Kada graduated from Penn State in 2023, where she studied communications. She also recently began participating in pageants. ‘She broke into it this past summer. It’s called Miss USA,’ Kevin said. ‘That was actually her first time participating in a pageant. She said she loved the experience and wanted to do it again.’

Kevin [Scott] said Kada’s mother called her job and learned that she left early, around 10:30 p.m. ‘That was the last time someone saw her,’ he said. ‘And then she disappeared.’

‘She had an iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch in her bag, but they were not inside the vehicle. Whatever happened, she took her belongings with her.’

Also from this report:
Kevin said his daughter worked the overnight shift on Oct. 4. “Prior to work, I believe she may have gone to dinner with friends — something of that nature,” he said. “She came back home around 9:45 p.m., asked to borrow her mother’s car, and left for her 10 p.m. shift, which was set to end at 6 a.m.”
So, she was out with friends, came home and borrowed her mother’s car to get to her 10:00 pm shift on time.
Who were the friends she was out with? Were there both male and female friends in this group?Did someone drop her at her house? Did she always use her mother’s car to get to work? Or was it only because she was running late?
Often, female shift workers will carry an oversize purse or small tote to carry things into work such as snacks, kindle, iPad etc. Dad said she had her iPhone, watch, and iPad in her bag. She probably had the iPhone and watch on her person unless she had washed up/changed clothes before leaving for work. Maybe, because she was running late she just threw everything into the bag and left. The bag must also have had her wallet and ID in it.
When she got to her job, she parked in the employee parking lot. She likely had the watch on and her keys and phone in her hand. Perhaps she left her bag in the car intending to retrieve it during her shift. She was a new employee and wanted to make sure she checked in on time.
After settling in, getting her evening assignment, and any type of instructions she would need for the shift, she may have decided to run out to the car and grab her bag real quick.
We have discussed possible suspects - an ex, a coworker, her anonymous caller, random attacker.
I wonder if there have been any reports of car break ins or prowlers in the neighborhood in recent weeks. The problem with that scenario is that a random attacker who was breaking into cars and spotted her going to her vehicle in the dark parking lot would not be likely to take her from the scene. He would have grabbed her bag and ran or would have carjacked her and taken the vehicle.
