Notice how Kim often uses “I” when she means “you” (skylar). It’s as though she’s living vicariously through her daughter. What a weird mother to be so happy about her daughters weight and appearance! Sickening.

I noticed she used the words "I'm so jelly".

The judge allowed it is not hearsay. normally, it would be considered hearsay but not this time.

The judge may have allowed it, but that doesn't mean it's not hearsay. I'm an attorney, and am familiar with the evidence rules.

Yes - I feel like these text conversations are so disassociated from reality. They make me feel really uncomfortable knowing it's a mother and daughter texting.

IDK? If my teenage daughter had a history of lying to me, and I received an email from my long time OB/GYN by mistake saying my daughter was pregnant, I think I’d be calling the doctor first not asking my daughter.

JMHO

I don't why the assumption keeps being made that her parents believed Skylar was a habitual liar. They confronted her about all the lies she told them related to her pregnancy....that's it.

I doubt very much either of them believed she regularly lied to them, if it all. Her mother is a control freak- she'd never tolerate being lied to. And her father imo actually seemed shocked by how much she had lied to them....

I was wondering this, too. It seems a lot of people have jumped to the conclusion that Skylar was a notorious liar. I think I read maybe she lied about her boyfriend... but that was it. Many teens hide having sex from their parents, so I doubt that's it.

I am in complete shock about the way her mother discusses her weight with her.

I am so torn with mother's pushing her to lose weight after struggling for years with a major eating disorder. Why???

I don’t like that either.

I think her eating habits and lack of eating was pushed by her mother. Not necessarily an actual eating disorder. After hearing these text messages and the way her mother was encouraging Skylar with ways to lose weight. I think mom pushed Skylar into keeping her weight small. jmo moo

Is it terrible to delete messages and other data off phones or computers? I am constantly deleting email messages to clean up in folders. Not meaning if I was trying to hide anything, but just in general. Surely I am not the only one who does this

Witness Wong: Still reading texts between Kim and Skylar over the course of April and May. Majority texts are regarding working out and weight loss. We know Skylar has battled eating disorders.

I think it's probably like a single message deleted from a string of messages. If you delete whole strings or conversations, perfectly normal, but if you just delete only certain ones you might be hiding something.

Because she's a narcissist, imo. Because what her daughter looks like and what she does is all about HER, not her daughter. But... the control being exerted about Skylar's weight isn't primarily about weight at all, or Skylar's appearance. IMO.

It's about controlling the inner Skylar. Conditional love = control. As is witholding approval. As is setting Skylar up to fail, then punishing her for failing. And the term for a parent labelling abuse as love? Gaslighting.

Eating disorders usually go hand in hand with lying. Purging then denying...acting like everything is peachy keen (as Aunt described.)
Lying about how much or little you’ve eaten. There is a component of secrecy that requires lying to maintain.

This photo was taken by #SkylarRichardson 2 days after she gave birth. She suffers from eating disorders. Many texts between her and her mom where mom cheers her on to lose weight @Local12
