IMO, it (seems like it) has to be one of two people...TS or the overnight guy. Nothing else makes sense. If anyone had followed her home, they would have seen police there and taken off, and probably not come back. Certainly they would not be expecting her to come back outside in the middle of the night, ripe for kidnapping.

The only thing is her car-when did it reappear and how?

If someone else had called her at that time, or she had called someone else-would LE be so focused on the "boys"? I am thinking she did not make or receive any other calls that late. Also her parents did not indicate that there are any other persons who might be suspects and they had her phone first.

TS makes sense only because he did not respond to LE the 2nd time, or come out looking for them if they did not knock. Where was he?

Attn Locals: 8/29 at the Winners Circle Saloon in Grantville there will be a benefit concert to raise money and awareness for Kortne. Band starts at 8 p.m. and several country artists, including Montgomery Gentry and Daryl Worley have donated items to help out. Very cool stuff.

Thanks for the heads up!

Are you talking about KS's place!
If you are wouldnt you think her dogs would bark if someone was at the door?

Maybe, maybe not. It's super quiet up there on that third floor.

Howdy everyone.

I went back to re-read this because I find it has some interesting points.

http://www.ldnews.com/latestnews/ci_21275447

A few times it's stated that the police did knock the 2nd time. Assuming that this is the case - I'm still baffled as to why TS wouldn 't answer the door. Specifically because he called them.

If in fact, LE didn't knock the 2nd time, they have a lot of explaining to do.

IMO - we have 2 possible suspects. I firmly beleive she didn't run away. She didn't walk outside and get kidnapped. Her boyfriend was in jail and not involved.

If she owed money, most likely someone wouldn't expect to randomly see her in the middle of the night outside of her apartment. If they followed her that night, they would know she wasn't alone. Rules it out for me. MOO

So if we have 2 possibilities here which I myself go back and forth on every 2.5 seconds, I'm hoping LE has their finger pointed and is securing all evidence to lock that 🤬🤬🤬 up.

Poor Kortne's family.

FYI - I'm in a tropical storm and if I lose power, I'm going to go nuts. I am addicted to this site!

We are having an earthquake swarm in California! Be safe!

I am betting that TS was the one who was really sound asleep when LE happened by again, not CP. He was probably trying to sleep when he heard the banging and stomping. . .and actually fell asleep after he placed the calls and it stopped.

if they were on the third floor would they have heard the dogs responding to a knocker?

I don't know why he lied if he lied. As far as I know he has one short sentence that he spoke to the media to his credit. Lying does not mean you killed. Why did the parents lie repeatedly to the media? Or withhold facts from them? <modsnip>

Lying with no apparent reason and several reasons not to lie is suspect to a great percentage of the population.

How many words must the lie contain to be significant?

<modsnip>.

KS's family is off limits as are all victims families.

The fact remains that Kortne Stouffer disappeared following a confrontation with TS who then lied about it, when there were witnesses to the truth, at least one of which was a police officer.

You may choose to view that as innocent bumbling. I choose to view it as suspect behavior and will continue to view it in that light until such time as TS has been cleared by LE.

or what do people do when they're all revved up and can't sleep? they want to get out right? maybe get some air? take a walk? grab a smoke? decompress?

More than likely an adult would do this... a revved up petulant child maybe not so in check of her emotions.

That is very possible. Would be interesting to know if LE noted hearing dogs barking when they knocked.

I was thinking about how Kortnes car got back to her house .. Is it possible that she dropped off her car at the "gas station" to have an alleged flat tire fixed .. and the mechanic dropped the car off on his way to somewhere else? My hubby is a mechanic and drops peoples car off for them all the time. To me that would account for why the keys were still in the car.

Stouffer said he has spoken with everyone involved in the early morning disturbance. He said he’s also learned of potentially dangerous circumstances beyond his daughter’s immediate neighborhood.

I wish he would have been more specific. Does anyone know what he is talking about?
Would that be the reason for such a small search area?

I just do not understand why they need a lawyer!

I don't have a problem with him "lying" (or the family for that matter) to the media whatsoever. The main thing is that he was honest with LE. Perhaps he just wanted the media off his back.

Maybe the police slipped everyone a sleeping tablet the first time...honestly, too weird everyone was sound asleep.

I agree that there are only 2 suspects here.

It's gotta be the sleepy-time tea.

From what I read, no one has ever claimed the dogs were barking before, during and after the events of that night-early morning.

Someone recently posted on thread 2 that no one was kicked out of the Hardware Bar that night, per the Bar's management.

This whole thing is one huge conflicting story, but there has to be truth in there somewhere.
