That might be it. Grandma was flustered and had trouble with the address, spelling Braylen's name, couldn't remember his last name, etc. Maybe she was trying to hand the phone over to the other person present - whom I think we can assume was Braylen's mom - who may have been signaling that they couldn't talk to the dispatcher.I have listened a few times and I hear what some are saying...but...I also wonder if it is “I can’t”... which is a common phrase used by many ... meaning ‘I just can’t’...can’t deal with something, can’t believe something...just moo
This is a good thought and Ms Marple's phone theory above of offering phone to daughter and her refusing seems a possibility also.It seems like the phone receiver is being covered up most likely by the grandmother who was making the actual 911 call. “I killed him” in the background, then silence and the 911 operator repeatedly says the call is “blocked out” aka muffled. Hinky meter is in full effect. MOO
Also, if something bad happened to Braylen....why make up such an improbable story? Fell out of a third floor window?
Why not say we forgot to close the front door, or we were outside and he took off?
Maybe he was dropped from the window to someone below? Also, if something bad happened to Braylen....why make up such an improbable story? Fell out of a third floor window?

I still hear "I can't breath" in the LE 911 call and "I can't" in the cleaned up version. It might be that once I heard it now I can't NOT hear it!At first I was sure I heard "Kilt" but that may have been tainted by reading it first before listening. Then I heard the other recording and now I am not sure.
LaborDayRN, I am now hearing the " I can't breathe " after switching headphones. I am sticking with this scenario because it is more plausible and preferable.I still hear "I can't breath" in the LE 911 call and "I can't" in the cleaned up version. I listened to this recording using different headphones and now I hear, " I can't breathe".
911 Call - Missing 3-year-old Braylen Noble
No, sorry. Up thread I wanted names of maternal grands. But paternal are in search and vigil so I'm trying to just keep track of names. A few times it has gotten confused. What is this list? People who live there?
Yes, it's complicated now with most public places having cameras. There are many ways children can go missing. Walks in the park where he starts running and you can’t keep up. You’re asleep on the couch and he sneaks out. Playing in the backyard and wanders off. We’ve all heard these stories, and most are not true. Saying, “Whelp, he was here and now he’s gone. He must have fallen out a 2-3 story window and then was kidnapped” just isn’t the normal narrative for this kind of thing. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not naive by any stretch. Sitting on my hands because I can’t think of how to say what I’m thinking. I guess I just wonder what friends/family think happened.
