oh Gawd though, the retrospect on this is so tragic.
I will admit though as another poster pointed out the context is missing so we are left to draw conclusions based on, frankly not a lot. I'm broken over this girl. Ripe for prosperity in the bloom of her life.

this rings true for me. it strikes me as sexual, but also possibly like they were misunderstanding each other in some respect. (and i don't just mean the obvious point that he'd apparently already planned to murder her, and yet it's safe to say she did not plan to be murdered.) i mean possibly just about what each other were saying.

also, his "better be up for [it]" sounds like she said changed her mind and said no to something in the past and it frustrated him. and we can speculate that happened again, and the murder was his reaction. but then, how does the apparent premeditation fit with that?

i entertained the idea that the original purpose of stealing the car was to impress her, and then the rest of the theory would fit. but frankly, it was a 2008, which i'm guessing has seen better days. not the car i'd steal to impress a girl.
you cannot always steal an impressive car, IMO- you need to take what is available and avoid cameras, alarms, etc. esp if you are just reacting to opportunities. : (

As always, keep in mind that the text exchange with "kidnap me again" didn't necessarily take place on October 4. It is possible she had a couple of nice outings with Keon King, then she decided he wasn't for her and that is when he started harassing her. Or maybe someone, whoever was "harrassing" her, was trying to tell her how bad King was or not to leave or a multitude of other things. (I can't believe you are calling me about this).

I am trying to find some way I might get into a car if I had just talked to the someone in the car and told them "I can't believe you are calling me about this". I'm having a hard time with it.

maybe he did not want her to go on dates or see her friends or or or....we'll need to know how she met him and how long she knew him if her phone records show that. maybe she broke away from him or maybe he had charmed her before. he had bail $ so maybe he bought her something and thought she was his. IMO.

I think if anything she may have thought of it as playful banter.
That's what I'm thinking right now (unless we learn differently). I'm thinking of it sort of like, "Save me!" when you don't really mean you want/need saving, but just are joking around about wishing you could leave a situation (like boring work shift, family gathering, etc.).

And he took the opportunity to prey on her.

I remember the “harassment” being described very early on in the search for Kada. After seeing the texts I wonder if this was actually just what police were willing to speak to at the time regarding the co-worker’s interpretation of the moment when King called, and Kada got upset “you’re seriously calling about this?” JMO

I just want to add that I still don’t blame Kada at all even if she did want to dip out of work, knew the car had been stolen, had any type of history with him, or whatever else that may not make her a perfect person or model employee for lack of better words.

She didn’t deserve any of what happened to her.

I know we’re all trying to hypothesize based on a few texts and what little info we have. It’s impossible to do. I just think it’s important to stay mindful of how we talk about it, because sometimes these theories can come off in a way that sounds like she isn’t deserving of what happened to her because she was a perfect person, and not focus on the fact that she just didn’t deserve it at all point blank period.

Sorry, just wanted to add that in.
