Wow, I am shocked. I spent a solid 2 years of my life researching this case. In 2016/17 I could recite from memory all family trees evolved. I backed off this case in 2018 because I felt that I had memorized every piece of info that had been made public. Will the public ever have access to the evidence in this case? IMO,MMO,ABCDEFG

We've been sending out the bat signal to them all day. Hopefully they'll check in soon.

Thank you, Almond, for all your help, too.

Another good photo

I noticed the ponytail was gone today. Also, he had a couple of weird reactions today. First to the sound of a child in the room, and when the judge was going through all of the charges, & changing his plea on each, his responses to HG and HR murder charges. He seemed to snicker/laugh but I believe it was an inappropriate response thing that sociopaths, or someone with high levels of malignant narcissism, do.

I think he laughed because he is a sociopath and those are the two he really wanted dead, and he has no remorce.

The state has been paying the attorney fees for the defense counsel of GW 3 and 4, also AW. Check the dockets, it shows approval of payment for them.

Yes, that's what I meant.

Jake's attorneys get State funding through the public defender's office.

The other 3 get State funding for private attorneys who are not from the public defender's office.

Most States use a combination of these methods.

Public Defender Programs
This type of program allows for public defenders to work independently without having to report to someone. Public defenders, within this program, are court appointed to cases. These programs are non-profit and can be considered public or private programs.

Contract Attorney Systems
This provides a government agreement with private law firms, private lawyers, and the bar association. The lawyers in each of these categories are hired as indigent defense lawyers for a certain time frame and amount.

Let us hope he does the snickers and smirk at the sentencing hearing, IMO

Not so. JW will not face death per his plea agreement but that does not apply to the others charged with capital murder.
At the above link: Jake Wagner pleads guilty to 8 counts of murder five years after Pike County massacre
"George, Billy and Angela still face the murder and other charges but as part of Jake's plea agreement they will no longer face the death penalty as long as Jake testifies against them. "
Forgive my tired head but am I reading this wrong?

Nope not wrong.

But this is something we should double-check - research to make sure it is true.

If so, it clearly changes things. I will listen to the hearing to see if this is mentioned.

Nope - I deleted my post when I realized that I misread the Columbus Dispatch report incorrectly.

Actually, it follows that the State would agree NOT to seek death for the remaining accused because another family member as the key witness for the State would probably make for easy grounds for an appeal upon conviction.

I think it's better this way -- they'll all have fair trials and hopefully, the Rhoden family will receive complete justice for the massacre of their family. MOO

Yes - learned that both Ohio and Florida have a limited number of employed public defenders in the state and rely heavily on contracting with outside firms (re. talking heads during the arraignments for the Frostproof accused killers of four victims).

Wagner faced more charges than the rest of his family, and is the only one of the four defendants who is represented by the state public defender's office, attorneys William Mooney and Greg Meyers.

Also learned that contracting with separate, private attorneys assists in cases such as this when multiple members from the same family charged to eliminate conflict of interest by attorneys.

Does anyone find it suspicious we haven't heard from Angela but then we find out Jake has been actually cooperating?

Did Angela's attorneys tell her and this is why we haven't seen a Motion hearing from her?

Hummm...

Then there is that medical issue that came up. For some reason she had to travel for medical.

I've been wondering about Angela's medical issue. Do we know if the request was to see a Dr, or to a hospital perhaps? Maybe it's menopause.

We'll do all the smirking and snickering during the sentencing hearing.

I understood it was a scheduled partial lobotomy to correct a previously done DIY lobotomy performed by the apparent ghost who the W clan believed the country would be conviced did it.
Finally. Covid. Free. And cool news to come home too!

Maybe the jailer told Jake Wagner that Charles Reader would be sharing his jail cell is the reason he decided to admit to the murders????
