Here is something to think about, the 4 Wagners started watching the Rhodens in January, And they might have started planning the murders when HR left JW, they had LE checking other people out for the crimes over 2 years, these people are crafty killers they lie cheat and steal, the accused probably had little things made up around the house to if they where to get arrested it would get charges dropped or a mistrial, do not trust what comes out of Angela Wagners mouth, or any of the rest of the accused what they would say, JMO

The W's are charged with wire, oral or electronic interception and unauthorized use of property etc January 2014 thru May 9 2017 (Count 19 and 20). I think the W's were watching the R's long before HR left JW which shows how obsessed and controlling the W's are/were.

The Wagners started stalking the Rhodens way before January 2016. According to Count 20 of their indictments, the Wagners were intercepting the Rhoden's wire, oral, and electronic communications from July 1st 2014 through May 9th 2017.

  • Note that May 2017 is when the Wagners move out of Peterson Rd. and the searches were done. Obviously their internet service was cancelled so no more cyber stalking the victim's families. They were stalking the families after the murders, why else would the indictment run to May 2017?

Its difficult to imagine how their attorneys will defend the 4 W's when there's so much of that kind of evidence against them. How do they explain why the W's cyber stalked the victims years before the murders and their families for over a year after them? What kind of excuse could they possible come up with to explain that?

We can guess why the before, but why stalk after the murders?
Humm.....
I'll take a guess. The Wagners wanted to see which way the wind was blowing--towards them or towards the Manleys?

The heat was on the Manleys, BJM took 3 lie detector tests, James was taken from his job and driven to the city to take one when he was tired and hungry and didn't pass that one. The tracker was placed and James arrested etc...

All of this would be good news to the Wagners who grabbed a hold of any piece of information that appeared to put LE on a different track away from them. But then in May 2017 Jame's charges were dropped and LE started interviewing not just them but Rita Newcomb also, and searching with Swat teams the Wagner's house and properties. Now it was time to get out of dodge.
Alaska was looking pretty good about then.
....2 Cents....

Have any of you all read if FW or RN got to see the crime scene photos, to see what their kids where capable of doing, I know that JW talked about the investigator showing him the photos on his porch in Alaska during his news paper interview?

Yes, the Wagners' lawyer at that time said Jake was shown crime scene photos:

Lawyer: AG harassing Ohio family in Rhoden case

"...It's the questions you would expect over and over and over: 'Where were you? What do you know?'" the lawyer said based on his conversations with the family. "Having (Jake) look at these pictures, some of them are horrific..."

You know why they do that right? It's to gage the suspect's reactions.
They know how an innocent person generally behaves and what they might say when confronted with photos of crime scenes. They gauged the Wagners' reactions. If they had a reason to gauge the grandmothers' reactions then maybe they did show photos to them.
Also, there is a small possibility that if the Grand Jurors were shown crime scene photos, the grandmothers saw them too...2 Cents...

Also, I think the Wagners refused lie detector tests. All just my opinion.

The 2 Manleys took multiple lie detector tests, both LM and BJM mentioned lie detectors several times in MSM interviews, so why wouldn't LE ask Jake to take one? I bet he was asked then refused and then that put more laser focus squarely on him.

The Wagners' attorney put out a whole list of how they cooperated with LE but nothing about taking lie detectors is mentioned.

The Wagners' attorney said they cooperated with LE by:
  • Providing laptops, phones and DNA willingly to authorities.
  • Agreeing to repeated interviews with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation agents in the last year.
  • Telling authorities they were traveling - and then moving - to Alaska, a place they have contemplated relocating for a decade.
  • Offering information to the BCI on business associates of one of the victims. (I believe this is Chris Sr.)

Bingo. This.

Telling authorities they were traveling - and then moving - to Alaska, a place they have contemplated relocating for a decade.

How could they ever move to Alaska without little one? Couldn't, and Hanna simply wouldn't allow it. What mom in her right mind would allow this? So the Wagners shot her whole family to death, allegedly, but true IMO. Truly like Dewine said...obsession over the control of children. Poor children. I can't imagine what they endured.

Why would FW or RN be shown any crime scene photos? Neither of them were charged in these murders. MOO

Your right, what they said about Alaska shouldn't be underestimated:

Telling authorities they were traveling - and then moving - to Alaska, a place they have contemplated relocating for a decade.

So they admit they wanted to move to Alaska but why would they want to do that after S was born? Really doesn't add up. Jake knew he couldn't move her permanently anywhere out of State. Also he would need Hanna's permission just to take her on a vacation.

Hummm.....

It doesn't add up or make sense.

The W's WANTING to move to Alaska is just more of the W's nonsense and lies. That lie helped them with LE. They didn't admit it to LE because they wanted LE to believe them.

LE was on to them and they needed to get the heck out of Pike County so they just made up ANOTHER lie.

Moo

According to the Ohio Attorney General’s office Michael Trout was placed on administrative leave for matters completely unrelated to the Pike County investigation.

Trout was an investigator when he worked on the Rhoden/Gilley case.
He then became a supervisor and his past work as a supervisor had no bearing on the Wagner prosecution, he didn't even give any Grand Jury testimony in the case. Trout was put on administrative leave June 4, 2019 in his capacity as a supervisor.

Of course defense attorneys might pounce on this, saying Trout hurt the Rhoden/Gilley murder investgations, but that amounts to just a bunch of hearsay without facts to back up the false drama.

One agent can't ruin all this work:

Several dozen state, local and federal agencies assisted in the investigation including
nearly two dozen law enforcement agencies from 10 different states and Canada:

• Adams County Sheriff's Office
• Buckeye State Sheriffs' Association
• Butler County Sheriff's Office
• Chillicothe Police Department
• Clark County Prosecutor's Office
• Columbus Division of Police
• Delaware County Sheriff's Office
• Franklin County Prosecutor's Office
• Franklin County Sheriff's Office
• Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office
• Ohio Air National Guard
• Ohio Crisis Response Team
• Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction
• Ohio Department of Taxation
• Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission
• Ohio State Highway Patrol
• Pickaway County Sheriff's Office
• Piketon Police Department
• Portsmouth Police Department
• Ross County Sheriff's Office
• Scioto County Prosecutor's Office
• Scioto County Sheriff's Office
• U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force
• Warren County Prosecutor's Office
• Warren County Sheriff's Office
• Waverly Police Department
• Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
• Customs and Border Patrol
• Drug Enforcement Agency
Federal Bureau of Investigation
• Homeland Security Investigations
• U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Ohio
• U.S. Postal Inspection Service

BCI places investigator in Rhoden case on administrative leave

How big was the Pike County murders investigation?

That’s how I do things too. However, your last sentence may hit upon the answer.
Possibly something was misfiled or something was put into the box that was forgotten.
How many people had access to the box of “important stuff”? (I don’t think we know)
I find that when I have multiple files and a large pile of accumulated filing to do, I sometimes put an item in the wrong file. I
always have to double check myself.
That includes the wastebasket too. I’ve put something in a file that was meant for the wastebasket. I like thinking about AW possibly making that mistake.

my opinion only.

IMO...if...there is something of importance in the box it may relate to murders and the forgery. If that is it then the prosecution wouldn't use in RNs case.
