I wonder if this brothers court date next week had anything to do with this? Maybe someone got wind that the brother could be doing the same with a deal and he wanted to jump first?

It might be just as simple as wanting to finally be able to communicate freely with family members and having certain other prison privileges that aren't afforded those on death row?

Wow, I am shocked. I spent a solid 2 years of my life researching this case. In 2016/17 I could recite from memory all family trees evolved. I backed off this case in 2018 because I felt that I had memorized every piece of info that had been made public. Will the public ever have access to the evidence in this case? IMO,MMO,ABCDEFG

Does anyone find it suspicious we haven't heard from Angela but then we find out Jake has been actually cooperating?

Did Angela's attorneys tell her and this is why we haven't seen a Motion hearing from her?

Then there is that medical issue that came up. For some reason she had to travel for medical.

Realizing your child, JW, was going to confess and seal your own fate could cause medical or mental issues.

Then I remembered haring the words over and over

"I am guilty your honor"

Did we ever think we would hear those words? Let lone from Jake.

Prayers have been answered.

Now on to the hearings/trials of the other 3.

Yes, that's what I meant.

Jake's attorneys get State funding through the public defender's office.

The other 3 get State funding for private attorneys who are not from the public defender's office.

Most States use a combination of these methods.

IIRC, there were not enough public defenders who were certified for death penalty cases, so they had to contract with outside attys. IMO, I think that the attys for the other 3 W's are only doing what their clients are telling them to do, esp in GW3's case.

But, however this is interpreted, I feel it puts tremendous pressure on Jake to reveal all and testify to the truth as to all events and all actions of all participants TO SAVE THE LIVES OF THE OTHER 3 W's .
So, if Jake does not come thru with total truth, Death Penalty for MOM, DAD, BROTHER. We now know AC has a solid case against all W's.

AC is brilliant - a genius chess move.

His attorneys said he knows he will die in prison.

"Family's been through hell. While today, I'm sure was a very gratifying day, it couldn't have been an easy day. They've got to be leaving here just totally exhausted and, you know, emotionally spent. But these are tough people, these are strong people," DeWine said.

Can a person who knows the murdering culprits of 8 individuals be charged for accessory after the fact for simply not reporting the crime? Or, must their participation be greater?

DeWine said the rest of the Wagners were unaware of Jake's plea deal and yesterday would be the first time they hear of it. He said they've been kept separate from each other and they may learn the news through gossip in the jail "grapevine".

They will all have to consider making their own plea deals now. Assume their attorneys will be contacting them.

I wonder whether Jake took the deal first so he would be more likely to get a better deal. Once he has provided the state with all the information (told them where to find weapons and cars used in the murders), the other family members don't have any bargaining chips. Ultimately, the judge will decide on the sentences of the others, but Jake's deal does take the DP off the table for them, too.

Today we need to see about getting copies of AC's Statement of Facts for Jake and a copy of his plea agreement.

Those books should be very popular, as so little about the case was reported (to protect the investigation). The surviving family members gave very few interviews, so it will be good to hear more from their perspective, any suspicions they had, events leading up to the murders, etc.

Some profits from books or movies, etc. should go to the orphaned children and surviving family members who endured so much hardship and grief.

I hope Sheriff Charlie Reader writes a book. It would be very interesting to hear what happened from his perspective.

Wow!!! I checked in last night catching up on the last few days post and was shocked Jake made the deal woke this morning to check and make sure It was real. Thanks to everyone for keeping this organized and up to date! From day one I was pulled in by the sheer horror of it all. I would love to be a fly on the wall to know how the others reacted to this deal! I really hope this is a good start to bringing some peace to Rhoden, Manley and Gilley families

We'll know soon enough but I do believe papa Georgie killed Chris Sr and gary, as well as, KR . Papa Georgie had an ax to grind against Sr. He wanted Sr to suffer. Imo.

That's a really good question. It would have to be a place where they felt comfortable hiding something, where the items could be retrieved and where they could observe any time to make sure no one had discovered them.
