Were they still in jail?

No, they bonded out. They were doing interviews with the media.

They were in jail when the fire occurred. They've been in jail since early last week. Either 7/31 or 8/1.

Oh, my mistake then. I thought they were out because of this interview at the courthouse right after their first court appearance: http://wlos.com/news/local/3-accuse...nt-call-911-because-police-wouldnt-believe-us

http://wlos.com/news/local/fire-at-home-of-suspects-charged-in-stroupe-case

All three have maintained their innocence, saying Stroupe threatened them into cooperating. They are in custody in the Buncombe County Jail and haven't been at the house for days.

[h=1]Investigators search car suspects were arrested in, seize 4 mobile phones[/h]
Investigators searched the PT Cruiser that Jennifer Hawkins, Frederick Badgero, Jr. and Larry Hawkins III were arrested in Sunday night. The three are all accused of harboring accused killer Phillip Stroupe II, and of being accessories after the fact to first-degree murder.
The Cruiser belongs to Badgero's father, according to the warrants.
The warrants also state that investigators seized four mobile phones from the car.

[h=1]Charitable fund established in honor of Thomas Bryson[/h]
HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A charitable fund has been established to honor a beloved Mills River man authorities say was murdered.

Community Foundation of Henderson County has started the Thomas A. Bryson Legacy Fund after his recent death.
"Bryson, known for his devotion to family and faith, was also a skilled outdoorsman," a news release said of Thomas Bryson. "A lifelong resident of the Mills River Valley and a 1967 graduate of West Henderson High School, Mr. Bryson was the co-owner of Appalachian Stove & Fabricators in Asheville for 40 years until his retirement in 2012."
According to a release, the first project to be funded will be a Mills River Park basketball court to honor Bryson's love of UNC Tar Heels and West Henderson High School basketball games.

I just noticed something interesting. WLOS just released the full interview of the three from July 31st: http://wlos.com/news/local/full-sec...used-of-harboring-stroupe-accessory-to-murder

In the last minute of that video Jennifer Hawkins says that people were threatening her family and talking about burning her house down.

Hmm...very interesting! Def eager to see what the arson investigation reveals.
While I can completely understand one's desire to possibly 'hurt' or get revenge on these 3, burning their house down was likely a bad move--IF that's what occurred. No one knows if their home had been searched or if it was still under investigation into the murder/accessory charges! I really hope the authorities have already done what they needed to do at that home!!

I am not familiar with the area where they live, however, I know their address has been all over the news & Internet... Another thought I had was it may have been friends/acquaintances of theirs who knew they made/sold meth from their home & subsequently went & broke in with the intent to either make more from their supply?! OR...because their address has been publicized so much, possibly could have been squatters who may have caused an accidental/careless fire?!
The man in the one 911 call said he could hear people screaming from near the home, although that could've been other neighbors as well...

This just keeps getting more interesting by the minute.

I wonder who the 4th phone belonged to?! Stroupe's burner phone to contact the 3, maybe? [emoji848]

Have we heard if Thomas Bryson's phone was found yet? I was thinking maybe Stroupe gave these 3 Bryson's phone for some reason and they hadn't gotten rid of it yet. Could be a phone Stroupe had too, though.

IIRC correctly, when Stroupe was arrested & the truck located, Bryson's phone was found either on Stroupe or in the truck. The sheriff had mentioned there wasn't any useful information on the phone. I'll have to go back & find the article!!

I had seen some comments about this possibly being a meth lab but if LE searched it before it burned down then they would of found it.

I have a few questions about this interview. The first question the reporter ask them how they are doing or something along those lines and the boyfriend starts to answer and JH says something. Can anyone tell what she is saying? The nephew seems a little off jmo. Does anyone know what she did as a job that she would be gone for weeks and weeks? I hate that they are playing the victim card. I believe the only victim her is TB jmo. I'm skeptical that the cops would of not believed them if they would of called them right away jmo.

I was trying to figure out what she said too but I can't really understand her. It's almost like she is scared he's going to say something else and she starts to stop him from talking, then she stops and lets him continue. I don't think these 3 were involved in killing Thomas Bryson but they are hiding something, IMO. And I agree on the nephew too. Meth really messes people up. JMO.

I don't think they had anything to do with the murder but i do think they harbored him.

I agree, it probably wasn't one, at least before the police searched there. I was thinking that could be the cause of the fire since all the arrested suspects have that in common in their background, but now that we know they were all locked up at the time of the fire and the house had already been searched by police, I'm thinking there are other possible reasons for the fire.
