NY - Children told story about a girl being abducted from Newburgh

OK-I know this is going to sound off the wall-but I am going to throw it out there.
Could this be a older brother/family member and a friend wanting to scare the child
and all the kids(prank)..then took her home and thats why no one has reported her missing..
I know-way out there....

My first gut reaction is that maybe the parents are illegals and are afraid to come forward. :dunno:

I hope we don't find out that the parent/parents met with foul play. .. but that could explain this too.

That's a really good point! That indeed happened here in the last couple of years. The parents were so afraid they were going to get deported and a family friend (I think) reported it. In the long run the child was found and the parents weren't deported.

I sure hope that is the case here. I'm still so darn mad about the Amber Alert mess. Just uncalled for IMO. If a child is missing, a child is MISSING

The official AMBER Alert described the missing girl as African-American. However, early Thursday, police said she was “possibly Hispanic.”

Not way out there, who knows in today's day & time.

If the kidnapper was an older brother, that might suggest that the girl lives nearby, so wouldn't one of the witnesses have recognized her as seeing her around before? Or seeing her older sibling (if he were) before? Just trying to think it through as we go along...

This is so scary. Like, for real my heart is racing. This case puts the biggest fear in every single mother out there.

Does that sound like a large company or a small maybe home contracting business (small repair, plumbing, electrical, painting, landscaping, etc)? Maybe we could search that description in contracting companies in that county or near counties?

But why would 2 men kidnap a little girl in broad daylight knowing there's writing on the sides of their vehicle? They would know people would remember the lettering & description.

Are there any reported stolen vehicles matching that description?

FWIW, my 7yo wouldn't know AA/hispanic. She is 1/4 Italian and has 'medium' skin. Her description would be based on her skin - Hispanic/italian/NA/light skinned AA etc.

Same here, my 2 youngest have my Italian & Indian skin but my oldest has his father's Irish skin. 1 week in the sun & we look Latino. Olive skin...

I wonder the texture of this kidnapped girl's hair. Maybe that's the reason for the mixup & why they think she could be African-American or Hispanic?

Im wondering if the other children knew each other but never saw her before?

Were the other kids playmates or related to each other!
for young kids they sure noticed alot!
