New Ronald Jail Calls Girlfriend? What Ron Thinks of Black People

I'm thinking that it could be, that any mention of Haleigh (and possibly Jr too, because of the custody thing) was redacted. It doesn't seem likely that he wouldn't have mentioned either of them. We are not hearing too much "useful" stuff in the tapes.

I think because JR is a minor might be one of the reasons but not sure.

Why would they only redact the names of minor's in Ron's calls ? They sure didn't redact Haleigh's name from the Croslin brothers' conversation or from the jailhouse visit tapes. I think his lawyer should tell him that in these recordings he is potentially talking to a jury pool, if not for Haleigh but for the drug arrests. I would try harder to sound sympathetic, concerned for my children, kinder, etc. Like he used to. I guess it just didn't click yet that these recordings are going to be released to the public. His mama does, hence her attempts to create a tearful, non-cussing Ron.

I agree with you regarding Ron in a sense. It's been clear since "day 1" dude has issues but it's also been clear since "day 1" that every adult in these childrens lives have issues. I suppose it's been a matter of perspective for some. When discussing cases like these on a forum there's always gonna be a "bad guy" and in this case, around here you can either like Ron or Crystal period :crazy:. You praise one or the other or you are considered against them and standing up for the other one. To me, Ron is a pretty typical lazy momma's boy redneck flexing his non-muscles every chance he can get- we are surrounded by "Ron's".. he isn't that difficult to figure out. I'm glad he finally got busted it's been a long time comin'- couldn't have happened to a better guy, imo!

But I call it like it is-I take no sides in this case. I don't care if anyone likes what I have to say, I believe in looking reality in the face not picking sides to play on. Each and every adult in these babies lives have major issues, each and every adult has let these children down. I'm just praying at least one of them will decide to change things for the sake of these children. It's time these families- all of them- the Cummings, the Sheffield's and the Croslin's stop letting their children/grandchildren down and break the cycle they each have!

It's not enough to not pick sides IMO. God take sides--on the side of mercy and justice--which is from Whom, and from where, I take my own cues. And also why I advocate for unselfish, healthy parent-child boundaries, teaching truthfulness to children and modeling self-control, maturity, integrity, empathy, honesty, respect and decency. And to date, I have seen NONE of the above from Haleigh and Junior's father. But whenever moral issues arise about which God cares deeply--whether it's racism, using foul language, losing control or other inappropriate conduct around children--you can believe He takes sides. And *my* business is always gonna be to figure out which side that is.

RC--his foul mouth, his reckless, irresponsible, cowardly ways and arrogant, explosive, hatefilled attitude are far worse than a "redneck momma's boy," he could never be anywhere near my own children. Why would I want anything less for Junior--those selfish, childish, foolish traits have in all probability already cost Junior his sister's and Crystal her daughter's life. But regardless, he's come out of the bag now, and proven for any who will hear just how grieved he is about what became of his daughter, how deep his concern for his son.

I don't buy it either. They didn't blur out Tommy's child's face or redact anything he said when Lindsay brought him to visit his dad in jail.

A year later, we still don't know where Haleigh is. But I've learned this much. RC is a raging narcissist whose family is as disordered as he is. He is a fraud and a charlatan IMO whose entire family has exploited his and their victimhood status, manipulated and milked the media for all it was worth, and enlisted the sympathies of the public at large. For a year, he pretended to be respectful--obsequious in his flattery and false humility while making appearances--to impress, and to gain the respect and trust, of viewers, donors, and reporters alike.

I stand by any links made between abuse and pathological narcissism--as the enabling, excusing, excessive indulging, spoiling and smothering of a child is as harmful and abusive as other more easily recognizable forms. And even more nauseating than RC IMO has been the perpetual minimizing, normalizing, and histrionic pleas of his mother. TN is his biggest fan--and his worst enemy, all merged into one. Her maudlin, over-the-top performances throughout the past year have outshone, and exceeded even her son's. She too is a deceiver, a pretender--and I, for one, have wearied of the pathological fraud, blameshifting and exploitation which this family has perpetrated upon the public.

There is nothing pretty about this picture, and I will be the last person to try to nomalize his family's sick dynamics by saying "we all have issues" as tho we were all posers and impostors, and all had a child's body tossed somewhere and preferred to sweep it under the rug, or make her go away. It's been the worst kind of "bag..." It seems a lot of white suburban kids do use that word and maybe some of their black friends think it's cool, but Ronald's scenario is different. "Stinky effing N-words" or whatever it was he said was not a friendly shout out to all his "homies". He was being an outright disrespectful jerk.

I've never thought "RC did it," either. At least not directly. (I simply have no clue, really. ) However, I have always held him *responsible for it,* because of the choices he made, the risks he took, and then for his hindering of the investigation.

I've felt from the beginning that he was hiding something that would be helpful but show his culpability, and that his family was involved in the coverup of whatever the truth may be.

All ^ that to say that I don't think the tension is between those who think "RC did it" and those who don't, but rather between those who encouraged the whitewashing of his lifestyle and character and those who wanted to see accountability and an end to the charade.

The things we've learned over the last months may not show that RC "did it," but I think they most definitely validate the beliefs of those who felt that the person some (like Mizz Nancy and TN) were wanting to portray him to be was not "the real Ron," as Recovering-Lurker put it.

I hope that makes sense...
