Who are these parents? They've been arrested, 20 yr old mother and 40 yr old boyfriend. Not an accident. Very disturbing (LE's description), other child (little girl) has been removed from home and was abused.

I really think LVMPD here is excellent. They ran parallel investigations without arousing public suspicions and less than 24 hours later have found this poor boy and made an arrest. For a city of 2 million, we rarely have stranger abductions and in a busy park like this, someone would have seen something. Sad sad sad and glad the other child has been removed from the home.

Oh no, not another one! It's bad enough when accidental deaths occur to children, but this is horrific to think that someone would kill that adorable little boy (or ANY child!).

Monsters live amongst us- they look, act, eat, drink, and talk like us- but underneath their exterior lies an evil demon infested sick monster(s) who instead of giving the child up to a loving home, make a game of killing and hiding their body, thinking they will get away with it and move on with their lives like nothing happened. I am just heart broken for this child. His pictures are going to haunt me- that adorable smile and happiness radiating from him- why in the hell did his mother kill this poor baby and allow her sick boyfriend to help her?

He said the manner of death was "absolutely disturbing" and that they suspect that the 40 year old boyfriend was the main suspect.

They will be booked on abuse charges for the 2-year-old sibling while they are further investigating the homicide. They have a pretty good idea what happened. Some prior criminal history. He didn‘t go into details.

Next red flag: nobody saw her with the child or her looking for the child. They were sure someone in the park would have noticed a mother frantically searching for a child.

While her going to a different park wouldn't raise any red flags to me, the rest of your comment certainly would. I used to take my kids all over the place- some playgrounds and parks near us, some further away- it kept them from getting bored and they loved going to new places to explore.

So glad that the police caught on early that they weren't at that park, that no one saw them there or her frantically searching for him- most parents would be upset and distraught- as soon as most people here that a child is missing, they spring into action and start to help look for the child. The fact that no one saw them there was definitely a red flag, and her not frantically calling his name or asking others if they saw him was definitely a huge red flag.

Outraged should be how I feel... but... I'm numb. SO many cases, same circumstances, same ending, another precious child killed. I don't want to even think about how many that I've followed just on websleuths this year. At this rate, we have no worry about overpopulation... murderers are taking care of that. Sickening. I pray the sibling is removed far away from this family, and gets a loving, supportive, dedicated family that wants to parent!
