It might be interesting to note that this young woman is around Kortnes age .. she also has drug related charges in Berks, Lebanon and Dauphin counties .. all counties with "ties" to Kortnes case .. I have made one "distant link" on Facebook between Kortne and Alishia .. they had at least 1 mutual acquaintance in common.

Pennlive states that State Police are investigating .. hopefully this may lead to some answers in Kortnes case as well.

It really must be a small world there, I found a few connections between Kortne, Alishia and Ashley Kline, not surprisingly linked through Ms. Ballester.

The link that I found has nothing to do with AB. Kortne has a close friend that is "connected" to Alishia ..

Some of these kids I'm sure are connected thru the "party scene" .. I'm not saying Alishia and Kortne were friends or even knew each other for that matter, and I do realize that people know people who know people and are connected thru Facebook that way .. I was merely looking at both cases to see if there was any connection between them as they are close in location and both involve beautiful, young women close in age.

Just wondering if they have a "dealer" in common. I highly doubt dealers are "Facebook friends" with their "clients" .. but maybe .. I'm sure crazier things have happened.

The older man they are "looking for" in Alishias case kind of shines a new kind of light on her case however.

Happy Birthday Kortne! You are not forgotten!

Anything new?

Seems to have gone quiet again.

Driving on I-83 in Harrisburg en route to Gettysburg behind a Kia Sportage with a Kortne missing sticker on the back. Makes my heart happy to see it. :)

I just had a friend driving through that area on those roads.

While I think it is unlikely, what are the possibilities she left voluntarily?

I agree it is possible J.J. I am going to do the same thing in Palmyra that I will be doing in Lewisburg...putting boots on the ground and walking around a bit. I find it puts things in perspective for me.

I live between Harrisburg and Palmyra; every day I see a Find Kourtne sign driving to and from work. It's a sobering reminder but I'm always happy to see her face. I'm a few years younger than Kourtne and I feel like we could have been friends if our paths had ever crossed, and they may well have.

Where are you Kortne?

I heard my first Kourtne rumor out in the wild, from a SO of a close relative who lived a few doors down from Kourtne when she disappeared. This woman is well-educated and quite rational IME so it was unsettling to hear that she firmly believes one of the more out-there rumors! At the same time it worries me that she could be right.

Not really trying to make a point, but I've been dying to say something about it and I know y'all would understand.

Linking into other pictures on the Pennlive website, I was able to see that the State Police were using a VideoRay ROV. A submarine robot that has a camera and side scan sonar. This is exactly what I would have used to search the lake. They probably used the side scan to look for objects, then went in closer with the ROV to verify the objects. This is a far better method than using only the side scan from a boat. I cannot speak to the time the PSP spent on the lake, but I can confirm they used the correct equipment.

Trying to dispel any question of technique.

Not counting the large number of containment ponds...

Ebenezer lake borders at least two roads and would make for a quick dump of a body.

Stovers Dam park is reasonably close.

The (unnamed) lake at Sand Hill / Fortnas Dam has a lot of trails all around it and would make a good clandestine dumping spot, and not likely to be searched.

It also occurred to me that this is in close proximity to Ft Indiantown Gap PA National Guard Base.

I am very familiar with that area as my uncle was a Colonel at the "Gap" back in the 60's (I spent many summers there) and I am up there every January running the security detail for a public event.

There is a lot of forested area. Anyone with an ATV could move a body where it would not be found for years...if ever.

Where are you Kortne?

Just stopping by to say that I noticed a Kortne flier at my new fav BBQ joint, Shakedown BBQ...it is about 20 min from Hershey so maybe 30 min from palmyra.

There are a lot of places in Central PA where bodies could be hidden, for generations. :)

A lot of people outside of the state assume it it basically suburbs. The Central and western parts are largely Appalachian mountains and as backwoods as anything you'd find in Kentucky.

How true.

I work from the proven theory that 90% of the time, the actor does not want to schlep a body for miles into the woods or dig a deep hole, and that when they do, they use the path of least resistance such as a Jeep trail, fire trail, logging road etc so as not to fight through brush and pickers.

That works for me.

I do have a map, in another case, that follows that premise.
