GUYMON, Okla. (KAKE) – Two of the five defendants accused in the murder of two Kansas women last year have pleaded not guilty.
Tad Collum and Cole Twombly appeared in Texas County, Oklahoma, court on Wednesday, where they pleaded not guilty in the murders of 39-year-old
Jilian Kelley and 27-year-old
Veronica Butler in April of 2024.
Collum entered a not guilty plea and a jury trial has been set for
June 1, 2026, at 9 a.m.
Twombly, who also entered a not guilty plea, has been scheduled for jury trial on
October 19, 2026, at 9 a.m.
