Oh wow! What a scary story! Maybe this link will work better. http://www.watertowndailytimes.com/article/20140825/NEWS05/140829307
OK, Kristin, getting back to my question about how to get from the Stinsons to the Millers -- it obviously wouldn't have taken then past the Howells' residence. But SH has a very close friend who lives less than a mile up the road from the Stinsons -- on Dekalb Junction-Richville Road (33/18). So, I was wondering if the Stinsons happened to take that route to the Millers -- they could have taken that road to 112/19, turned left, then turned left again on 11/33 and hooked up with 812. (Or they could have turned right on 11/33 and then turned left on 17 and taken that to 812). If they had taken that route (Dekalb Junction-Richville Road), they'd have gone right past the house where SH's friend lives. SH may have parked there. That would have been a very likely spot for the girls to see SH and the red car.
This cream-colored cadillac also makes me wonder -- apparently there was someone else involved. It would be interesting to know when that car started following them. If it were just on 812, that wouldn't mean a lot -- just some jerk riding their bumper. But if the car started following BEFORE they got on 812 -- that would be super scary. Do you guys remember on the night the girls were returned, the media was reporting two men? That could have been a mistake on the part of the media, but maybe it wasn't. What if another guy was in the car with SH and the girls, to help control them, while NV drove on ahead to scout out road blocks? With the drop off spot being less than a mile from a certain friend's residence, they could have let the girls out there, then run the friend home. And then, what if the friend had second thoughts about leaving the girls there -- afraid they'd ID him (or SH or NV which would lead back to him). Maybe he decided to drive back and capture the girls again, or even to kill them.
Abigail, thank you for much for the link. I appreciated lern2fli's link too, but I can never get that newspaper to bring up the article.
That last sentence in your wonderful post is kind of the way I'm leaning too - unfortunately. These creepers are scaring me.
