I think they are saying she probably came from the areas marked yellow/blue. Cross reference that to the pollen analysis, and it places you in the San Diego, or Arizona areas.
I have a question. Is there a similar map based on the entire globe?

I do not think anybody knows why Cali was heading to Boston, if she was. One trucker driver stated she was trying to get a ride to Boston MA (Wikipedia) but maybe he misunderstood, or she said Boston and he assumed MA?
Wikipedia is the only place I have found that says the head shot was first. Everything else says the back shot was. The articles say they turned her over and found a spent .38 slug buried in the ground under her.....so I am guessing they based that by which area of her body they found the slug under?
I can be no help on the teeth isotopes. I'd like to know that answer as well. Anybody?
Boston, NY, 1979- would there have been anything going on to draw Cali? Maybe she didn't specify which Boston she wanted to go to, and it was only assumed Boston, MA.
Another possibility is that she thought Boston "Beantown" was Boston, NY. Anything is possible w/ a kid that may not have received much schooling, especially if she was a runaway and frightened/tired. If not this confusion, perhaps she had ties to Boston, NY?
I would also like to know the order of the shots. I read that she was shot in the head first, then dragged, then shot in the back. Based on the published forensics of the crime scene, could the shooter have done head, then back, then set her on her back? But shooting her back, then head makes sense, shoot in the back to disable her, then in the head to finish her off.
Last question- the teeth isotopes- is it possible that those isotope could appear in another country? Did they test for flouride? Did Australia have flouride in its water supply at the time?
BBM. I have read that as well. There was blood on the road from a head shot, then she was taken to the field and shot in the back. It seems a strange order to shoot. But, with that in mind...even though the pictures show her on her back, is it possible she was face down for some time? The only reason I ask, is the way her nose is up turned. If she was in a position for awhile where her nose was pushed up a bit, it may change the shape/look of it. Maybe that was what the new photo was trying to account for.

Girl Talked Too Much- Killed And Left In Caledonia Cornfield-
Killer Says Lord Has Come
Livingston County Law Enforcement Officials announced a major development in the five-year old "Jane Doe" homicide investigation. The homicide occurred on November 9-10, 1979, and was discovered by a passer-by who noticed a young woman's body in a cornfield on route 20 between the Towns of Avon and Caledonia in Livingston County.
Following up on information developed by Texas Rangers and early New York contacts, Sheriff Richard Kane and District Attorney Theodore E. Wiggins, Jr . determined it was necessary to interview Henry Lee Lucas, presently in jail in Georgetown, Texas. Major John York and District Attorney Wiggins travelled to Texas and were able to interview Mr. Lucas earlier this week. Henry Lee Lucas did at that interview confess to the shooting death of the Livingston County "Jane Doe".
He identified his victim only as "Nancy" and informed Major York and District Attorney Wiggins that he picked her up in Philadelphia, travelled with her for approximately four days, and killed her when he tired of her talking.
The interview of Mr. Lucas was videotaped and is continuing to be studied. Specifics of his statement cannot be released since their development constitutes the major source of confirmation of the authenticity of the admission, and to identify the victim. Mr. Lucas is presently under a death sentence in Texas for another homicide there. Two more capitol cases are scheduled *or trial in Texas since authorities there are anxious to assure his execution. Louisiana is also proceeding on a capital case. Mr. Lucas has received wide coverage as a "serial killer". He travelled for a long period of time with Otis Toole who is presently incarcerated in Florida. Both Lucas and Toole have received wide media attention following their killings.
Presently, 182 cases of murder attributed to Lucas have been cleared in Texas by various authorities. The killings range throughout the United States and Canada. Mr. Lucas claims he is confessing since the Lord has now come to him and it is all he can do for his victims and their families.
Livingston authorities feel the probabilities are great that he did indeed commit the homicide here. Obviously, Mr. Lucas' circumstances make it necessary to check his statement very carefully. No indictments or charges are presently anticipated pending further developments in the case and Mr. Lucas" death sentence.

District Attorney Theodore Wiggins

Was looking at Nancy Lynn Jason earlier tonight. blood type a-negative. don't know how much of a difference that makes. Although she was already 18 in 1977 making her 20 when CD was found. hair was slightly curly and the colour would take the highlights.

Did I miss something a trucker calling in about her? She was trying to go to Boston? Could she have been going to Austin? I can think of a few places that rhyme with Boston. :twocents:

Girl, 16, murdered, name: still unknown GENESEO, NY. (AP) - The Livingston County coroner calls her Jane Doe, file No 7952. Aside from her physical description, all that's known about the girl is that she
was about 16, had a slight acne problem, had recently stopped coloring her brown hair blonde, and had two decayed molars.
About two hours before she was shot, she ate her last meal, potatoes, corn and boiled, canned ham. Checking 70 restaurants in the area, the police failed to come up with a clue.
The body was discovered on Nov 10 by Sesley Clements, 16, when he and his father stopped to check whether pheasant hunters were in the field.
Investigators speculate that when the girl was shot the day before, she was standing near the shoulder of the road.

It seems that if she remained face-down overnight, there would be discoloration in her face from the blood settling into the lowest parts of her body (i.e., "Lividity"). If she was shot in the back, presumably while in a face-down position, the killer probably was the one who flipped her over onto her back. Perhaps the killer did this to empty her front pockets.
I looked back through and tried to find where we discussed the A- blood type. I feel both girls sharing this blood type is just to much of a coincidence. Vitals can be off, it is not even uncommon for them to be. I hope Nancy gets submitted today!!!!!!
