Having numerous conversations (overheard) about revenge and escape when they knew they were the subjects of a laser focus investigation.

DeWine even asked for information on interactions... ie...conversations people had with them. Ever hear of a wiretap? Loose lips sink ships.

Why is this "Hillbilly Justice"?

The W's wanted "Full" custody of HR's child. They couldn't risk going to court for "Shared" custody so they murdered the entire family to obtain custody allegedly.

I have lived in Appalachia and this isn't Hillbilly Justice.

What did the R's do wrong? HR allowed them to have SW every other week. Normal people would not agree to sign away custody of their daughter/granddaughter. It looks to me like HR was willing and wanted JW to visit SW every other week.

The W's were not content with 26 weeks out of the year. They wanted SW full-time for themselves.

That's just evil and selfish people.

I may be completely wrong here, Charlie might be able to tell us more about it. I heard that you could homestead land in AK. 150 acres or something like that. You have to live on the land for 6 months and make improvements to it then it is yours. Only certain areas of wilderness land is available for homesteading. You have to apply through the state of AK.

Agree, if this was over control of a child, it was not Hillbilly Justice, it was over control of a child. Had a R killed a W, and the W family retaliated by coming for, and killing the R(s) responsible, that would be Hillbilly Justice (imo).

Idk if local Wallys had it there in 2016, but where one of the kids live, they now can do the online shopping and just pick their stuff up at a designated time. I've not tried this, so am unsure where all it is available, or exactly how it works. I'm guessing kinda like the grocers who used to deliver your groceries, only you pick them up curbside now. It would keep them from appearing on cameras, but, that pesky transaction is still there, recorded, in Wallys digital underbelly.

Remember Smiley and how he went on that huge rant when the laser focus came out? Remember how many times he said it wasn't the Wagners, could not be over custody, and insisted the Wagners were just a nice church going family?

Maybe they were over there Johnny (the forums that were shut down). AW went berserk defending herself in the Rhoden Facebook groups, she got very angry if anyone questioned her or doubted her or were suspicious of Jake etc....She tried to drive the narrative....control....control....control...........

I think it possible that someone was bragging. Perhaps amongst each other at the Farm and hired help overheard. If GW3 did in fact acquire the scorpion tattoo since the murders and it’s design represents he killed 8 people then his arrogance may have given a strong clue.

The scorpion tat was a VERY stupid thing to get especially on his hand. He should have had it out on his butt. There’s a full body tatted guy in England who just had his ding a ling (had to find a word for it I could use here, apologies if it’s an immature word as well or if anyone was offended) tattooed. They wrapped it over a rolling pin to be able to get a clear image for the tat. George’s tat is that stupid. The minute a LEOs viewed it, they knew what it represented. And maybe he does have a butt tattoo.

Picking up Sophia at an odd time just hours prior to the killings.

Evidence they left undestroyed.

Moving to Alaska and affiliating themselves with a church affiliated with Olson’s Alaska Militia Organization.

Involving AWs mother in any size shape or form. It appears she has had a very hard life and has no electricity, wood heat yet cares for her own very elderly mother.

Being so arrogant to not consider the gargantuan impact on the children left behind, the scores of other relatives and friends.

There’s the dollar cost of the investigation. The emotional amount paid by us who didn’t live close but who were absolutely shell

A yet unrealized impact on a community,state and nation we won’t understand for decades.

They exposed the absolute underbelly of Appalachia most of us thought had faded away, HILLBILLY JUSTICE. Most of us never would guess that people still have such a careless disregard for life.

You say you are from Michigan and moved to Alaska. Can the same claim be made that you moved there and was affiliated with Olson's Alaska Militia since Olson was from Michigan and moved to Alaska?

When I go to Walmart, I always wave to at least one camera. There are a lot of them. Even if they bought on line with a gift cart or something, they would be on camera picking it up or have to give an address to have it shipped....

How is it known that LE knew what that tattoo represented as soon as they saw it?

Duds, I don’t know it for a fact. But I can assume that if it was picked up on WS, by some pretty intelligent bright people LE WOULD HAVE NOTICED IT AS WELL.

I’m embarrassed at the times I miss things such as this tattoo, but this is what makes this site so inspiring. Those of us who miss things are in awe of the posters who pick up my shortcomings and catch detail.

Having the absolute privilege of sharing opinions and knowledge is what makes WS a great place to learn. As in the matter of GW3, I had no idea that the scorpions abdominal features meant anything. It was not a remarkable piece of tattoo art, and while I thought it tasteless I also failed to realize the potential importance. The timing and the relationship between the abdominal design could very well be of importance. I learned a lot about something I didn’t know.

