What I heard listening to AC's summary was just that - she gave a lengthy summary of the crimes committed by the Wagners against the Rhodens. It was a description of evrything they did that the 22 counts were based on.

Later, though, AC addressed Angela Wagner specifically. She said (paraphrasing) "we know that you did help plan the murders and helped buy supplies. When JW, Billy and GW4 left your home that night, you knew exactly where they were going and what they were going to do. When they came home later they talked to you about what they did. Afterwards you helped them cover up, hide evidence and lied about what happened, etc."

Im pretty sure that's what was said. They said she still could have been convicted of murder, but they made a deal with her.

Listen to AC'S statement again and let us know what you think.

Ok I'm confused...either I did not see entire video or misunderstood what was said. The judge read her charges that sounded to me and would indicate AW being there at every scene, the gun she had etc., then when AC said that she knew where the guys were going, what they were going to do and was there when they came home... so when did she help move bodies???

Maybe she went back to the crime scenes...

I want at least 1 trial but I expect GW3&4 to plea now that JW and AW have.

IMO I think Deering meant from yesterday to the time of her sentencing.

Yup. The other way around makes no sense to me. Never happens.

Could be a typo. Or, could be that by now they all have realized there will be at least an hour discussion, negotiation in Judges Chambers before anything else gets started. So Billy wouldn't be need, maybe not until noon, if even then

Anyone? is there a holding cell there at the CourtHouse?

Yes, there is a secure area for inmates and they also use it to change into their street clothes, use the restroom and even eat sack lunches etc...

I didn’t know if it was a typo or if they changed the time.

They already had those hearings on the calendar for a long time, but they could now make them a plea hearing I guess.
Yeah I knew the hearings were already scheduled, the wording and times stuck out to me.

I'd like the same answers. The court sound system has never been good. Judge Deering doesn't speak loud enough or he's too far from the microphone.
I'm just curious as to whether she did or didn't move bodies. Was she there or not. Has AW been telling porkies?

Yeah I knew the hearings were already scheduled, the wording and times stuck out to me.

A couple changes are going on and these changes to George and Billy make me think the possibility of guilty pleas are coming. Just wondering if this could happen.

1.) Time change. George's Hearing has changed from 1:30 pm to Noon and Billy's has changed from 11:00 am to Noon.

2.) Warrants being served to transport them.

This I think means more security being used to transport them.

With the Warrant served to transport Angie she was seen after court being escorted into a white van with other white vans parked next to hers, extra LE presence, and all LE officers were wearing bullet proof vests.

This was not the case for George when he left court the last time he was there. He was escorted out of the building into the back of a regular Sheriff's car. There was the normal amount of LE present and they were not wearing bulletproof vests and there were no vans and no extra police cars parked together etc....

This link has a interruption in it as well, but Canepa picks back up at 2:51:38

Canepa’s Closing Statement
As best as I could hear it..

Jake Wagner spent two days providing us information which ultimately came into this court April 22, 2021, 5 years to the day after the homocides and admitted to the courts that he was guilty of each and every one of the 23 counts contained in his indictment. As noted, the information he provided also implicated each of his co-defendants as also being complicit in all of the offenses. Again, (inaudible).

More recently your honor we sat down with the defendant present in court today, AW, as she had indicated should would also like to do a proffer by providing us information about she and the others involved in (inaudible) crimes.

As this court knows, the state did not provide the proffer statement of Jake Wagner to any mutual defendants or their counsel because the state wanted to ensure that if any other individuals chose to come forward, their statements would be pure, untainted, and uninfluenced by Jakes statements. In that way, we could test the veracity of the statements of JW and any others that came forward.

We just today provided a copy of the proffered statements of both Jake and Angela to George’s attorney, but until this afternoon, nobody else other than the state has been in possession of those.

In her statement, AW admitted that she and her family members JW, GW and BW all conspired together to commit these horrific offenses. Specifically, they entered into the homes at four different locations which we have already outlined in the indictment in order to kill these victims in this case.

Some were specifically targets of the Wagners, some sadly were killed simply because they happened to be there. After planning for months to commit these homocides and then carrying them out, the four co-defendant’s spent their time trying to conceal any evidence of the crime including asking others to be dishonest with us. Angela admitted to purchasing some items leading up to the offenses that were meant to help her other 3 co-defendants to carry out the crimes. Such a a phone jammer which prevents call for help and the shoes that her two sons wore during the homocides were specifically of the size and style they would not typically wear and also to finding, printing off, and forging the custody documents in question.

