does this guy look so familiar though? Anybody else think so?
Another source thinks this is him though so, considering that, I'm pretty sure it is.

Unverifiable alibi, what else? lol! Really though, that would be hinky to me if the time the alibi was told to LE was close to the time the crime had occurred. If I was asked a year later, unless I got lucky and had wedding or something written on my calendar, I'd have no clue what I did that night a year ago.

And what law does an "unverifiable alibi" break that would allow you to arrest someone?

LOL. "Mom's Law" gets you grounded and likely nagged as well. Arrested? Not so much.

It would be nice if they gave the public a hint though. I mean :waitasec: I saw a car parked on the corner? What type of info is LE aiming for? What kind of thing would stand out to someone driving by that might seem ordinary to you but not to LE? It's way too vague of a request imo.

I think LE is looking to see if someone saw a car persistantly riding up and down the street like they were looking for someone..

I believe they have someone without an alibi and need to place him there.

The problem I'm having is, Kelli wasn't wearing her wedding rings apparently, the night that Nick asked her if she was married, why would he ask that if he saw rings? Then, the night we saw the last picture of her, she had no rings on. Now, someone can say, well, she hadn't put them on yet. That doesn't fly with me, because whoever assumed that she would have put them on after that picture was taken, would only be speculating. So, regardless, something wasn't right about the status of Mike and Kelli's relationship. JMHO

Look at the outfit she was wearing!
And she took a pic and sent it to someone and i feel that was to anger him.

Obviously it worked!

BUT, who was it meant to anger, that's the question.

And I've yet to hear a good explanation why Kelli would choose that bar as opposed to the Last Call, which is suppose to be the most popular bar in the area, and it was as close to the apartment complex as Froggy's was. And don't give me the excuse, Froggy's had karaoke, well so does the Last Call.

Let's remember the source here. We have Nick telling us that He didn't know she was married. That doesn't necessarily mean he is telling the truth. He IS the last known person to be seen with her.

If you asked someone if they were married and they answered with, "It's complicated" as Nick explained, wouldn't you take that as a yes? I definitely wouldn't take it as a no. I think Nick was just scared and trying to paint this picture of Kelli to add more confusion to her disappearance.

On another note,in my opinion they were going through a ruff patch. But not enough to be getting a divorce. It seems like Kelli isn't wearing her ring in several pictures they have shown in the media. regardless I'm sure her husband isn't happy with the way they left things before she disappeared. He is a wreck. I can't imagine. No one can unless they have been there.

We don't know what her feelings were at that time. I think
she may have been stressed out to the point where she
wanted to just 'let her hair down' so to speak and have some
fun and escape the real world for one night.

Froggy's might just have offered her that.
But, I'm just speculating here....

VOH gave some reasons why Kelli would have chosen FB's. But ultimately, does it matter? KB chose FB's that night. She was there.

I think it matters because it just might have caused what happened
to happen.

For me personally, if there was one NH there, there were others;
maybe not with the same background but yet still with 'a problem'.

I sincerely think that if she had chosen the likes of the other bar;
we wouldn't be here now. A biker bar is just that; a biker bar.
The place isn't exactly classy with a hiding deadbeat dad; and
an RSO sleeping in the back yard essentially.
Yes, you're right; she was there and it was her downfall sadly.
I don't believe this was a stranger at all.
