No worries sometimes these threads flip from one topic to another.

It seems so odd that he would try to evade detection with license plate changes and leaving his phone behind but also somehow threaten Monique or upset her enough that she left the game early. Why bother with license plates, wait nearly a decade, or higher a high profile attorney when there's a trail of threats and stalking? He must have known he would be named and caught. It's so illogical.

I just looked it up online. Those tickets were going for an average of $1800 to $2500 and higher. Plus hotel, food, etc. Prices after the Mich game win skyrocketed.
I know it is a lot of money. But I think most people do not understand the tremendous fan base of Buckeye fans in Columbus. People will save all year to get tickets if need be. And when the team is doing really well, the price of tickets skyrockets.

The fans are everywhere in the city. If people are not attending a game, they are having a tailgate party, or watching it on TV. There are sites all over town where people congregate to watch the game. Even parking lots with Jumbotrons.

People all over are always wearing OSU football logo attire. The stores have all kinds of special foods prepared. Red and gray chips, cupcakes, cookies. Pizzas, etc.

People's houses are decorated in red and gray. Christmas decor is red and gray.

I could go on and on but you get the drift. So paying this kind of money for a championship game is reasonable and to be expected.

I think it is obvious now that MM was stalking MT around the OSU football schedule. The Dec 6 break in was on a big game day. The night of the murder was the one night during the holiday season when people would be at home getting ready for a big game the next day and having an early night.

His actions screams prior calculation and design in his planning of committing premeditated murder.
Absolutely. He planned this double murder ahead of time in great detail. He actually thought he would get away with it.

Perhaps he thought he could talk his way out of everything. Narcissists believe they are the smartest ones in the room. And they are good at covering their tracks.

He thought the license plate and phone tricks would give him an alibi. And he could deny he sent any texts to her. And accuse her of slander etc. Pretend he is the victim. Psychopaths usually accuse everyone else of the crimes they themselves commit.

There's a gate. You can see the hinges.

ETA - I've seen a better pic of that gate and hinges but it's from an unapproved site so this'll have to be JMO that those are hinges.
I agree and don't think I've ever seen a backyard fence without a gate.
