Jeffrey Rackover has NOTHING to do with the lawyers for LD & MG. Nothing.

My GUESS would be that LE found what are likely drugs but not proven to be that yet. A bag of white powder, for instance, could be baking soda until proven otherwise, iykwim.

This wasn't some attempt to plant phoney-baloney non-drug substances and some syringes with the victim's body in order to make it appear as though JC was murdered over his involvement in a BS drug scam (unspecified "alleged drugs")? Was strange leaving the duffel bag and gasoline by the burial site, too

I agree that fake drugs were not planted....but am suggesting that perhaps at the time of the article, LE had not yet verified what the drugs were. Hence, they were "alleged" drugs, though it's an odd way to describe "unconfirmed."

No results back yet as to what the "alleged drugs" are? That's quite odd for any major city esp NYC.

Also, they have not been charged with drug possession etc and this may be why...

My GUESS (I'm full of guesses!) is that LE knows but is tight-lipped about what is happening with the case. I was actually surprised to read in the article above what they found at the apt and body site.

It seems pretty clear to me that LD & JR are not the brightest bulbs. Even the most causal crime show watcher would have made far less "mistakes" when trying to cover up a murder and dispose of a body.

I was just about to post the same.
I am sure panic set in real quick. While JR has had a criminal past, murder is a far cry from burglary or possession.

I have a theory he is paying for all involved so it will play out the way he wants it to. If they start turning on one another, then the truth will come out regarding the depth of his possible involvement.

It seems Jeffrey conned sonny boys way into the elite building, putting all tenants at risk and now he's trying to con his way out of this mess.

I also think Jeffrey is deeply closeted and could have been blackmailed. They will probably use the self defense angle. Hopefully cops can piece it together so that doesn't happen. Jmo

I think if Jeffery were involved with the murder, those boys would be shouting it from the rooftops. They are not going to spend time in jail to save an old man.

FWIW Jeffrey is not closeted.
Also, word is Jeffrey is not paying for LD or MG defense. He is paying for JR's.
Honestly, I would think MG's dad would want nothing more to do with any of these people and can afford a good attrney for his son.

Talk about panic!

You've got Dad just a quick elevator ride away.

You've got Dad (with his own key prob) stopping in to walk your puppy or walk in unannounced as he pleases.

You've got security at front desk, security cameras in front, in the basement and you've got to clean up the place, get rid of some of the evidence (stop to bleach) and get a good sized adult male body out of your luxury Manhattan apt bldg.

Frankly, I would've called 911 and told them just come get me now

I think Jeffrey is the master manipulater behind the series of events. They were all his pawns and things tragically back fired and they are in deep. They need him again to be bailed out imo.. What a mess.
