As for her That’s suspicious to me also , no response from the court ?
As for AW not standing up for herself …. IMO she either knows they screwed up and is just bidding her time. And her attorneys know it and they aren’t pushing for phone privileges. Or its part of a plan that she suffers mental issues.

Oh my gosh. All those mental health issues in a discovery file. Posted by CO and Mod approved.

In file #86.8

#157.4 is the private investigator file.

AWO #52.7 is an Invoice for Legal Video Services LLC

Actually it's only in the one file 86.8

157.4 is the private investigator file.

AWO 52.7 is an Invoice for Legal Video Services LLC
Actually, I don't think any of the entries in AW1(1) are for mental health services. The person providing the services is a private investigator, not a psychologist or counselor. Not sure if it is against TOS to post his info here, so consider it JMO. If you do an online search of his name, you'll find the reference to his profession.

This Death Penalty Mitigation expert, James F. Crates, brought a psychologist or psychiatrist on board to evaluate Angie, this is what they do. There are at least 9 references to Psyche in his reports. He is not a PI.

What Does A Mitigation Specialist Do? | Mitigation C…

The mitigation specialist compiles a comprehensive and well-document psycho-social history of the client based on an exhaustive investigation; analyzes the significance of the information in terms of impact on development, including effect on personality and behavior; finds mitigating themes in the client’s life history;

identifies the need for expert assistance; assists in locating appropriate experts; provides social history information to experts to enable them to conduct competent and reliable evaluations; and works with the defense team and experts to develop a comprehensive and cohesive case in mitigation.

Her motion to reinstate phone contact with family was filed 6/14/21, and the supplemental discovery disclosing her phone calls in April was filed exactly 7 days later on 6/21/21.

I have two suspicions as to why the motion to reinstate phone calls to family hasn't been acted upon: (1) That particular motion may require a hearing to be approved by the judge. A motion requesting medical treatment is of more importance, and the judge may be comfortable granting that motion's approval without a hearing. But asking to have her phone calls to family reinstated, which privileges were taken away because she repeatedly broke the rules, is of less urgency than a medical appointment.

And/or (2) When AW's attorney's filed the motion on 6/14/21, they had no idea she had broken the rules--yet again--on 4/22/21 by making un-permitted phone calls. That left AW's attorneys looking pretty foolish when, seven days after filing that motion, it was revealed that AW had once again made phone calls without permission. IMO, either her attorney's are upset because they were made to look like fools, or they know there's little if anything to be gained by pursuing the matter since AW defied the court again.

I think it's the 2nd paragraph thanks. Her attorney said in court that they had told her not to make any phone calls to any of her indicted family members. Note they did not even try to defend Angie on the prosecution's motion to suspend mail and phone.

Actually Rita sent Angie mail. 2 Cents

You missed my point.

Your post made it sound as though this particular person was providing mental health services, i.e., counseling/therapy) to AW.
That was my impression based on your post. I may have misunderstood. If so, my apologies.

However, yes, Mr. Crates is a private investigator:

In my opinion, having typed hundreds of psychological and psycho-social exams in the last 30 years, this person has never even met AW. He is a private investigator. He gathers information on AW, her education, her job history, her family dynamics, etc., and he provides it to a psychiatrist or psychologist. The psychiatrist/psychologist will take the info from there to prepare his/her case and testify on AW's behalf as the expert witness at trial. If you look at the invoice, on 9/30 there is entry for: Chronology prep for counsel and expert.

To bolster my point that this individual has never even met AW: In going through every entry in his invoice, there isn't one single entry for a conference with the defendant or p/c (phone call) with the defendant.

ETA: Regarding your comment "There are at least 9 references to Psyche in his reports", those references are for billing his time spent making phone calls (p/c) and communications (comm), etc., with the psychiatrist.

I agree, it's probably the second paragraph. No point in trying to defend her when there's proof she defied the court...again....and again......JMO

I think both of us are right.

I'm just going by the Discovery Document that says he works for the

Death Penalty Mitigation and Defense Based Sentence Projects.

He can be a PI and work on Angie's mitigation.

He is asking the court to pay for expert expenses and there are at least 9 psyche
references in his billing. He is obviously involved in obtaining psychological evaluations on Angie or he wouldn't be billing for them.

Just how it looks to me

I believe he his both a PI and mitigation expert. If you search him you will see he has been involved in other cases as a mitigation expert.

I believe for this expense request though, he only researched female psyches and consulted with them on AW/case. Does not seem he was in contact with AW directly at least for the time period on the invoice.

These are not discovery documents (well, to us they may as well be). They have good information in them. They are expense payment request invoice, just do not want anyone to get confused on that. These are not documents the state or defense turned over as discovery.

Hey thanks! Appreciate your clarification. Please ignore in my posts where I liken them to Discovery Documents.

If you mean the invoice, I believe that when it was submitted that thier names got switched and referenced on there wrong by mistake. AW's has his name and G4's had her name but G3 and JW were correct. That is just what I think happened when I had looked at it back when I got them. I could be totally wrong.
