As a reporter, some stories they just stick with you. This is one of them for me.
Nylo Lattimore is still missing, after being thrown into the Ohio river alive about a year ago. Tragically his mother Nyteisha was found on December 12th, 2020 near the Purple People Bridge in Cincinnati. She was stabbed to death. I remember a neighbor telling me at the time she never saw Nyteisha without her son Nylo.
You might remember this timeline from the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office:
Dec. 5, 2020 – Desean Brown kills Nyteisha Lattimore
Dec. 6, 2020 – Desean Brown throws Nylo in the river, alive
Dec. 11, 2020 – Desean Brown takes the body bag containing Nyteisha’s body to the Purple People Bridge
Dec. 12, 2020– Nyteisha’s body discovered by law enforcement
Dec. 13, 2020– Nylo’s stroller located in the river
I am a journalist, but I am human first. I don’t understand how someone could do something so cruel. I really don’t.
I remember the day I sat down with Nylo’s father who agreed to do an interview with me.
Here's a link to that story:

I could tell it was one of the hardest things he’s ever had to do. I am so thankful he trusted me in that moment. To this day- I am amazed at his strength. He told me then he doesn’t want anyone to ever forget about his son. I am sharing this now in hopes that you won’t. Never forgot Nyteisha too.
