I wonder what are the chances that whoever took her did intend on releasing her at some point which is why she was brought back to Johnstown and let out of the car in the middle of the night. Perhaps they threatened her and/or her family and told her she better never say who abducted her. Clearly I believe she would give all the info that she knew, but maybe LE is keeping what details they have quiet to protect her until they are able to catch this person. This could possibly explain why there are so few details -- they do not want to admit that they know more details than they do.

It's very weird that LE is not saying, "Rachael was held captive for 2 weeks," and providing a description of a suspect and/or vehicle. They are saying she is "claiming" she was held or that she is "indicating" she was held. That's strange wording. I don't know what to make of it.

I'm betting she talked him in to letting her go, promising she wouldn't tell on him. And I think she told police, and this is all to keep the POI unaware they are coming for him. Fwiw, i think it's her ex.