She also admitted to being the one who would monitor the Facebook accounts of these two individuals whose accounts they hacked into. She was fully aware of the plans as they had discussed them at length with each of her 3 co-defendants both together and separately. She was aware the night they walked out the door on April 21, 2021 of where they were going and what they were going to do and she was present in the (church??) the next morning having completed the crimes.

She had some conversations with them after the fact as well confirming what they had done. As noted and then tried to cover up there involvement and AW helped with those efforts as well. What the defendant provided to us in her statements was very consistent with what her son JW had provided to us this year. Angela was also able to provide us with some additional details including information about other crimes her family has committed over the years.

Based on the totality of information now known by the state including the statements of the defendant and her co-defendant JW we have overwhelming evidence that the defendant and the 3 co-defendant members of her family are responsible for planning and carrying out the homocides of CR, GR, FR, HHG, DR, HMR, CJRR, and KR which occurred on or about April 22, 2016 of which the defendant admits of both her and her family’s involvement.

Both Jake and Angela have admitted in the late hours of April 21 into the early morning hours of April 22, 2016 is when they committed these murders. The defendants three co-defendants trespassed into each of the four residents where the victims were found with the intent to kill them. They were armed with firearms at least two of which had home made silencers affixed to them. The four conspired together in the months that led up to these offenses being fully aware of what the plan was, and all four co-defendants took part in that such as making various purchases to accomplish the goal.

They removed the phones of all victims and cameras and other surveillance equipment to deter detection destroying those items. Additionally, they destroyed those items along with trying to destroy and discard in a concealed manner the silence prototype along with all other evidence of this case including weapons, evidence and other incriminating items. They forged documents and asked others to lie to cover up that particular crime.

They hacked into FB accounts of these two individuals allowing them access to information that ultimately became the motive for these crimes. The defendant engaged in a pattern of corrupt activity by as a criminal with her immediate and some extended family members while acting individually (inaudible)

At this point your honor, the defendant has in essence admitted to committing these offenses with her family members and admits to personally assisting with the planning and operations of these crimes and either committing all of the offenses contained in the indictment directly or being complicit in the commission of them.

As noted she has also agreed to provide truthful testimony in the trial of her co-defendants should she be called to do so.
All these offenses did occur in Pike County or in another county were committed as a continuing course of conduct affiliated with the homocides that were ultimately committed in Pike County OH such that all of counts of the indictment are properly in the jurisdiction of Pike County.

Regarding John Doe listed on the indictment, IMO John Doe was listed to cover any unknown DNA that may have been found at any of the crime scenes that no match was found for . In doing this it allows the prosecutor’s to commence prosecution and avoid the statute from running out . And in listing John Doe the police can continue efforts to identify the suspect.

I agree my mind is leaning towards a plea change.

I agree this is confusing. AC stated AW said when “they “ walked out the door that night. Was she referring to the 4 of them or to BW,G4 & JW?

I can certainly see why they would want that but I a not sure they can get that. Once the case is concluded I think they are public record in Ohio. CRjr may be sealed since he was a minor.
IMO I would try to have the autopsy records sealed of the parents murdered so that the surviving children can’t access the records accidentally or on purpose off the internet for at least 18 years or until they are of adult age.

IMO the Wagner’s all fit the definition of being psychopaths.

Just the 3 guys went Angie stayed home. She knew what they were going to do when they left. They told her about it when they got back.

IMO the Wagner’s all fit the definition of being psychopaths.

Signs of a Psychopath
Psychopathic traits may emerge during childhood and grow worse over time. Here are some of the most common signs of a psychopath:

This first one sounds exactly like all 4 Wagners

Criminal versatility — Psychopaths tend to view rules as suggestions—and they usually view laws as restrictions that hold them back. Their criminal behaviors are often quite varied. Driving infractions, financial violations, and acts of violence are just a few examples of the array of crimes one might commit. Of course, not all of them get incarcerated. Some may operate under shady businesses or engage in unethical practices that don’t lead to an arrest.

