It's been seven hours and not a peep from the person who took him to the park.
I hope someone's reviewing all security cameras in the area to confirm what that person is telling police.

Yes, I am that perpetually skeptical person.
That is a VERY busy park (we don't live there but we've been there) yet we have no reports from witnesses or the person who reported him missing.
My thoughts have already gone in a dark direction. I so hope I'm wrong.
That pond should have been the first place searched.

Seems like if he was missing in the park, someone would have found him and dialed the police, IMMEDIATELY. I surely would. That is what is alarming, IMO. Missing this long and not a peep. If he was taken to the park, they should have him on camera? Surely. It's getting dark!

Things are too quiet. I think they're investigating something.
It makes no sense for a child (screaming, crying) to "go missing" in a busy park like that.

No news is never good news when a little one is missing, MOO. This is so heartbreaking. I usually try to watch or read something soothing for a while before bedtime. Cases like this keep me awake. Two little ones out there...

Missing since around 9 a.m. this morning (Sunday). Where could he be? Park was closed down (all entrances). He may be hiding?

325 acres right? That's huge. I have had to search 3 acres for a dog or cat and it seems impossible. So yes it can take a very long time especially if he's scared and not responding to his name.

I have a little blonde boy.... so scary.

It is a huge park, very busy, lots of places to wander or be grabbed. The cynic in me says we had a woman in Vegas less than 2 weeks ago claim a missing child when the child was already deceased in her home. I go to this park a LOT. It would not be unheard of for a child to be lost there. But it would be a shock not to have found him in this amount of time. I fear for the pond but the pond is ringed by a walking trail and is usually full of people in the Sunday morning hours. Nothing more locally on who had him at the park either. I am suspicious and fear for this little guy. They are searching the pond with equipment tonight and are back on foot in the morning.

After searching since before 9 a.m. on Sunday, a 3-year-old is still nowhere to be found. As of Sunday night, Daniel Theriot is still missing.

Once Metro police was notified, police closed the park and checked each car as it left. They also had a helicopter out, later bringing in equipment to check the park’s pond.

According to search crews, Theriot’s mother was with him at the park. She told police she looked away for a second, then couldn’t find him.

So did they already check the pond and clear it? That isn't very clear and I did not watch the video. If they cleared the pond that would be a huge relief!

wow from what i understand it is a huge park ...... but then i guess it depends where they were when he disappeared

I'm so scared for this little guy! I have a very active and impulsive 3 year old boy and this is my worst nightmare. I can't imagine his Mom's panic right now.
