808 is TS, entire half of duplex
810 downstairs (1st Floor and basement) is couple
810 upstairs (2nd and 3rd Floors) is Kortne

Thanks!! That's what I thought.

So there is another brick duplex beside the 808/810, separated by grass/hedges.

How many apartments there, not that it really matters...except there are more neighbors to possibly call LE or to have confrontations with...

could be. but remember he just called the police. would it makes sense to murder someone when the police are basically on the way over? and wouldn't the downstairs couple, who have been giving interviews to the media, report they heard a second confrontation.

It doesn't make sense unless he didn't expect her to get physical again and he hurt her accidentally. They could have both been outside together and gotten into it. I am not sure what the neighbors would have heard at that point.

Red flags because he lied and didn't answer his door..No follow up after 4:12 is just plain weird since he had been very persistent with phone calls to police and the landlord.

Red flags with CP because he was with her in that apartment and could have become violent ( his history could support that, perhaps) violence against women when he drank. JMO though.

notice how this sentence is written.

Police said they knocked on both doors but made no contact with Kortne or Saksek, according to Matthew Scott, a Stouffer family friend.

should it not be more accurate to say this:

Matthew Scott, a Stouffer family friend, told us that Police told him they knocked on both doors but made no contact with KS or TS.

Why would they tell Matthew Scott this and nobody else?

Hi Evergreen -

Matthew Scott is the Stouffer family's spokesperson. Not sure if you were answered already.

It's a single family residence, like 808.

do we have a front picture of the 2 duplexes?

so in Kortne's duplex - what #
is KS's apartment (upstairs)
is TS's half of duplex (besides KS)
is the middle age couple (which is below KS)

are there 3 or 4 apts in the other side duplex???

I don't have the whole building.

On the left is 808, inhabited by TS
On the right is 810, inhabited by a couple on the first floor and Kortne Stouffer on the second and third floors.

I may still have a pic of the back..

Sorry I don't have more inclusive pics

ETA-I didn't take photos of neighboring buildings. They were not part of the case to the best of my knowledge.

Does TS have the creepy trailer or does the couple own that? Just curious.

Does anyone else find in odd that there have been no press conferences or press releases from LE? Is that standard for the area?

I can look it up but I'm sure one of you know right off the bat...did LE or Kortne's dad arrange for the only small search that was completed?

Seems odd to me, but I'm not from the area.

Annie,

Can you provide link with second officer's name and "what report"??. I don't recall that post but then again....I do get confused!! LOL

TIA

score

Yes, it appeared in the LDLNews on 8/9/2012, article "Palmyra Police Last to See Stouffer," and took the info directly from the EMA records.

First one on the scene was Patrolman Timothy Lengle, second responding officer was Lt. James Hunt.

Sorry, I can't link -I am on my iPad.

this part of the story seems weird to me. why would neighbors be congregating downstairs at 3a? the people who lived there were old. and if they were in the apt why did they come out and get into a physical confrontation with KS and friend?

"Later, she met friends and spent the evening at Harrisburg night spots.

Early Sunday morning, when she and a male friend returned to her apartment, they saw several neighbors in the first-floor apartment. Kortne vented her anger at them, her father said."
Old?? Puh-leeze, old folks stay up late, too! Sounds like there was a small gathering at the old neighbors when CP and KS came home. My guess is that TS was joining the old folks for warm milk and cookies nightcap, as he was part of the confrontation. Alternatively, they could have been drinking Sleepy-Time tea that knocked them out by the time Lt. Hunt showed up for the second visit.

Our assumption was that the Creepy Camper belonged to 808 ImageUploadedByTapatalk1346013449.376172.jpg
It's snugged up against NAPA

Seems odd to me.

More likely to give interviews or issue statements than hold a presser.

But we're not getting any of the above.

Just passed by there a short while ago and the crime scene tape is still up....just in case anyone is wondering.

Now....I do have a question about that. Why would they even bother to put up crime scene tape to begin with? I understand they are saying is suspicious but wouldn't you think they would have found SOMETHING in there to warrant it as suspicious?? Do they normally put up crime scene tape and impound vehicles for missing people? I didn't think they did but then again I've never been this close to one (as in the same town). Just curious what the normal protocol is on that whole thing.

  • #134
I'm not quite sure why the crime scene tape is still up and the car's still impounded.

Unless LE is building a case, but one would think they'd have retrieved every possible thing in the past couple of weeks.

Seems odd to me. I'm in Hershey.

Lt. Hunt is the investigating officer. He may or may not have been the responding officer. I don't think the name of the responding officer for the second call has been released yet.

I don't know if you examine all of the troubled people KS had in her life, that might be the first path I would go down. She lived with a guy who violated his probation. The guy who slept over at her house had serious brushes with the law and pending charges. She apparently had numerous confrontations that night, thrown out of a bar. And her father hinted that she had anger management issues and was hanging out with the wrong crowd. He said she owed another guy money. She had two separate people call the cops on her that night. Reports are she physically assaulted TS and her friend threatened nice downstairs couple. It's weird to me that the the guy who apparently just wanted to have some peace and safety in his life is the first person some would suspect. Seems to me he was trying solve this horrific problem of the awful couple next door.

the police haven't said that they knocked on his door. that came from a family friend. And yeah given how volatile and random KS seems to be anything could have happened that night. And we don't really know TS history with calling police. We do know he made one call that night. the police have not officially said whether they knocked on his door or not.

I can't help but wonder ... It's obvious Kortne was wound tight that entire day and into the morning, since the arrest of her boyfriend. If we can believe the stories of her confronting and attacking other people off and on throughout the whole ordeal, then I have to wonder, when it was all said and done and she was left alone in her apartment with her friend, did she then turn on him since he was the only one left to turn her rage on? By all accounts of this guy, I don't think he would take too kindly to being treated that way by a woman.

or what do people do when they're all revved up and can't sleep? they want to get out right? maybe get some air? take a walk? grab a smoke? decompress?

Early Sunday morning, when she and a male friend returned to her apartment, they saw several neighbors in the first-floor apartment. Kortne vented her anger at them, her father said.

In an interview this week, JR and RS, who live in the apartment below Kortne’s, said they saw Kortne kick and swing at TS, who lives in the other half of the duplex.

JR, 49, and RS, 57,

http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2012/08/kortne_stouffer_disappeared_am.html

If 49 and 57 are old, I better be getting ready for bed.

I guess when everybody in the whole duplex goes to bed; they fall into a trance and hear nothing more (irregardless of their age).

Everybody awake from 3 til 345 am but sound asleep at 430?

Did you fall right to sleep also Palmyradad when you lived there? Is there something in the water?
