Paperwork Details Elisa Baker’s Involvement In Investigation

  • #401
In going back over the timeline posted on WSOC I see that:

Afternoon of Oct. 20: A team of investigators begins searching a landfill in Lenoir in connection with Zahra’s disappearance. In a news conference, Chief Adkins would say only that searchers are looking for a “piece of evidence.”

Do you think it's odd then that EB began cooperating on October 22?

You aren't suppose to notice the discrepancies in the defense motion ?

Keep looking, you'll find some more - good catch.

5. The only credible evidence released to the public by law enforcement related to this case is evidence that was collected after Elisa Baker told law enforcement where to look and what to look for. Law Enforcement has been able to locate evidence at landfills, the Baker home and locations throughout Caldwell County and Catawba County only because of Elisa Baker's cooperation and disclosures.
This is tricky; Ms. Dubs is trying to imply to the public that LE wouldn't have jack without Elisa. In fact, I believe that LE knew from day one that they were probably investigating a homicide; that means they were collecting credible evidence even if the public didn't know it.

As far the the evidence collected by the defense team; isn't that tampering?
Do you think Ms. Dubs is trying to arrange that all evidence against her client be thrown out?

Number 8 states she is a prior record level 1 for a class H felony and the maximum sentence she would receive is 6 - 8 months. Wellllllll, Ms. Dubbs, add all the bigamy charges, which are felony by the way, and you have a whole 'nother ball game. Just saying.....

I agree she kept something that shows AB's involvement but if it's clothing his lawyers could just argue that SHE wore them.
:waitasec:
Not only that, but she could have touched them with something bloody to create the appearance.

Thanks for the link lauriej. At this point I'm not surprised she is spending so much time there, she needs to make a deal and fast. Elisa Baker has few options but cooperating if she wants the death penalty off the table. This woman has lived in NC most of her life and she knows what is coming.

Elisa Baker, Zahra Baker’s stepmother, spent several hours Friday at the Hickory Police Department.

"Zahra’s father, Adam Baker, appeared in court Friday on charges unrelated to his daughter’s disappearance or death.

A small, angry crowd greeted Baker as he walked into the Catawba County court house, shouting at him about the Zahra case. Baker, who was appointed an attorney to represent him on charges of writing worthless checks, said nothing as he made his way inside. His mother was at his side."

Well hopefully whatever she told them will get something moving with this mess.

Something has to break here soon. This is unreal.

She definitely has that "reptilian" look to her eyes... They look cold and calculating - trying to hide the evil within... Yet those eyes tell the story... She gives me the willies!

No way in He77 should her bond be reduced - not even one penny...this woman and her lawyer has a lot of nerve! :furious:

Also there was a post earlier about what a manipulator EB was, I suspect AB can manipulate too. Because of his public persona I think his is more hidden but I suspect he had to manipulate if KB is as strong a person as I suspect. After all look how he's convinced her of his innocence.

I love my children but I'm not blind or in denial! I will be there for them but they will pay the consequences.

There was a quote from ED on one of these threads where ED was describing her life with AB during their marriage. I believe one of the words she used was "manipulated". I can't remember which threat that was but I'll look.

Hey, I love reptiles! Stop insulting them ;)

My sister's ex was a man who reminds me of a personality type that may fit Adam. Is Adam a big dude? In any case, the ex was a big dude, stayed quiet most of the time, said ma'am and sir. He took a lot of smack talk from my sister (a fiery sort) and just sat there quietly. He practically walked on his knees around his mama.

Oh, but was that man violent and nasty! I heard them arguing one night when they thought the parking lot was empty. Turns out, the only person he'd never do that to was his mother.

He just had a really long fuse and was quiet most of the time. Doesn't mean he didn't snap every full moon or so!

Most people say he's sweet and polite and dates girls who are too mean. Others have had their lives literally threatened by him. No kidding. He's actually bada$$ as I've ever seen.
