News station found video of THE DUCT TAPE on posters at the Anthony home!

that totally looks like a partial logo and partial brand name down on the bottom left corner of the tape

IMHO, of course:)

Please forgive me- I don't mean to annoy anyone, but I can't view the video for some reason and am just curious - is this the tent that everyone's talking about?

Thanks!

I don't know, CuriousTwo, but I know it must have been hard to find this picture because I searched and couldn't find any. Seems like these posters are larger though, doesn't it?

I thought that the Anthony's originally setup their booth at Publix on July 20, 2008, but the building in the background of the duct tape video on the awning doesn't look like Publix at all. Did the Anthony's setup booths at more than one place? Kathy says the video was taken in July just days after Casey was arrested, but I have not been able to find the original video or the location where that was taken. Anyone else found it?

Don't know the answer to all your questions but I do remember that there were several post about how the Anthonys had to keep changing the place of their setup because customers were complaining. So, yes ~ more than one place, for sure. I looked for the video too, and couldn't find it.

I agree it DOES look like a partial logo but if that is a piece of the tape it seems pretty wide as it sits right now and if you allowed room for the rest of the logo and writing it seems like it would end up much wider that 2" to me. Or maybe the logo is cut off in places on the roll? I don't know, you guys are probably right, it probably is a piece of the tape.

The thing that is making me question if the Bellich tape is of Target is the far right side of her photo where there is a yellow and red sign. Target's signs are red and white. Wallmart is blue and white. So, I'm not sure where this is. The yellow and red on the far right looks like it might be an automotive department with something silver out front on the parking lot - but I'm not sure what this is. Why didn't WFTV just post the video and explain exactly where it is and what date????

I don't know; but I don't think it's all that significant. The place was public and must have been after Cindy made her 911 call and before Caylee's body was found. Why is it important to you? Are you thinking the video may have been doctored or something? Or just curious or a fact finder? Because to me, the only notable weight it holds is that it is another connection between this specific brand of tape and the Anthonys. I may missing some subtle point.

Looked at it a lot more and I don't think that's duct tape. Whatever it is looks like it has a nail in it (right above the sign). Looks like some kind of tag, flapping in the wind to me. I still see a picture of a girl's face on there, though.
Couldn't help but notice the collection jar propped front and center there either.

No, that's definitely it.

The thing you're calling a nail is the next logo. It matches perfectly.

Here they are side by side. I did a little exposure and contrast adjustment to bring out the details of the tape on the poster. Hope it helps.

I'd really like to know if any of this duct tape on the posters has been retrievable and tested. Its so possible they had more then one roll in that household.

Send this to LE. Good work! I noticed in this set of photos how shiny clean the white car is, you know they detailed it as only George could, while Cindy was washing the slacks she found to have "smelled like the car".:banghead:
Yeap, has to be the anthonys, notice their money jar on the left.

what if Mallory was getting rid of evidence? did she come out with anything?

or maybe she thought she had to call the Anthonys before answering the door or letting anyone in?

Princess Rose didn't imply anything about videos being doctored, she was trying to determine the location of the tent to see what event it was. I also noticed those yellow poles and was trying to figure out where that must have been.

One thing that struck me with the Belich video was the way the tape was placed on the black and white flyer. It didn't look like it was hung by a family member because of the way the tape was over Caylee's picture. Just a gut feeling, though. It could have been, I don't know.

Appreciate everyone's posts here, all very interesting. It is interesting, if it is the same tape, that neither the A's nor Casey disposed of the roll.

One thing that puzzles me is that the Belich video refers to the tape as very rare industrial tape, but it had been sold to Lowe's and TruValue until about 2005 or 2006 right? That's not very rare. And duct tape isn't something you use a lot unless you use it in your work or something, if you buy a roll it stays in your garage forever, the roll I'm thinking of in my own house is so ancient, I can't imagine how many years ago we bought it. Why don't we all run out today and see if we see any at TruValue or Lowes :)

One other point that I still wonder about is, didn't the FBI lab report say the tape found on the remains was dissimilar to that on the gas can? I will look for the link

That looks like a big poster, was that at a kidfinders event?

Sorry, it looks like 2004 was the last year it was sold to Lowe's, 89,088 rolls of it or something. And about 8,000 rolls of it to TrueValue Hardware in 2005, I think.

I can't find the link with the FBI summary report about the comparison between the tape on the gas can and the remains yet

I thought the FBI said that the tape on the gas can did not match the tape found at the crime scene. If the tape matches the gas can tape and the gas can tape did not match the tape on Caylee's skull then what is the reporter saying??

That's what I had thought, too, Manny. I'm just looking for that link now to read it again and see.

The FBI said that the fibres on the outside of the tape (the part that had been exposed to the elements, in a swamp for many months) were visually/microscopically different from the ones on the gas can. (no suprise. One was IN A SWAMP and the other was not) HOWEVER, the adhesive chemical components from the tape on skull (which was protected from the elements in the swamp) and the adhesive on the gas can WERE THE SAME and probably from the same roll of tape.

And the tape was rare. On a couple hundred thousand sold in the ENTIRE area of North America.
