Witness White: Kraft continues questioning. Left off with Skylar saying in tapes baby gurgled and possibly moved and asks if those are signs of life and White says yes. #SkylarRichardson @dayton247now

From the context of the other texts, I believe she was referring to her trainer at the gym. She talks about her bootcamp class. So i don't believe it was in school. JMO
WHY IS THIS KID WITH AN EATING DISORDER EVEN IN A BOOTCAMP CLASS.

This doctor was insisting that Annabelle wouldn't gurgle. That in all his years, the babies don't gurgle after they're born. That's because they immediately suction and clear the airways of amniotic fluid. Something I don't think Skylar did.

Kraft says we don’t know definitively that the baby was white showing a transcript. White says correct. Kraft says he based his opinion on that and Dr. White says yes @Local12 #SkylarRichardson

I don't know is it possible the bone either swelled or dried out after she buried the baby. jmo

Believe Dr White said it wouldn't change.

RICHARDSON: Kraft is trying to poke holes in Dr. White's report & opinion that this was most likely stillbirth. Now she's going through transcripts with how Skylar describes her baby - not definitively white in color, what umbilical cord around neck means, etc. @WCPO

Are these comments so horrifically different from what a Mother might say to her sexually active daughter to encourage her to keep her Drs appointment and get on birth control? They are in context with reassurance about the exam, the Doctor, and that Mom would be there to support her.

She is explaining that unprotected sex can have very negative consequences. And isn’t that the truth! What should Mom say...well, don’t go then to the Dr., honey. If you get pregnant, Daddy and I will raise the baby, take financial responsibility and you can cheerlead, go to college, date frat boys and nothing in your life will change at all, Sweetie.

If I saw texts like this in any other circumstance, if there was no dead baby, I’d not assume the Mother was a monster.

I agree 100%, if you have just learned that your daughter has become sexually active I think these things are totally appropriate to say.

If you already suspect that your daughter is pregnant though... coupled with daughter suspecting (*knows*) that she is pregnant, then these comments would not be taken as supportive.

In that particular context, I agree with Mariposa, These are not the words of a parent telling a teenaged daughter that she would be supportive of an unplanned pregnancy.

I feel like this may have been a veiled message - It can go on my insurance, but you need to take care of this. No college. Get a job. No joke. You will be responsible. Your life will be over.

Take care of this.

And she did.

I didn’t hear the question but I do know that babies with short femur length have a higher incidence of premature delivery.

My take on it, is that the prosecutor was trying to imply the Doctor wouldn't be able to determine the age of the baby accurately by the length of the femur that was recovered. IMO she was really reaching.

Kraft now asking about SR statement to dad saying cord was not attached or wrapped around baby's neck. In her second interview with police, she said it was wrapped around baby's neck "a little bit" @Local12 #SkylarRichardson

State: You would agree you’re attaching a lot of significance to her statements in determining this is a stillborn baby?

Kraft: You are agreeing you are attaching a lot of significance to SR's statements that keep changing in favor or this being a stillborn baby?

Dr. White: Correct. @Local12

Dr. White: Teenagers tend to lie and don't tell the truth.

That's a pretty big lie, isn't it?

Dr. White: That lie is told everyday #SkylarRichardson @Local12

Did I read correctly that Dr. Brady testified that there was "no way" that the baby was stillborn? I've just read that in a tweet and I'm astonished if he did say that. Even the healthiest pregnancy can result in still birth, things can wrong very quickly.

A thought that has just occurred to me, and I may be way off the mark here because I am unfamiliar with the US health system, but if she had planned all this so meticulously, why did she go back to the same doctors office? Surely the logical thing would be to go to a different office, not back to the one that confirmed your pregnancy, where you know they will ask questions? Or are you not able to change doctors?

ETA: re gurgling...newborn babies don't typically gurgle. If she did hear any gurgling sounds it is most likely it was due to a blocked airway, baby struggling to breathe, rather than an actual vocalisation. That would be far too advanced for a baby only a few moments old.
