Dr White seems to be talking in circles to the Prosecution. He is not answering her questions and I wish she could stop him. jmo

As usual, what actually happened is unknowable, and what the jury must base their verdicts on is simply whether or not the State met it's burden of proof on each charge.

From that perspective, I'm betting the jury won't convict Skylar on either the murder or negligent homicide charges. The only evidence the State presented that the baby was born alive came from Skylar's "confession," and the odds are that one or more jurors believe her confession (such as it was) was coerced.

I don't believe it likely this jury will be OK with having her walk. Even if the jury isn't unanimous one way or another about whether the baby was stillborn or Skylar killed her accidentally or by not seeking help, I can imagine them reaching a consensus that it was Skylar's legal obligation to seek help, and that she should be held responsible for her failure to do so.

Although I feel a great deal of compassion for Skylar, believe the baby was stillborn, and understand why she didn't feel she could ask for her parents' help, I agree that she should have, and that she should be convicted on the child endangerment charge.

January 2017, so too late to father the baby. I believe it was Tre that was the father.
On the two times BSR mentioned Tre's name ( to dad and Saylor), she did so with much disdain. And I believe she had just as much disdain for his baby. MOO

Brandon testified they started dating about January 30, 2018, and had know each other for about a month before they started dating.

One of the first things dad asked BSR when he walked in the room after Interrogation #1 was who is the father. Like her dad, Brandon also texted BSR wanting to know who the father of the baby was -- he obviously knew it wasn't him. (Either they'd not yet been intimate, or Brandon didn't believe a baby conceived Feb - April would be delivered on May 7).

MOO
I get that but before Skylar went to the Dr, she might have thought the baby was Brandon's at that time. If her periods were irregular and weight was fluctuating then she might not have realized she was pregnant until shortly before the Dr visit. Even when the Dr told her she was pregnant, she might have thought it was Brandon's until the Dr told her how far along she was. And if she thought it was Brandon's she possibly could've been hoping/planning to have an abortion until the Dr informed her it was too late.

Agree. When Tre testified he said she abruptly broke up with with him after just a month of dating, claiming she was too busy for a relationship. She blocked him on all of her social media accounts and when he tried to reach out to her by phone I believe, she didn’t respond. Something happened for her to end it so quickly.

Noticed new, emotional faces in the gallery today in support of defense, and dad.

I wonder when LE went through her electronics, how far back they went or were allowed to go. Given how she did searches for information about the April doctor visit, I would be surprised if she didn't do some kind of search for information during the fall/winter if she had any suspicions she was pregnant. Not necessarily "how to get rid of a baby" but searches about symptoms, etc. I don't think we've heard anything like that, but correct me if I've missed it. I think it's pretty likely she really didn't know she was pregnant until sometime in the spring.

I think the Richardson’s have a quite a lot family there with them. I know, Scott’s sister and her husband for sure. And Kim has family sitting with her in the hall.

This is pure speculation, but maybe she had some regret or shame about having (what may have been) unprotected sex with him.

I don’t think I’ve seen this actual text posted anywhere yet, but I do recall this text being read out loud during court yesterday while watching the livestream.

IIRC, BSR said it was one of her teachers who announced her weight loss to the class and everyone clapped.

This is so totally f..... Up. When I watched the second interrogation I felt like BSR was coerced into saying certain things. I actually even felt a bit bad and sorry for her. Believe me, I was honestly surprised when I felt that way because all along I've felt that she is guilty and hoping she'd serve time.
When I see the texts and the above posting about the cheering of her weight loss in school, I swing towards locking her up again. The class cheering is just over the top for me. Unreal

I don't believe BSR for a minute believed Brandon the father. During Interrogation #1, she told both LE and her dad that the father was Tre. Tre corroborated BSR's account that they had unprotected sex (the second time they were intimate).

I remember seeing a similar go-round with one of the experts in the Michael Drejka case. (Made me feel a bit nauseated)

I find it pretty easy to imagine what was in Skylar's head with regards to how Mama Kim was going to respond if a newborn baby was suddenly born. I can picture Kim making Skylar's life hell for it. Kim was directing and encouraging her 'eating disordered since middle school' daughter to ABUSE laxatives. She is a sicko.
I honestly wonder if part of Moms pushing the weight loss was to stop the rumors that her daughter was pregnant. It's all so messed up.

I agree, but I think I have a different reaction; I think that sounds ridiculous enough that it was a lie. I think she was feeding her mother stuff like that to make her happy and proud. There are plenty of weight-obsessed teenagers out there, obviously, but a whole class that supports her disordered behavior enough to cheer? A teacher who glorifies weight loss, especially an alarming amount in a short time? I'm not saying it's impossible, I just don't believe it happened the way she described.

I found the risk factors for being a stillborn. To my knowledge Skylar had only one of them (not living with a partner):

After evaluating a number of factors, they found many maternal factors associated with stillbirth. They include:

Studies Identify Stillbirth Risk Factors, Causes
I’m way way behind but I’m driving myself nuts on this. I didn’t know about the blood type factor now I’m Curious to why that’s a factor. Do we know Skylars blood type?
