It's crushing every time they fail to find him and they are so determined and so dedicated.

My mind slipped into bargaining phase and I wondered whether there was any chance LE had got it wrong in the hope, again, that maybe he had sold Nylo on to somebody wanting a child, that he just met the person at the river and only threw his pushchair in..
but the reality is they would never go for a murder charge without pretty solid evidence and it's not like he hadn't done it before.... Nyteisha...
I believe she so wanted to get away from him, she knew it was bad and she nearly made it..

Hindsight is a fine thing.

Nylo and James Hutchinson are both missing in the same river. Both disposed by people who should have been trusted. Unbelievable :(

I'm hoping for a very speedy trial and a very severe punishment on this one
It's been such a very long time now... I am haunted by the little baby's last moments and what he may have witnessed before he was allegedly murdered.
I'm hoping for a speedy trial and a very harsh punishment on this double murder.

No more searches planned for Nylo Lattimore: ‘We gave it our all’

No more searches planned for Nylo Lattimore: ‘We gave it our all’

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Thursday marks 11 months since the disappearance of Nylo Lattimore, the 3-year-old investigators say was placed in the Ohio River alive by a man also accused of killing Nylo’s mother.

Search crews have combed miles of river banks looking for Nylo and 6-year-old James Hutchinson, whose body was also placed in the Ohio River during an unrelated incident in February.

Tracy Campbell is with North Star International, a nonprofit search and rescue group.
“It’s just as heartbreaking as it was from the beginning,” she said.

NSI has no searches for Nylo planned at this time due to a lack of evidence. Still, Campbell is determined to bring the boy’s body home.

“If somebody came up and they found something then they wanted us to search that area more, absolutely we would,” she said. “But we know we’ve given it 110 percent and then some, and until we have a more concrete clue, we would just be spinning our wheels.”

The families of Nylo and his mother, Nyteisha, are planning a ceremony this Sunday to remember them on what would have been Nyteisha’s 30th birthday. (Info below)

Campbell says NSI is planning a candlelight vigil ceremony for Nylo on Dec. 18 at the Purple People Bridge. More info to come.

As a reporter, some stories they just stick with you. This is one of them for me.

Nylo Lattimore is still missing, after being thrown into the Ohio river alive about a year ago. Tragically his mother Nyteisha was found on December 12th, 2020 near the Purple People Bridge in Cincinnati. She was stabbed to death. I remember a neighbor telling me at the time she never saw Nyteisha without her son Nylo.

You might remember this timeline from the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office:
Dec. 5, 2020 – Desean Brown kills Nyteisha Lattimore
Dec. 6, 2020 – Desean Brown throws Nylo in the river, alive
Dec. 11, 2020 – Desean Brown takes the body bag containing Nyteisha’s body to the Purple People Bridge
Dec. 12, 2020– Nyteisha’s body discovered by law enforcement
Dec. 13, 2020– Nylo’s stroller located in the river

I am a journalist, but I am human first. I don’t understand how someone could do something so cruel. I really don’t.

I remember the day I sat down with Nylo’s father who agreed to do an interview with me.

Here's a link to that story: https://www.fox19.com/.../dont-give-up-nylo-father-year.../

I could tell it was one of the hardest things he’s ever had to do. I am so thankful he trusted me in that moment. To this day- I am amazed at his strength. He told me then he doesn’t want anyone to ever forget about his son. I am sharing this now in hopes that you won’t. Never forgot Nyteisha too.

Details of Disappearance
Nylo was last seen in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 4, 2020. He has never been heard from again and his mother, Nyteisha Lattimore, disappeared with him. They lived on Melrose Avenue in the Walnut Hills area.

At 3:30 a.m. December 12, Nyteisha's body was found inside a body bag near the Purple People Bridge on the Ohio River; she'd been stabbed to death. With her body was a Paw Patrol blanket with Nylo's blood on it. The next day, Nylo's stroller was also found in the river, near where his mother had been located.

Neighbors reported hearing the sounds of a struggle coming from Nylo and Nyteisha's apartment on December 5. Investigators believe Nyteisha was murdered that day by her boyfriend, Desean Brown. Photos of both Nyteisha and Brown are posted with this case summary. Authorities believe Brown threw Nylo in the Ohio River, alive, on December 6, five days before he dumped Nyteisha's body.

A few days after Nyteisha's body was found, Brown was charged with murder, felonious assault, gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence in Nyteisha's case. He had purchased a body bag from eBay, and on December 11 he took an Uber ride with the bag to the Ohio River, telling the driver that he was moving out and the bag contained his clothes.

Desean is awaiting trial in Nykeisha's case. If convicted, he could face the death penalty. He has not been charged in connection with Nylo's presumed death.

Nylo's body has not been located, but foul play is suspected in his case due to the circumstances involved.

Joseph T. Deters Hamilton County Prosecutor

Desean Brown is indicted for the Aggravated Murder of Nyteisha and Nylo Lattimore. If convicted, Brown faces the death penalty.

In response to Brown's request for a bond reduction, Assistant Prosecutor Seth Tieger argued Brown should remain in jail without bail pending trial.

Today, Judge Megan Shanahan granted the State's request and ordered Brown to continue to be detained, without bail, until his trial in October.
