I didn’t see a video of Wednesday’s court proceedings and I suppose it’s because Adams appeared by video at the jail where he is being held. If Justin’s arraignment had taken place at the Court building, his family members would have had an opportunity to attend the proceeding and given him moral support but because LE had a deadline to meet, Justin’s family members were denied this opportunity.
Psych evaluations or a competency evaluation of a defendant are typically ordered by the Courts to determine if the accused is competent to stand trial. An insanity defense will also usually require the defendant to undergo a psychological evaluation. The media report didn't say Justin entered a plea on Wednesday at the arraignment.
The presiding Judge in a murder case often appoint a forensic psychiatrist to explore the personality and behavior of the spouse accused of murder and be asked to give an opinion on whether the partner is violent and capable of murder.
Why was Justin denied bail? I doubt he is a flight risk or a danger to himself or his child. His lawyer Irven Box said he has seen no evidence linking his client to the crime before Justin was formally charged on Monday. Justin and his mother went and searched for Jaymie in the area where Jaymie’s van was parked and her body was found within a 5 mile radius. LE think after Jaymie was murdered, her body was moved to the outskirts of the City. If Jaymie wasn’t planning to entertain her client(s) at a house in the vicinity, she wouldn’t have parked at this particular restaurant. I think Jaymie left her van to attend a house party closeby and she took her cell phone with her which is why her and Justin’s cell phones pinged off the same tower on Saturday. I don’t think Jaymie left this area after she arrived at the McDs. LE might have charged Justin with the crime simply because he and his mother searched the area where bodies are often dumped which turned out to be where Jaymie’s body was later found.
Justin did turn his personal computer over to LE when his house was searched which proves he had one and bolsters his mother's claim that Justin was logged on to his computer after his wife left and his kids were in bed on Friday evening. Without access to a vehicle and 3 child to tend to, and with no evidence of domestic violence in the home, I believe Justin is innocent until the prosecution prove he is guilty.
