In the article Columbus Dispatch, Mike, AG, states "We believe the law says they don't have to be released". The operative word being BELIEVE, as if LE can interpret that law to read however they want to read depending on the situation they are dealing with.
I was visiting with a cop in Kansas one time, asking him why one person could be pulled over and arrested for no driver's license, and another person could be pulled over for no driver's license and no insurance and given tickets. He told me the new law said that was at the discretion of the officer. I think that type of law is total BS! The law shouldn't allow for the officer to make the decision. That's discrimination in my book!
The problem with Mike D's statement is the fact it does not say anything about LE's "discretion", although it appears they are trying to convince us the law says that.

Since more than 1 media outlet is planning to sue for those reports, time will tell whether courts will back up LE. However, I'd think that would be a rather lengthy process and eventually this info will be released anyway? So either way, everyone will probably be waiting just as long. I don't know, but I'd think that records couldn't be sealed off without a court order? In my opinion, bringing justice to 8 victims is way more important than anyone, even media, knowing the details of those reports.

I think I was the one who used the word "sue", but when I looked at the article again I only found the term "requested". But I'm thinking suing is the logical consequence to a wrongfully denied request?

I am pretty sure one of the first reporters who had mentioned asking for the autopsy reports employers did mention suing. Will go back and look...

An article from the local news 7/26

Coroner will not release Rhoden family autopsy information
http://www.wsaz.com/content/news/Co...den-family-autopsy-information-388283322.html

"Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine says he believes the killings were drug related."

I've always been under the impression that LE could withhold a report until the investigation was complete (In order not to compromise a case). I suppose a judge could be convinced that the report's release would not harm a case, esp. If portions were redacted. The stunning detail, however, is the one Adt1984 drew attention to.

Isn't that because of the misconseption that Bugsy Malone was shot in the eye? He was actually shot from the side, but the bullet made his eye pop out of it's socket. Either way, that's the Italian mob, I know nothing of Mexican cartels and their "traditions". My impression is that they jump in with semi automatic weapons and shoot at anything that moves, then leave as fast as they came. Feel free to correct me, in the meantime I'll read up. :)

No, it's my personal opinion. I know they were shot multiple times in the head. Potentially more than one of them shot in the eye. That's cold, calculating, and extremely precise.

Thanks to whoever looked back and found the article regarding a lawsuit filed for autopsy releases. I had to go to the laundry mat, or wait til Sunday when they're really busy, so I got it over with!
I don't understand how Ohio statutes are written for what would seem like the entire state, yet different counties have different laws?! Makes no sense at all!

KR was growing marijuana in Rarden, a small place where nearly everybody know each other:

1) Is it fair to assume KR had his own network of trusted young people who would help or trade weed at his place?

2) Is it fair to assume some of the people in relation with KR were known to FR, HHG, HR and their surviving cousins?

3) Is it possible that the perp had a trade relationship with KR while having a more personal relationship with another Rhoden?

According to his daughter, KR's gun is missing. I can think of 3 scenario regarding that gun:

1) KR killed himself and someone else covered up.

2) The perp came in with his own gun, disarmed KR, killed him and took away KR's gun

3) The perp first came to KR, took his gun, killed him and went on to kill the others with it

LE would be able to discard these scenarios based on time of death and ballistics

I think Kendra may be assuming Kenny's gun is gone because he was shot in bed, and believes he kept his gun by his bed. I think he might not have heard someone come in until it was too late to try and grab his gun. But then with Brownie being that creates more questions and more "what ifs". All of your scenarios are plausible, jk204, however, if we don't get some answers or at least some hints as to what is going on with this case, I'm going to go bananas! And then this baloney with the autopsy reports is really crazy! I did read where AG Mike stated he believes this is drug related. That is the first substantial thing we've been told since the beginning of May. It's about time they said something other than we can't release that info.

I can't help but wonder about him saying that! I mean, I wonder if he "really" thinks that or if that's what they want us to believe.

I don't think it's working properly. It doesn't for me all the time. I am sure I click it too. Have had to cancel out, and re-click, more than once, to get it to work. Sometimes I don't catch it though til I've clicked post.

Thanks. I was wondering if there was an issue.