I expected to have scorpions here in the desert. And when I first moved I learned as much as possible about them. One fact I learned is that they do NOT have a tail. It looks like a tail but it’s actually the abdomen. The next one I found drowned in a watering pail became my learning project. I very carefully made darn sure it was dead and I used thick leather welding gloves to pin it on a piece of foam. Yup. The part that looks like a tail is part of their digestive system. I learned a bunch that day. First most of them are tiny. Second it’s diffucult to handle small critters with welding gloves. Third, all the virulent fear I had with them kind of went away. I have a high regard for them, but I no longer panic when I very occasionally come across one. It’s my way of learning. And the posters who caught the scorpion tat art are brilliant.

I frequently post, and have for years, that if I post here it’s my opinion. I miss it at times, but it’s well known. I’ll try to do better.

Agree. From all the evidence, the Rhoden family did nothing to bring these murders upon themselves. Nothing. The problem is with the Wagners. Angry, evil, lazy, dishonest, arrogant, delusional, entitled Wagners.

It's surprising that, after all the evidence and arrests, some folks are still trying to find a reason to blame the Rhoden family for their murders, as if they did something to provoke the Wagners. They didn't. The Wagners are brutal psychos, period. They're 100% to blame for these murders.

There was no feud, no "hillbilly justice", no quid pro quo. Just one family trying to defend themselves from attacks by another. Rhodens didn't going over to the W's house to assault or steal from them. There were no reports of Hanna Rhoden assaulting or threatening Jake Wagner.

Just a brutal murder of 8 innocent people by someone who felt they were entitled to do so.

When Billy Wagner was arrested at 1:18 p.m. in Fayette County, Kentucky, on Tuesday (11/13/18), he was reportedly hiding in the back of a Flying W Farms horse trailer. In a coordinated mission, teams of law enforcement fanned out to make the arrests nearly simultaneously: Angela Wagner was arrested at her Scioto County home at 1:10 p.m., George and Jake Wagner were arrested during a traffic stop in Ross County at 1:13 p.m., Newcomb was arrested at home at 1:25 p.m. and, at 2:19 p.m., authorities crashed through the padlocked metal gates at Flying W Farms and arrested Fredericka Wagner.

Wagner was released from the Pike County Jail Thursday (11/15/18) night on a $100,000 surety bond. To be fingerprinted at Pike Co Sheriff's office. To have no contact with any members of victims' family. Will be under electronically monitored house arrest. Should not leave her premises except for consulting with her lawyer, medical appointments, however she must document in advance any reason to leave which must be approved. Must notify pre-trial services officer when she leaves. May leave for court hearing. Not to use alcohol or controlled substances, she may take prescriptions prescribed by licensed physician. Had Arraignment hearing on 11/15.
On Tuesday (11/27/18), Fredricka Wagner's attorney, James Owen, filed a motion to modify her bond "to allow her to leave her residence during normal work hours to travel to her place of employment." Will be discussed on 1/10/18 Pretrial & Motions hearing.
*Rita Jo Newcomb (65) (Maternal grandmother) indicted (11/12/18), arrested (11/13/18), charged & arraigned (11/15/18) with 3 counts forgery, 1 count obstructing justice & 1 count perjury. Plead not guilty. $50K Surety bond.
DA alleges Newcomb lied to the Grand Jury & forged custody papers before the murders.
To place her under electronic monitor/house arrest. RN gives her mother's address. Court sets monetary bond at $50,000, will permit cash surety or 10% deposit. Will be under electronically monitored house arrest at her mother’s in South Webster, Ohio. To be put into Pre-Trial Services program. Can leave for medical emergencies, lawyer appointments, medical appointments. Must clear everything with Pre-Trial Services officer. Must keep Pre-Trial Services officer advised of her current address. With exception of medications prescribed by licensed physician for her, not to consume alcohol or controlled substances.

