I give up. I was trying to post the 2 pictures of the kayaks, no can do.
To identify and analyze. They both have a time stamp of 2007 BTW.

Just jumping off your post Jersey...

Either the CBSLocal reporter did not bother fact checking or

The online defense fund site has not been updated or

There is another online defense fund site.

I'm finding $120. Bucks, not $120,000., contributed to her defense.

Mention of an online defense fund here:

http://abcnews.go.com/US/york-state-police-rushed-judgment-charging-woman-fiances/story?id=30921691

You are correct epiphany. The online site only has 2 donors, one donated $20, the other $100. Nowhere near $120K

I'm just brainstorming here, trying to make this work (when it really doesn't make sense to me, either). But how's this:

She gets upset with him while they are kayaking and pulls the plug. In her dramatic temper, she throws the plug into the river. It's choppy so the waves are big enough for some water to get into the kayak, but the situation is worsened because HE gets upset trying to get the plug back or grab her and his movements cause more water to get in and perhaps even cause the capsize. In the mayhem, she grabs his paddle and then watches him struggle and die.

I honestly am not thinking drugs at this point as I don't know where she would get them and I'm not convinced she has that much forethought. I think she lives in the moment, and if she gets mad, she is horrid.

JMO, speculating, thinking aloud.

FWIW, it's very hard to move around in a kayak. He would not be able to reach the plug. You can only reach directly in front and behind you.

It's awkward and unstable. You just don't have the leverage or stability.

IMO, she would not have been able to do much on the water, she could have easily tipped. The plug would have been removed on the island IMO.

Thanks again, Bunnyhop. So, back to the island....

Thanks Kimi, there is another but I could not post it.:gaah:
Google Vince Viafore kayak images.

I was hoping to find a brand so we could determine where the plug is located.

One other thought, she worked several places as a bartender. IMO she would have easy access to get a knock out pill.

Does anyone know the make or model of Vinny's blue kayak? I tried Google Images and can't find one that looks exactly like that (trying to find where the plug is).

Also note in that picture she's not wearing a life vest.

Body found is not Vincent.

"On May 14th, 2015 an autopsy was performed by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office in Poughkeepsie, NY and the decedent was positively identified as an adult male in his early 20’s that was suspected of jumping off the Mid-Hudson Bridge in mid April 2015. The cause of death was ruled a suicide."

Vincent went missing in mid April, hopefully he will be found soon too.

I watched the news this morning, they tried to skew the facts.

I went outside this morning to take pics of my boat. It was 50 degrees and cold.

I started kayaking white water 20+ years ago with certified instructors.
I passed my lifesaving red cross at age 12.
I also passed my sailing instruction at age 40 Long Island Sound NY Sailing school with certification. I am certified.

I bought my perception kayak 10+ years ago. All my equipment is from marine stores, local.

The plug on my boat is rear/stern. Up top and very small. I had to dump my boat to drain the standing water this morning. I put my hand next to it for context.

I have 2 flotation inside my boat, so it won't ever sink. Basically Styrofoam. I took a pic inside. Here ya go, hope this works.

Let's see if this works.

Thank you so much!!!!

According to this article, it says she pulled the drain plug.

Also:

Graswald has raised $120,000 with an online defense fund and friends were in court Wednesday to show their support for her.

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2015/05/13/angelika-graswald-kayak-tampering-fiance/

I wonder if her supporters have changed their tune once they heard about her confession. (I know the amount raised for her is wrong, thankfully!).
