I've never thought "RC did it," either. At least not directly. (I simply have no clue, really.

) However, I
have always held him *responsible for it,* because of the choices he made, the risks he took, and then for his hindering of the investigation.
I've felt from the beginning that he was hiding
something that would be helpful but show his culpability, and that his family was involved in the coverup of whatever the truth may be.
All ^ that to say that I don't think the tension is between those who think "RC did it" and those who don't, but rather between those who encouraged the whitewashing of his lifestyle and character and those who wanted to see accountability and an end to the charade.
The things we've learned over the last months may not show that RC "did it," but I think they most definitely validate the beliefs of those who felt that the person some (like Mizz Nancy and TN) were wanting to portray him to be was not "the real Ron," as Recovering-Lurker put it.
I hope that makes sense...
