Jake and George co-owned their truck and worked for C and C Carriers I think it's called. They were on the way to pick up their truck when arrested.

Watching him swagger a little as he left the courtroom and remembering the scowl he had on his face when addressing the judge, it occurred to me there's truth to the claim that he became aggressive and domineering towards his family in the year or so before the murders.

The guy has been in jail for 3 years with piles of evidence on 21 charges related to the cold-blooded vicious murders of 8 innocent people sleeping in their beds. I've zero doubt he did it, but he's acting like his rights are being infringed upon! He has the arrogance to demand he be released on bail. Wagners are arrogant, abusive people who expect to always get their way and never be held accountable for their actions against others.

ETA: Also surprised that the jail where Billy is staying told the prosecutors that they needed a court order to take a photo of Billy's tattoo. All the other jails cooperated with similar requests of the other defendants. I wonder if FW was calling the warden at Billy's jail and making demands?

Nothing FW or any of the W4 might do would surprise me at this point.

Just thinking about BW's demeanor today in court and JW whining to his attorney that some woman in the courtroom was staring at him makes me furious. It's hard on them being stuck in jail for 29 months? Boo friggin hoo, ya big bunch of cry babies. That's a minor imposition compared to what the Rhoden, Manley and Gilley families have been going through for FIVE YEARS. JMO

This is great, I was going crazy trying to remember where I saw the company they worked for. I knew it started with 2 initials.

So I was able to edit my post.

Jake & George
worked for R&L Transportation and co-owned their truck an 18 wheeler and were on their way to pick up their truck for a job when arrested.

References are made to "their" truck being bugged, not a company truck. BCI would not be able to bug a company truck that belonged to the company that other drivers were also driving.

• Jake asked Hanna Rhoden not to tell others that her new baby wasn't his
• Jake offered HMR money to put his name on the birth certificate
• Jake limited HMR's access to her own family during the time she was living at his house
• Jake and his family wanted his family to raise S.W. and to have the child think that Angela Wagner was her mother, not Hanna
• GW4 and his family threatening to shoot Tabitha Claytor on the last night she lived with him at his home
• As with Hanna, GW4 refused to let Tabitha contact her family while she was living with him, they also wanted her to allow their child to think Angela Wagner was their mother
  
• Controlling behavior over Jake's second wife, Elizabeth Wagner, including all of her passwords, personal info, installing a tracking device on her phone. Had a PI investigate her. Same behavior as with others - no contact with her family, threats of injury or death, spying on her, etc.

Yes, and what the families and orphaned children will be going through for the rest of their lives. Losing a parent when you're young is very, very hard. Twice as bad when you lose both. You never get over it, ever. Losing parents the way they did, especially those who were present, has done a massive amount of damage.

These Wagners are way worse (with prior acts) than I imagined. No wonder they were capable of killing so many people.

And as owner you don't have to answer to a company on mileage, etc. They could go anywhere anytime. Could be why the audit was refused in Oct 2016. (According to DOT link the other day)

To paraphrase DeWine and Reader, they were pathological control freaks. A very enmeshed family. I still think some of them (especially Billy) had those crazy beliefs that they were part of some "master race". More than white supremacy, like some sort of superior blood line.

I think some of his tattoos reflected some of those belief systems - stuff related to the supremacy of northern Europeans in particular. @rsd1200 was able to explain some of it. It's cult-like - followers of Odin.

ETA: I don't think others follow it quite so radically as the Wagners. Combined with the Boondock Saints movie (which also has a theme of race/religious superiority, its a toxic mix. Boondock saints also felt their superiority obligated them to go on a mission to destroy/kill others they deemed less worthy.
