Hey borndem it could have been a trophy or something kat realized wouldn't blend in with the fauna and rock scape in the dump site and put away.

Perhaps those are the panties that ended up in the dumpster along with Lizzi's sweatshirt?

Or she was making an explanation of why Lizzi's DNA could be found in/on the pants she was wearing that evening? I also noticed how she's repeated that when Seth raped Lizzi, her underwear stayed on and 'he just moved them to the side' and then 'snapped them back into place', I thought those were very weird details, but coupled with her explanation of putting them in her pocket makes think she has good reason for detailing the underwear.

In Kat's story that she claims is the true story do you mean Kat would not ever play strip poker because other than that I do not know what you mean about Lizzie would never do the things Kat said.

I am not sure why ppl think that Lizzie would not play strip poker. I think it's in the realm of possibility that she would, which does not mean that I believe everything that KM says. I think that a person can agree to a certain amount of flirtatious, sexual play and then draw a line that she will not cross. It may signify that Lizzie didn't have the same creep out reaction as we do to K & S, but even the insiders on the forum assert that they "appeared normal." JMO

Knee problem - his alibi notes

http://www.seacoastonline.com/articles/20140228-NEWS-402280412

"Mazzaglia allegedly claimed at the beginning of his police interview that he went out jogging the night of Oct. 9, 2012, and "returned home far later than expected" because he "injured his knee," according to a section of the memorandum that summarizes the police interview."

Hah, he probably did hurt his knee dragging her body through the woods to the river, climbing down the rocks, walking 2 hours back home.... oh yea, he was hurting for sure.

imo the game/movie/whatever is irrelevant to the murder. This trial is about the 20 minutes it took to kill her.

They were so unprepared for the aftermath and the ridiculous things they did to dispose of her seems it was not planned any further than his 'doomsday' scenario. Seth goes boom when he doesn't get what he wants. Leaves the aftermath for others to clean up. But whoops, rg says NO way. LOL plan B.

I also think it's in the realm of possibility that she would, but they would have had to play until close to 10:30 for Kat's story of Seth texting her at 10:28 about the 'painting code' and the murder happening very shortly after that (and the calls to Roberta beginning at 10:47, not to mention the neighbor hearing a scream and male voice about 10:40 -10:45). I don't find it plausible that they played strip poker that long (hour and a half), something else was going on that Kat's not talking about, imo.

I REALLY hope that thong was recovered because it will have both dna on it, proving the rape.

Me too. IMO both of them went nuts on poor Lizzi.

Depending on how much evidence the State does have may make me re wonder why the wonderful deal for the partner in crime.

  • #627
I don't understand all the criticism of the state's case.
Are some of you more apt to believe the def version of events?

For me, I will state the obvious:

I think some of us (at least me) are hoping for some good solid evidence that shows that HE did did it, with no or few doubts -- and not just a negative feeling about him. CSI on TV has shown the perfect world of forensic science in murders, rapes, etc., and now we expect at least a bit of it -- we know that a case will not have a 5 minute solve rate with DNA, batches of blood on everyone, etc., etc., etc., but everyone -- especially the jury -- feels better with tangible & irrefutable evidence, especial if it is based on circumstantial evidence, which nearly all tuff cases are.

And I, like Softail said, am worrying about the paltry amount of facts against SM that we have seen/heard so far.

Just my o.

Huh, didn't occur to me that maybe only Kat's DNA might be on the underwear, if they were recovered.

Nice catch there geevee. kat is no dummy. Several times in her epic saga of testimony I thought it was odd when she interjected what I thought was a minor detail. I figured she was laying the groundwork so that she doesn't get ensnared down the road.

It is not just the strip poker, it is the "sitting around naked" long after also.
Just does not add up in my brain.
She barely knew KM, and had known SM very little. Would you play strip poker with people you were just getting to know?
(I do not know why but the scene in the original Friday the 13th keeps popping into my head, the camp counselors playing strip poker...It just feels so "forced"... KWIM?).

Wouldn't that be somethin'?

  • #632
I probably should just watch. Did Roberta give the same story that Kat did for her and Pauls arrival?

  • #633
Ok, "female" socks made me  Never thought of socks as being either "male" or "female"!

  • #634
no female underwear in the bag taken from dumpster.
matched the socks in dumpster to socks in the apt.

  • #635
dang--no female underwear

It sure would.
I know she put them in her pocket, does anyone recall what she did with them after that?

She wore colorful little socks, always mismatched.

I think there is some truth that Lizzi declined advances that both seth and kat made to her that night. When kat testified she sounded like her ego was still wounded that kat wasn't interested in her.

I don't see someone telling the other two people in the room 'No, thank you' but then okaying any activity that would approach or open that subject again. So, IMO, no strip poker, no Lizzi sitting around in her underwear.

IMO the movie was on and the two pounced and overpowered her. Incapacitated her and then had their sick fun.
