Really - right in front and stood up like that? Far more likely she'd have sheltered behind the wall and as far from the door as possible.

#208 Why was she still standing in front of the door if she knew he had a gun?

Why 2 versions of this?

Btw: Which wall in the toilet? I thought they were both too narrow, to the left and the right of the door?

One of the gifted EXPERTS' expertise, that she stood there. Why? Don't know.

.....for those following the discussion and who are not aware of the WC dimension in which pistorius murdered Reeva...... according to my calculation the WC measures 1495 x 1250 mm, which is small, part of this would of been taken up with the toilet itself 600 x 400 mm, the toilet width being 400 mm, this dimension is to be reduced from the 1250 mm leaving a space either side of the toilet of 425 mm.........

Do you think four shots into that cubicle meant inevitable death for someone inside, wherever they stood? The reason I ask is because I don't.

ETA that last sentence isn't meant to sound rude- I was trying to state my own thoughts and justify the question

...yes ....a speculation from GR Turner............without speculation it's difficult to form theories.............

.........well as you've often said "all is possible" but when you consider how the bullets are going to bounce around off the walls i think surviving an attack such as this is highly unlikely and considering Pistorius's previous knowledge of guns proves without doubt the intention to kill..........

42cm is plenty of room ...

....what personal remark ? How can i possibly mention your name without mentioning your name ........it was in direct relation to your previous post.....it wasn't an attack it was in reference .....

BIB

Which is what she would have done if she suspected it really was an intruder. By standing directly behind the door it is far more likely she knew it was OP and was possibly talking to him and trying to calm him down, not even knowing he had a gun with him and certainly not suspecting, even if he had, that he would use it.

It's quite plain what it was and it is one of many such similar remarks you have been making.

Well three out of four hit her, including when she was in two different positions (standing up and slumped down). The ricochet effect and the type of ammo he chose to load his gun with meant that all three that hit were potentially deadly in and of themselves. Maybe if she had stood on the toilet she may have escaped the worst of the impacts but `my theory` is that she never thought he would actually shoot her and was standing up near the door as she thought she could talk him down.

I'm NOT Collin, may I answer? Yes, I think, the ending of the shooting was clear. Reeva could not escape neither the direct bullets nor the ricochets, I think. The ominous intruder had been dead also. How many bullets were needed OP could hear: the screaming faded ..... silence ..... job done.

Would you like to take your chances standing in that amount of space while someone pumps four bullets into it?

(btw I added to my earlier post to say I didn't mean for my 'I don't' comment to sound rude)

So you don't think he even had to see her or aim at a noise to be sure of killing whoever was in ther

No but the poster wasn't asking that.

....i can quite safely say in complete and total confidence that anyone and i mean anyone firing into a cubicle of that size was intending to kill ..............

Since everyone seems to be answering for everyone else I will put in my two bob`s worth. If he did see her, then it is definitely murder eh. If he didn`t see her he still managed to hit her with three out of four bullets which, had she been an intruder and standing in the same position the end result would have essentially been the same. For all his talk of not meaning to shoot anyone, he was fully aware of what his gun was loaded with and the capabilities of that type of ammo.

No but the poster wasn't asking that.

He was saying how much room there was in the cubicle (less the space occupied by the toilet) and you said it was plenty of room. If I misunderstood you perhaps you can explain what you meant exactly by `42cm is plenty of room`.
