<modsnip>

consensus seems to be that those words are clear, but to me not so much.
The baby didn't fall through the window imo, but I don't know what could have happened.

Is there surveillance around the building, parking area, entrance area.....I hope LE is checking cameras going back a couple of days. and nighttimes (if videos are not already looped over)

Also, if something bad happened to Braylen....why make up such an improbable story? Fell out of a third floor window?
Why not say we forgot to close the front door, or we were outside and he took off?

I have listened a few times and I hear what some are saying...but...I also wonder if it is “I can’t”... which is a common phrase used by many ... meaning ‘I just can’t’...can’t deal with something, can’t believe something...just moo

That might be it. Grandma was flustered and had trouble with the address, spelling Braylen's name, couldn't remember his last name, etc. Maybe she was trying to hand the phone over to the other person present - whom I think we can assume was Braylen's mom - who may have been signaling that they couldn't talk to the dispatcher.

Why? I don't know but it's plausible IMO.

I drove past tonight after work. We had rain in Toledo bit noticed a large police presence and many people around. Looks like some type of search close to the apartment. Very sad. The creek close to where he lives has had lots of incidents to of bodies in the last few years.

At first I was sure I heard "Kilt" but that may have been tainted by reading it first before listening. Then I heard the other recording and now I am not sure.

It seems like the phone receiver is being covered up most likely by the grandmother who was making the actual 911 call. “I killed him” in the background, then silence and the 911 operator repeatedly says the call is “blocked out” aka muffled. Hinky meter is in full effect. MOO
This is a good thought and Ms Marple's phone theory above of offering phone to daughter and her refusing seems a possibility also.

A fall from the third-floor window might help explain injuries that occurred before he “went missing”
MOO

I hear "I can't..."

One question I wish a reporter would ask the mom/the family is if Braylen has ever gotten out before. Has he ever taken off in public? It would just be good to know the background.

Maybe he was dropped from the window to someone below?

I still hear "I can't breath" in the LE 911 call and "I can't" in the cleaned up version. It might be that once I heard it now I can't NOT hear it!

TOLEDO, Ohio (WNWO) — On Tuesday afternoon, Toledo Police officers and volunteers went back into rough terrain to try and find missing 3-year-old, Braylen Noble.

"They searched and did a great job, actually. It's over with now, nothing was there," said Volunteer Cody McKinley.

He has not been seen since just before 12:30 p.m. last Friday.

Since that time, volunteers have shown up in droves trying to locate Braylen.

On Tuesday, a large crowd gathered around the bridge over top of Swan Creek, as people continued to search the area.

"I mean, it's something in front of us. It's something we are missing. He's right in front of us. I feel like he's right in plain sight. It's just, we're missing something. We're not looking in the right places. From us looking back there, we have a good team. We've got a lot of people showing love, coming to find him, but the baby is right in front of us somewhere," added Volunteer Armone Belmon.

As the search enters its sixth day on Wednesday, organizers are thrilled with the generosity of volunteers.

Volunteers, TPD continue difficult search efforts for Braylen Noble

WTOL-News 11 Facebook Page: Reporter Carla Bayron did a Facebook live video on Sept. 8 late afternoon, and she answered viewers' questions.

Not a lot of new info but if she does this again, could be an opportunity to ask her directly some of the questions posted here. (Over 800 comments on that video, btw)

She did confirm that WTOL got a lot of calls immediately after airing the 911 tape, and that the police are aware of that section of the recording and are following up: That starts at @ 6:13 on the FB Live video.

ADMIN NOTE:

Remember that WS is victim friendly and mom and family are all considered victims until/unless LE officially calls foul play and names a POI.

Obviously the 911 call is not all that clear. Perhaps the person was scared and said "what if they think I kilt him" and we just don't hear the first part. Benefit of the doubt here folks and let's err on the side of the family for now.

LaborDayRN, I am now hearing the " I can't breathe " after switching headphones. I am sticking with this scenario because it is more plausible and preferable.

What is this list? People who live there?
No, sorry. Up thread I wanted names of maternal grands. But paternal are in search and vigil so I'm trying to just keep track of names. A few times it has gotten confused.

There are many ways children can go missing. Walks in the park where he starts running and you can’t keep up. You’re asleep on the couch and he sneaks out. Playing in the backyard and wanders off. We’ve all heard these stories, and most are not true. Saying, “Whelp, he was here and now he’s gone. He must have fallen out a 2-3 story window and then was kidnapped” just isn’t the normal narrative for this kind of thing. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not naive by any stretch. Sitting on my hands because I can’t think of how to say what I’m thinking. I guess I just wonder what friends/family think happened.
Yes, it's complicated now with most public places having cameras.
A child with very limited ability to take off after an ice cream truck or a butterfly.
A home that isn't out in remote farmland.
There is always the chance of abduction but in this case it would involve an unpredicted 30 minute window of time.
But anything is possible still.
I don't know what I would think if I was family.
