More than one still shot has caught him with that Jack Nicholson look in his eyes. Very very creepy. No wonder he had no luck picking up girls. Plus his hulking size. Ugh. No way I would have gone anywhere with him. GHB was his bestfriend, IMO, otherwise he'd have NO women going ANYWHERE with him.

PS- What was he supposed to be studying in the nanosecond he spent in 'college' in the Netherlands, anybody know? And was he there on a scholorship or were his parents paying? They couldn't have been pleased when he left school, I would imagine. Seems as though they had no control over what he did, he did as he pleased. JMO my own observation...

When was their last communication?

This may have been the very last communication from Joran to JQK and no more. I was thrilled to see this info this morning. If I could jump in the air I would. :woohoo:

It's very possible Stephany spotted these emails.

I am assuming Beth Holloway is "well off" if she had the $$ to put up to send to Joran (FBI says it was not THEIR money, so I am assuming it was Beth's) How horrible that Joran has victimized her ONCE AGAIN. Wish there was some way he could be punished not only for what he did to Natalee but what he put Beth through also. Beth and her family truly have my respect, can't even imagine what they have gone through and they continue to act with class and dignity. JMO.

The idea that Joran was framed in Aruba--ridiculous on its face. How then to explain Joran's lies about that night, his later confessions, or who actually killed Natalee? And how to explain why Joran took Stephany's money or her car? This time there is going to be forensic evidence: blood on his clthes and shoes, DNA on her clothes and body, DNA in the room and her car, the videos that show no one else entering or leaving, DNA on any weapon the killer used. Who even knew Joran was in Peru or staying at that hotel? There is evidence that he had just met Stephany and witnesses to testify to that meeting, as well as video.

The only ways to believe that Joran was "framed" is to believe that people with no criminal records murdered Stephany to frame him and LE in Peru would fake the forensics and coerce a false confession AND that her prominent father would either never find out about that or go along with it. OR that Joran framed himself, in both cases. While false confessions to LE are fairly common, normal people don't tell their friends and acquaintances that they've killed someone (or been present at a death) and then covered it up. I suppose a book that argues that Joran is the innocent victim of a conspiracy--involving two foreign governments and an American family bent on framing him--to destroy the life of a victimized teenage boy from Aruba will sell a few copies, but not to me or anyone who ever cared about Natalee or Stephany or other victims of remorseless predators. Just my opinion, of course.

U.S. media report a Dutch murder suspect in Peru has told police he is ready to lead authorities to the body of a missing American woman.

Peruvian officials said late Thursday that 22-year-old Joran van der Sloot has agreed to tell authorities in Aruba where to find the remains of Natalie Holloway.

Some of those rooms didn't even have bathrooms, some only had a jetted looking tub. Not sure what Jorans room had....at any rate coffee makers are not listed among the ammenities in the rooms. Jus sayin.

Ready to lead? I hope Peru doesn't fall for this and does not agree to send him to Aruba. No doubt he'd like to get out of Peru.

With regards to confessing where NH body is, here comes another lie? Didn't he say his father disposed of her body and he doesn't know where she is?

The more I learn about this killer, the more I wonder. How convenient that he was able to blame his deceased father for disposing NH body when his father is unable to speak for himself.

BBM-invisible people who came and went in the room and were not seen on the videotape, LOL. He's screwed. Nobody but perhaps his mother thinks he's innocent. JMO. And I bet she has her secret doubts as well. Can't imagine being the mother of such a monster. Wonder if she knows, can pinpoint in her own mind, when he first started exhibiting signs that he was ABBIENORMAL lol. I'm guessing he will never tell. And he lies so much, if his story is he dumped her in the sea, we will never know if thats true of not. He's a gambler and the Natalee truth is his ace in the hole. There has to be some button on Joran that can be pushed to get him to speak the truth, everyone has a button. Bet his mom knows how to get him to come clean, but if she doesn't believe he's guilty of the crime she will never ask him. jmo

Peggy G: I completely agree with you, in your thinking that JVDS planned to do this, on May 30th. I also think he was "raging" very early on, when Stephany's winnings were far more than his apparent losses. What may have started out as a robbery, evolved into a rage and disgust for her.

This is how JVDS acknowledges May 30th
My take, is that he would continue to show himself, and others - that he is in control. And he can piss on this day, as easy as not. He knows that Beth H. is still mourning the murder of her daughter, and May 30th will not pass easily for her. To me, he is saying - "this is how I celebrate it!".

There are such interesting theories about the motivation for going through those machinations with the cups/being locked out, etc.

In the video, His facial movements appear as though he is thinking - rapid fire. I am wondering if it was his intent to get another set of fingerprints, on the door handle. Perhaps in an effort to create doubt as to who entered the room. Although he definitely has some stupid missteps, he is chillingly smart when he needs to be.

Just about the time of the meeting on 5/10/10, apparently the power went out in the hotel. It is unclear to me at the moment, if the power was out when the $10,000.00 was exchanged or not. I know JQK stuck that part in and based on the fact that if the power went out, there was nothing on video, which may have left it as "not sufficient" evidence to charge him at that time.

For me, it made no sense why they didn't call in the locals to arrest Joran, but if there was no power to record it, then there is your word against my word at this point.

makes you wonder who set up what hotel to meet at? JQK or JVS ?? JVS having so much power, if you will, on the island...could've had someone throw a breaker because he had his own suspicions, especailly, after the first meeting didn't go as planned. Wouldn't surprise me.
