I just have to say that it is very interesting that someone on house arrest was not there when she went missing in the wee hours of the morning.

I wonder if BF works, and possibly works in a band or something like that, where he would be out at night and into the AM?

that's the thing- how close was the neighbor that saw her? Next door, next buiding, across the street? Did they see lights go on in the apt? Did they hear her clomping up stairs? Did they see her close enough to see detail, or did they see a figure from a distance, that they assumed was Kortne heading into her apt. It IS dark that time of morning...
Did they see HER come home in her car, at that time? Did she drive herself that night or get dropped off? If her dog had been inside all evening, did any one see her walk the dog, after she allegedly got home?

when did this neighbor go to bed, or to work or whatever after supposedly seeing Kortne come home?

hello to our guests-if she is your friend, I hope she can be found soon

I also live in the same county as Kortne and have to agree that the media attention this case is given is poor as far as I have seen. My hubby did see a flyer in a local pizza shop but otherwise not seeing any and live about 8-10 miles from PAlmyra. Prayers going out for KOrtne and her family, may she be found safe.

Can't they just say where the BF was? And get that out of the way??

I saw a flyer at a local pizza shop in Fredericksburg tonight but nothing on the news again this morning. I asked my husband if he had heard about Kortne and he saw nothing about it locally in the Lebanon area where he works. We were at Penn National Racetrack/ Hollywood Casino Saturday night and saw nothing there. If this is the counties reaction to a beautiful young girl being missing for over a week, I am very disappointed.

the whole whos up at 345am on a friday -- um sometimes me and i work 8-5 mon thru fri...but sometimes esp in summer im outside enjoying the weather and well just not ready to go to sleep. My ex works shift work and a 3-11 shift will leave you up at 345 - how many of you are up at 945 after getting off work at 5? And yes, the 19+ will go out at 11 and get in at 3, 4, 5 am

from what i have gathered from other more publicized cases, the family needs to shove it down the medias throat every day so they continue the coverage. That is the only way it will keep going. I pray for Kortne, she is like my own DD and I just don't see someone she knows hurting her...either its a stranger creeper type (like in mickey shunicks case) or shes ran off...either way LE needs to do more, but won't.

The family needs to scream this case to anyone and everyone who will listen!

Saturday July 28 Kortne was seen dancing with friends at the Hardware Bar in Downtown Harrisburg. Early Sunday morning a neighbor saw her. The next day her apartment door was unlocked, and her purse, keys, cell phone and her dog left inside.

She left her apt unlocked and went out to talk with a neighbor is my guess here...thinking she'd be right back. I would hope all the neighbors have been checked out.

or maybe she saw something out her window and thought, I need to go help that person

Some of the things I've heard...

On the radio last week, the brother was on and had mentioned that the police were called at 3 am. I don't know why this has been kept under wraps but it was definitely mentioned but never said again. Did the police put a stranglehold on that? I doubt that info was made up. It came from the brother.

Someone definitely went home with her that night.

There's been a rumbling that a person was at her apt sunday morning passed out and didn't remember anything going on. This is only a rumbling and not from a direct source.

The family ruled out the bf. it doesn't matter if the public knows where he was over the weekend. The family does and so do authorities. That's all that matters.

How long will the apt be blocked off for without anything "criminal" that they know of? The way everything is being handled by LE is very strange.

Rominger announced on his website Tuesday that he has undertaken the matter. According to the site, romingerlaw.com, Rominger is representing the legal interests of the family, helping them to understand the police's investigation process.

Family spokesman Matthew Scott, a relative of Stouffer's mother, Wendy, said Rominger is a friend of the family, and the family believes he has the resources to help the family uncover more information to help find Kortne.

#####

Last week, police issued a search warrant on Kortne Stouffer's apartment, which remains marked with crime scene tape.
Wendy Stouffer and her ex-husband, Scott Stouffer, met with borough police Monday. Matthew Scott said there is no new information from police on the case.

"We're confident the police are doing everything they can to find Kortne," he added.

In the meantime, the family has increased the reward to $22,500 for information leading to Kortne and her return, Scott said. Family, friends and businesses have contributed to the reward fund. In addition, the family is organizing local search parties in conjunction with local authorities.