Parasitic lifestyle — Psychopaths may have sob stories about why they can’t earn money, or they might often report being victimized by others. Then, they take advantage of the kindness of others by depending on them financially. They use people to get whatever they can with no regard for how a person may feel.

Lack of realistic, long-term goals — A psychopath’s goal might be to become rich or be famous. But quite often, they have little idea about how to make these things happen. Instead, they insist that somehow they’ll get what they want without putting in the effort to get there.

Irresponsibility — Promises don’t mean anything to psychopaths. Whether they promise to repay a loan or sign a contract, they aren’t trustworthy. They may shrug off child support payments, get deeply in debt, or forget about obligations and commitments.

Lack of responsibility — Psychopaths don’t accept responsibility for the problems in their lives. They see their issues as always being someone else’s fault. They frequently play the role of the victim and enjoy sharing stories about how others have taken advantage of them.

Poor behavioral controls — Psychopaths struggle to follow rules, laws, and policies much of the time. Even if they set out to follow the rules, they usually don’t stick to them for long.

Impulsivity — Psychopaths respond to things according to the way they feel. They don’t spend time thinking about the potential risks and benefits of their choices. Instead, they want immediate gratification. So they may quit a job, end a relationship, move to a new city, or buy a new car on a whim.

Lack of empathy — Psychopaths struggle to understand how someone else might feel afraid, sad, or anxious. It just doesn’t make sense to them as they’re not able to read people. They’re completely indifferent to people who are suffering—even when it’s a close friend or family member.

Lack of remorse — Psychopaths don’t care how their behavior affects other people. They may forget about something that hurts someone, or they may insist that others are overreacting when their feelings are hurt. Ultimately, they don’t experience any guilt for causing people pain. In fact, they often rationalize their behavior and blame other people.

Shallow affect — Psychopaths don’t show many emotions—at least not genuine ones. They may appear cold and unemotional much of the time. But when it serves them well, they might exhibit a dramatic display of feelings. These are usually short-lived and quite shallow. For example, they may show anger if they can intimidate someone, or they might show sadness to manipulate someone. But they don’t really experience these emotions.

Superficial charm Psychopaths are often likable on the surface. They’re usually good conversationalists, and they share stories that make them look good. They may be funny and charismatic as Psychopaths love excitement. They like to have constant action in their lives, and they frequently want to live in the “fast lane.” Quite often, their need for stimulation involves breaking rules. They may enjoy the thrill of getting away with something, or they might even like the fact that they could “get caught” at any moment. Consequently, they often struggle to stay engaged in dull or repetitive tasks, and they may be intolerant of routines.

Grandiose sense of self-worth — Psychopaths have an inflated view of themselves. They see themselves as important and entitled. They often feel justified to live according to their own rules, and they think that the laws don’t apply to them.

Manipulative — Psychopaths are really good at getting other people to do what they want. They may play on one person’s guilt while lying to get someone else to do their work for them.

Pathological lying — Psychopaths tell lies to look good and get out of trouble. But they also tell lies to cover up their previous lies. They have difficulty keeping their stories straight sometimes as they forget what they’ve said. If challenged by anyone, they simply change their story again or rework the facts to fit the situation.

Promiscuous sexual behavior — Since they don’t care about the people around them, psychopaths are likely to cheat on their partners. They may engage in unprotected sex with strangers. Or they may use sex as a way to get what they want. Sex is never an emotional or loving act for them.

Many marital relationships — Psychopaths may get married because it serves them well. For example, they may want to spend a partner’s income or share their debt with someone else. But their behavior often leads to frequent divorces as their partners eventually see them in a more accurate light.

I am sure you could go to court and try to do that. I know Dale Earnhardt's wife was successful at having his autopsy photos sealed but I am not sure how much that cost her. All states may be different in how they handle autopsy results being made public. I think Ohio is a public state for autopsies.

I'm becoming more confused. Relistened this morning and still thought I heard "moving bodies". At one point it sounds like she was inside all homes. Then AC reads her but out and it's coming across differently, as though AW was at home.
The hearing it's self sound wise is very bad apart from AC. She is nice and loud, but omg she does talk quickly in places.
So I still don't have an answer.

Oh, hang on! If SW was taken the night of the killings, was AW there to take the little one out before the killing started?

If AW stayed home, How then could she have helped move the bodies and tamper with other evidence?