Corrupt activity includes: Aggravated Murder, Aggravated Burglary, Unlawful Possession of a Dangerous Ordnance, Tampering with Evidence and Obstructing Justice, plus everything in Counts 1 thru 21. The indictment uses the qualifier and/or for these activities, meaning some could be guilty of one or all of these.
When Billy Wagner was arrested at 1:18 p.m. in Fayette County, Kentucky, on Tuesday (11/13/18), he was reportedly hiding in the back of a Flying W Farms horse trailer. In a coordinated mission, teams of law enforcement fanned out to make the arrests nearly simultaneously: Angela Wagner was arrested at her Scioto County home at 1:10 p.m., George and Jake Wagner were arrested during a traffic stop in Ross County at 1:13 p.m., Newcomb was arrested at home at 1:25 p.m. and, at 2:19 p.m., authorities crashed through the padlocked metal gates at Flying W Farms and arrested Fredericka Wagner.
*Fredericka Carol Wagner (76) (Paternal grandmother) indicted (11/12/18), arrested (11/13/18), charged & arraigned (11/15/18) with 1 count of perjury & 1 count of obstruction of justice. Plead not guilty. $100K Surety bond.
Wagner was released from the Pike County Jail Thursday (11/15/18) night on a $100,000 surety bond. To be fingerprinted at Pike Co Sheriff's office. To have no contact with any members of victims' family. Will be under electronically monitored house arrest. Should not leave her premises except for consulting with her lawyer, medical appointments, however she must document in advance any reason to leave which must be approved. Must notify pre-trial services officer when she leaves. May leave for court hearing. Not to use alcohol or controlled substances, she may take prescriptions prescribed by licensed physician. Had Arraignment hearing on 11/15.
On Tuesday (11/27/18), Fredricka Wagner's attorney, James Owen, filed a motion to modify her bond "to allow her to leave her residence during normal work hours to travel to her place of employment." Will be discussed on 1/10/18 Pretrial & Motions hearing.
*Rita Jo Newcomb (65) (Maternal grandmother) indicted (11/12/18), arrested (11/13/18), charged & arraigned (11/15/18) with 3 counts forgery, 1 count obstructing justice & 1 count perjury. Plead not guilty. $50K Surety bond.
DA alleges Newcomb lied to the Grand Jury & forged custody papers before the murders.
To place her under electronic monitor/house arrest. RN gives her mother's address. Court sets monetary bond at $50,000, will permit cash surety or 10% deposit. Will be under electronically monitored house arrest at her mother’s in South Webster, Ohio. To be put into Pre-Trial Services program. Can leave for medical emergencies, lawyer appointments, medical appointments. Must clear everything with Pre-Trial Services officer. Must keep Pre-Trial Services officer advised of her current address. With exception of medications prescribed by licensed physician for her, not to consume alcohol or controlled substances.
Had Arraignment hearing on 11/15. 11/20/18 Posted bond, released from jail.

Nice informational post. I see a request for"a list of Grand Jury witnesses’ names". Is that info allowed to be given out? I thought the Grand Jury was secret.

Duds, I don’t know it for a fact. But I can assume that if it was picked up on WS, by some pretty intelligent bright people LE WOULD HAVE NOTICED IT AS WELL.

I’m embarrassed at the times I miss things such as this tattoo, but this is what makes this site so inspiring. Those of us who miss things are in awe of the posters who pick up my shortcomings and catch detail.

Having the absolute privilege of sharing opinions and knowledge is what makes WS a great place to learn. As in the matter of GW3, I had no idea that the scorpions abdominal features meant anything. It was not a remarkable piece of tattoo art, and while I thought it tasteless I also failed to realize the potential importance. The timing and the relationship between the abdominal design could very well be of importance. I learned a lot about something I didn’t know.

I expected to have scorpions here in the desert. And when I first moved I learned as much as possible about them. One fact I learned is that they do NOT have a tail. It looks like a tail but it’s actually the abdomen. The next one I found drowned in a watering pail became my learning project. I very carefully made darn sure it was dead and I used thick leather welding gloves to pin it on a piece of foam. Yup. The part that looks like a tail is part of their digestive system. I learned a bunch that day. First most of them are tiny. Second it’s diffucult to handle small critters with welding gloves. Third, all the virulent fear I had with them kind of went away. I have a high regard for them, but I no longer panic when I very occasionally come across one. It’s my way of learning. And the posters who caught the scorpion tat art are brilliant.

I frequently post, and have for years, that if I post here it’s my opinion. I miss it at times, but it’s well known. I’ll try to do better.

I wrote this as my opinion and as a respectful explanation.

How does one differentiate between what you post as opinion and what you post as fact? Is everything opinion? When you state that the Wagners moved to Alaska and was going to a church with a minister affiliated with a militia, that was opinion?

CHARLIE your response is my vote for the BEST POST of the week...and it is only Monday kiddo! (I have always been horribly afraid of scorpions after watching an old black & white movie called THEM! I was very young and devastated when James Whitmore, the local police officer, was attacked by a giant scorpion. Life eventually comes full circle and 3 decades later, I got to be in a movie with him. A consummate and professional actor and I the giddy little kid thrilled to see him.)
Back to my point...you asked what glaring mistakes the W4's made? When people watch crime shows, Dateline, Forensic Files, The First 48, etc.... they are watching reenactments of things a director "wants you to see and know." It is a canned format...Set up, conflict, climax, and denouement. The denouement (ie the wrap up conclusion) is: 1) always criminals make mistakes, 2) Detectives can be relentless and 3) science is always the silent witness. Their biggest mistake was beginning with the false premise of being "superior planners" who could cover up their crime. They were murderous "idjits"... it doesn't take much thinking to pull a trigger and kill people as they sleep. Humph...even someone with a 7th grade education could do that! Huh? IMO They should have stuck with raising pigs.
