I've been periodically posting updated timelines in these threads. Unfortunately it takes some work to format it to work for this site, so I don't include the sources here. The link in my sig is to the last one that I posted. It won't include the newest info or sources though.

If anyone wants to help me with it, that would be awesome. It's hard to keep track of everything and fact check everything on my own.

I found your last time line in the closed thread, and alerted to a Mod to copy it over to the Media thread.

I've poured over tons of articles and tons of pictures putting together my timeline, and I've found video newscasts to be unbelievably bad at reporting false information. Articles are much more reliable. The National Enquirer pics are real, and they show a huge blood stain on the bed.

Having seen the pics, I would definitely characterize the sheets as being "bloody."

I am NOT doubting anyone with regards to the photos, just passing along info from what Mark F states and what the NE prints. I still like the human voice in reporting stuff. :)

The sheets weren't actually "bloody" per se. There was a large dark spot that looked like a place where there was a struggle and something [bodies?] moved to deposit a thin layer of what appears to be blood.

Having said that, I don't know if the photos are authentic. But , IMO, they appear to be so.

I don't have a scenner so I'd post the relevant part of the photo.

..

Also, if authentic, stains (blood, coffee) on the carpet to the right of body. Perhaps, a foot/shoe print (if blood stains).

The casino is owned by Flores’ father, an influential politician and former race car driver, Ricardo Flores, Sr.

Quote from your link. Does this mean that the casino is owned by Flores (Stephany) father ,or by Flores, father of Stephanys father , in other words, grandfather of Stephany? Cos it clearly states Flores, Sr. Is Stephanys father a Jr, or is he the Sr. they refer to? Is the grandfather the political figure, cos we have circus promoter, race car driver, and political figure. Was Stephanys father all three of those things,or is her grandfather (Sr) the political figure, or what? I am thoroughly confused. Also, I read a few days ago there was a bit of scandal involving bribery with one of the Flores men. Dunno if it was her dad or grandfather. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I just found this article, the casino is owned by a friend of Stephany's father, Ricardo Flores, Sr. And yes, Stephany's dad is all three of those men you described. ;)

And while I appreciate your time and effort in putting together a timeline, I question your confidence in saying the NE pics are real.

To me, they also appear to be real however how can you be so sure?

I never buy those rags, but have been known to stand in the check-out line and look at them LOL.

Me either. But I may make an exception in this case. Plus, I think the NE has gotten a teeny bit more reliable lately. They did a pretty good job on John Edwards, IMO.

I didn't think you were... but I do think that everyone here should be cautious of video newscasts. Nancy Grace being probably the worst.

I can't count how many times I've seen a reporter say stuff that is just blatantly false and not repeated anywhere else. I find that they are much more prone to "find an angle" and make the report interesting than stay true to the facts.

I suppose I should note I'm not basing that on anything concrete... but when you see the photos, you can tell they are real. The national enquirer might be a tabloid, but their photo cover stories have usually panned out to be legit, at least recently. They have gotten some pretty big scoops the past couple years.

Also, other photos from the national enquirer show the body being removed by Peruvian police. IMO this makes it very unlikely the photos are fake.

Why didn't he get a flight to some territory of the Netherlands? When he fled by car, why didn;t he drive directly to some territory of the Netherlands? Why didn;t he just take Stephanys car and go, go go as fast as he could to some place like a territory of the Netherlands? he appears to have not been thinking clearly at all. What, I wonder, was he looking up on his laptop during the taxi ride he paid so much money for (the one with the two brothers driving)?

Damn, this guy always has two brothers (innocent folks) helping him out. Now they have gotten in trouble too. First the Kalpoe brothers now this. The coincidences are amazing. The ocean currents that he was tracking on his laptop.. this is not a novice. He's done this before. If he had made it out with Stephany's body and dumped it in the ocean, he would have been arrested and then released b/c there would have been no proof of murder other than her blood in the hotel room. I really think that he would have made it out with her body in the suitcase. She wasn't that tall.

He could have cleaned the room as much as he could.. hid her body under the bed and then bought a suitcase with the stolen money. Then found a body of water to dump her in. It was have been a NH Part II all over again.

Even if he could have managed to sneak her body out of his room, the hotel and casino videos would have gotten him in the end.

I am sure he had such "plans" and I really wonder why he didn't do it.Maybe he got so arrogant that he thought I'll get away with this as well,no matter how sloppy I get no matter how awful the crime is....I got away so many times. It's true what they say about arrogant, full of ego killers. You'll go down exactly because of THAT.You think you're invincible and you're SO WRONG.

I could not pull up the wave stuff. When you have (17) beside your timeline statement of him going to get coffee in his white shirt... Have you actually seen this video somewhere?

I'm confused. It says:

... "which is owned by a friend of Flores' influential father, Ricardo Flores Sr."

I'm waiting to hear it from a reputable news source.

Since the media never really reported or emphasized that the casino was owned by Stephany's father, it would make sense that the casino owner is a friend of the influential Ricardo Flores, Sr. And that one report from FoxNews, I believe, is just a typo. Just my opinion.

Van der Sloot charged with first-degree murder

Lima Superior Court Judge Juan Buendia issued the order before dawn and the 22-year-old suspect was taken in an armored truck with 11 other prisoners to a holding cell in the basement of Lima's judicial palace.
Police manhandled Van der Sloot as they ushered him quickly out of the truck, a scarf around his neck. Two officers pushed his head down.
"Disgrace!" and "Murderer!" bystanders yelled. Some threw rotten vegetables at him.

Oh how I wish we had video of that!

Why does he even try to float that stupid story, as if finding out his personal info was reason to hit her or kill her. Its like he thinks his story justifies what he did to her. jmo

abbie

Well, that kind of reasoning probably worked in the Van der Sloot household! So, I'm sure JVS is kinda baffled why it's not working now. He's probably thinking "what's wrong with these "rude" cops-can't they see that she provoked me?":banghead:
