Sluthers do you all wonder why GW4 stayed behind in Alaska, I think it was a test to see if anyone of the Wagners was going to get arrested and if so he would come in the middle of the night and rescue the Wagners family from jail, JMO

In bond hearing BCI agent said they came back in the spring. He said they interviewed G4 at the border in Montana so I believe he came back with them. He may have gone back to Alaska.

He could have gone back to Alaska but at the end of Sept 2018 time period there was a motion filed for change of visitation and UCCJEA filed in Adams county. There was a hearing set for end of Oct 2018 that did get changed a few times. It seems G4 asked for a Civil 35 examination of the party in the suit. If he did go back to Alaska after returning in the spring of 2018, then he was not there long because he was arrested in Ohio in Nov 2018. "It's pretty easy to actually make a silencer out of odds and ends a lot of guys have in their workshop, a homemade silencer, so to speak. I don't want to get into the semantics about silencer versus suppressor and all of that. Suppressor is the term used by the gun manufacturers, silencer is the term used by people that love gangster movies.......it's pretty much one and the same.

Someone who is planning to murder 8 people would most likely not buy a suppressor on the free market. All a silencer/suppressor does is redistribute the muzzle blast so it is muffled. For instance, a 6" long piece of steel pipe, drilled with holes and wrapped with cotton, fitted to the end of a pistol would create a pretty fair amount of suppression all by itself. I've seen people make silencers out of 2 liter coke bottles full of cotton. You wouldn't believe how something so primitive and simple almost completely eliminates the muzzle blast, but it does. We've all seen movies where a bad guy grabs a pillow, puts over the victims head, shoves the muzzle of the gun down into the pillow and pulls the trigger. That's pretty much the entire concept of a silencer. If the force of the muzzle blast is sheltered from the open air and absorbed by something soft, it will be much much quieter.

Much like everything else in this country, there would be plenty of ways for people to either make their own silencer, get it on the black market, or have an unscrupulous gunsmith do it for them. The type of people we are dealing with here probably have plenty of sources to pick from when it comes to getting their guns outfitted to their liking. Illegal ? Probably, but these aren't the type of people that are worried about breaking the law, now are they ?

I don't know if suppressors were used in this case or not, they may have just used a pillow over their head just like I described earlier, maybe that's why there were so many shots to each victim."

We now know suppressor was used and made from a Maglite flashlight. I'm sure all the info needed to make one is online.

According to Agent Scheiderer's testimony, both Jake and GW4 were involved in searching online how to build the silencers and both involved in buying parts for these and the brass catchers.

Now they're all going into the back, to judge's chambers. Hearing for 3 motions filed Feb. & March 4. Jake appears without restraint in street clothes. Attorney absent, Jake says ok with substitute attorney. Special Agent Jenkins instead of Scheiderer. May 12, 2021 is all day motion hearing, but other motions resulted in request for sooner hearing - today. Motion 54 - Other Acts; 55 - transcripts, etc. Defense withdrawing #55 (Motion to Compel the production of transcripts of audio recordings) & #56 (Motion to Compel discovery & status of State's compliance with discovery duties). Address only 54. #54: Motion to Compel the production of "other Acts" evidence. Defense says State provided evidence to their external hard drive for items in 55 & 56. Asking court today to instead of issuing a ruling today refinement something about jurisprudence. Something about asking they include explanation of why they want to use all other acts listed & if it's relevant. Says they need to satisfy some restrictions in 404B, etc. prejudicial impact. Canepa says it was a notice of what they intend to use. If Wagner objects to any of the other acts, he should say so.
