Oh wow! What a scary story! Maybe this link will work better. http://www.watertowndailytimes.com/article/20140825/NEWS05/140829307

OK, Kristin, getting back to my question about how to get from the Stinsons to the Millers -- it obviously wouldn't have taken then past the Howells' residence. But SH has a very close friend who lives less than a mile up the road from the Stinsons -- on Dekalb Junction-Richville Road (33/18). So, I was wondering if the Stinsons happened to take that route to the Millers -- they could have taken that road to 112/19, turned left, then turned left again on 11/33 and hooked up with 812. (Or they could have turned right on 11/33 and then turned left on 17 and taken that to 812). If they had taken that route (Dekalb Junction-Richville Road), they'd have gone right past the house where SH's friend lives. SH may have parked there. That would have been a very likely spot for the girls to see SH and the red car.

This cream-colored cadillac also makes me wonder -- apparently there was someone else involved. It would be interesting to know when that car started following them. If it were just on 812, that wouldn't mean a lot -- just some jerk riding their bumper. But if the car started following BEFORE they got on 812 -- that would be super scary. Do you guys remember on the night the girls were returned, the media was reporting two men? That could have been a mistake on the part of the media, but maybe it wasn't. What if another guy was in the car with SH and the girls, to help control them, while NV drove on ahead to scout out road blocks? With the drop off spot being less than a mile from a certain friend's residence, they could have let the girls out there, then run the friend home. And then, what if the friend had second thoughts about leaving the girls there -- afraid they'd ID him (or SH or NV which would lead back to him). Maybe he decided to drive back and capture the girls again, or even to kill them.

Abigail, thank you for much for the link. I appreciated lern2fli's link too, but I can never get that newspaper to bring up the article.

That last sentence in your wonderful post is kind of the way I'm leaning too - unfortunately. These creepers are scaring me.

My mind keeps wandering back to a statement SH made on his FB before it got shut down. He shared a posting that he said was from a "former student."

I saw the same post but have also seen it before, elsewhere. The post is a graphic with the words "An excellent point from one of my former students." quoted in the original post. Whoever shares that, those words will appear on their FB as well. Just wanted to clear that up.

OK, well, that answers that question. Now, why did I post that he was a senior caregiver (back on Aug. 15)? Did anyone else see something to that effect on his FB page or was I just having a senior moment?

I was reviewing some media postings from that day, hoping to find an answer, and I didn't, but what I did find was that BOTH SH and NV went down to headquarters and submitted to questioning. So, it wasn't simply a matter of NV throwing SH under the bus by ratting him out, although she obviously did that by trying to make it sound like she was also a victim of abuse, blah blah blah. Apparently, in Thursday's hearing, SH's statements didn't come up, since the hearing was for NV, not SH.

"Asked if they were cooperating with investigators, Sheriff Kevin Wells said "I wouldn't say they're cooperative. They're here, they came in and submitted to questioning, and through the questioning they were taken into custody.""

I agree. It sure sounds like they have samples to verify...ugh that makes me sick to even think about. I'm just
surprised that it won't go before the judge until the 10th, it seems so long to wait for something that could be so important.

From what I have read, gender is the easiest thing to determine

So...it should be easy to differentiate between the two perps.

But, then again, they need to really nail it for it to stick in court. No assumptions, but solid DNA matches.

It should also show if there were any relatives involved. If they find samples with similar markers they'll know if, for instance, a brother could be involved.

I think SH thought he was just an awesome and impossible to disobey 'Master' that he believed he could just tell the girls to 'stay where you are' and they just would.

Ok I'm not seeing 33/18 rt anywhere on their travels but it also looks like on google maps directions routing from the stinsons to millers , all three routes cross rt 11 (which looks like dekalb junction Richville road) check out the pic- I bet it is the hi lighted route that I speculated before bc it puts them on 11 for a little ways (longer than the other route which is the longest anyway and unlikely IMO) - can you get me the address of friend so I can add it to our map?

Edited to add correct map!

Yeah me too! And scared! Maybe they were PO'd at the Stinsons and wanted the girls back. Sounds as if SH was going to pass them off to someone else - MAYBE! My imagination could be working overtime. I believe the 12 y/o mother's instinct kicked in and she had the wherewithal to NOT do what the kidnappers told them to do and run into the woods, but instead went to a house. Smart girl! I hope the Stinsons are watching their backs. Especially if there is someone suspicious in their neighborhood - I'd be doing double-takes and getting a big dog and locking doors, posting alarm signs, etc. al. This is a very strange case! :twocents: If I had a child or children I would be afraid to let them outside right now until we know more about these two creepers and whom else they are involved with locally. :escape:

They can have my dog for a little while. She speaks german and will eat human on command if need be ;)

We may go this weekend so I would be totally cool dropping her off with them because hoooooooo boy, she smells like A$$!!!

This car that followed the Stinsons home while they were driving the girls home has me very curious...

:websleuther:

Yes and could that person also be involved heavily in whatever disgusting thing they have going on?

BBM

I could be mistaken, but I *think* that post was something he shared - the original post was made by someone else about that someone else's student, not SH's student. I don't even remember what the post was about, however, so my memory might not be trustworthy. I *think* the post was something being passed around, like things do on FB. I could be entirely wrong.

You are correct. I do all the website/digital media/social/analytics for my job... If anyone has questions about that stuff specifically It's my specialty :)

Yep! You don't even have to look at the DNA sequence- you just have to know if they have xy or xx chromosomes

Nooooooo! lmbo! Are you kidding? I just let my black lab in and Oh my! She has found something to roll in because yep she too smells like a$$ too. We killed a HUGE chicken snake that has been eating my eggs all summer. Moth balls ran him off for a bit, but I finally got him night before last. Hung him upside down belly up because that's supposed to make it rain, but I think the dog found him and drug him off the barbed wire. She cannot stay inside tonight! By the way she's acting you would think she had doused herself in Chanel No 5. My eyes are watering....... Gag!

BTW, *awesome* map! Love it.

I guess this winner of a human being discovered just how awesome he actually was. I suspect he'll be reminded of it often, once he's carted off to prison for many years. No doubt, his fellow inmates will help him remember how "awesome" he really is/was.
