Now, in the article, Beth says Joran described Natalee's underwear. Do men really remember the details of women's underwear? Like the colors of flowers or whatever. Maybe he kept it? Sometimes serial killers keep things from their victims as a souvenir. I also wonder if he was trying to do the same thing with Stefany's underwear then he saw that she was on her period and changed his mind. If that is what happened, that would explain why she wasn't wearing pants when she was found.

Nope marijuana stays in one's system AND it can be detected (after 30 days even) in one's hair. I know someone who lost a job offer after flunking his drug test. He was a heavy MaryJane smoker and thought that quitting for 30 days would allow him to pass the test. Well they tested not only his urine, but took a snip of his hair. OOPS! Tested positive for marijuana.

JVDS' Trip to Hair Salon - in Chile?
I initially thought he might have done this, in his room at the Hotel Tac in Lima Peru hotel room. However, the time stamps on the hotel videos wouldn't seem to allow enough time.

JVDS was reported to have entered Chile on Wednesday. Early on in the search for JVDS, Chilean investigators told CNN Chile that JVDS was spotted in Arica, Chile, near the Peruvian border.

In Vina del Mar, Chile?
Perhaps somewhere around the tourist resort of Vina del Mar, before he was arrested. Newspapers report that he was arrested in the taxi cab, while traveling between Vina del Mar and the capital of Santiago. Other news sources report that he was traveling on a highway between Valparaiso and Santiago. JVDS was arrested on Thursday.

I guess this gives him one full day, between Arica and Valparaiso, to rock a new style. Yea, like it really covers up his pathology.

Hope that the investigation provides for a thorough research of these areas, to make contact with anyone that may have assisted him or seen him purchase hair services, or supplies.

Where in the timeline does Joran dying his hair fit? This takes some time and planning. He had to go out and find a store to buy the dye or bleach very early in the morning. Quick Stop gas station stores usually don't sell this type of merchandise - especially in a country where the majority of the people have dark hair. He then had to go back to the room, mix it up the bleach, put it on his hair for at least 25 minutes to strip out the dark in his hair. I can tell by my own hair dying experience he didn't follow up the dye job with a toner - because his hair has red in it, which happens when you strip dark hair with bleach. He then cut his hair short. Where is the dye bottle? Receipt from the store? The container he used to mixed it up in? What did he use to cut his hair? His face is shaved clean. Did they find hair in the sink? What was in the trash basket?
Would not this go to premeditation? Ideas???

JVDS changing his hair color and running to Chile after the murder (and attempting to delay anyone finding the body by telling the hotel employees not to "bother his girl") is proof of his consciousness of guilt!

That alone, without all the physical evidence, is enough to convict him. But wait, there's more!

- They have her blood on his clothes, found in his bag, a bag HE packed that morning.

- They have HER ID, HER money, and other belongings of SFR in his bag (again, a bag he packed)

- They have HIS fingerprints in her car, which will prove he used her car to start his escape.

- They have his confession. Motive changes hourly, I'm sure.

- They have video footage from CC cameras showing her going into his room with him (and no one else entering his room) and him coming out alone, attempting to pretend his door was locked and then later leaving alone, with his bags...bags he packed.

He did the crime. He murdered SFR. The evidence is there. No conspiracy. No setup. He decided to murder this young woman. And he's not going to get away with the murder (this time).

That article does make it sound like there was never an actual coffee run. I'm starting to think that JVDS just used stuff he already had in his room to try to fake having gone out and come back with food and drinks. But I'm not absolutely sure. I guess we just have to wait and see. I wonder what is Peru's reasoning for when and why they release certain videos. We got the "SF and JVDS going up to his room" video, then a while later the "SF and JVDS in the casino" video, and then finally the "JVDS fiddles with coffee and his door" video, as far as I recall.

It was three days before Joran was captured. He spent at least one night in a hotel (Santiago). I assumed he dyed/bleached his hair while on the run. My first comment was that it certainly displayed a consciousness of guilt.

That clears my question up. I thought he dyed his hair in Peru, my mistake. It's hardly a good idea for a disguise though, I would think a wig or moustache would have been a better idea.

Jean Caseres said on some show last night that the Peruvian LE reports showed that coffee cups were still full of coffee [and there was no blood on the tennis racquet. I can find the post about it if you'd like.]

I don't know how reliable she is or if she has since withdrawn or changed that statement. It seems like on one recent night her reports on JaneVM's show were completely at odds with her reports on NancyG's show.

Quite frankly, I'm a little astounded that anyone on this forum would respond to this. One of his theories is that Joran is autistic. Why is anyone giving this guy attention?

With much respect, Wings of Light (especially in light of (no pun intended) the vast amount of research you've put into both the Wave and timeline efforts), I try to give every post the same amount of careful thought and consideration, but those that differ vastly from my POV? Well, I try to consider those posts, perhaps a little more, as well: I am of the humble opinion that we can all learn a little bit by thinking outside of the box, and while it may very well be 'wild speculation', they've every right to post here just as you and I. It's the way we respond that defines us, and I'm proud to see that the majority of replies gave kudos to the OP for 'thinking outside the box', although not agreeing with any of the (imo) somewhat farfetched ideas put forth.

This debate is what WS is all about, and I appreciate any and all thoughts put forth by you all.

Just fwiw, from someone who followed the NH case very closely for over two years, and I'm not an expert, but...................

the alleged {proof} that was provided for Beth's alleged arrival 3 hours prior to her actual arrival was a hoax. It was NOT the OFFICAL receipt. NO, it was a picture of a format for the receipt with the ALLEGED EARLIER ARRIVAL TIME TYPED INTO THE FORMAT.

This was all brought out at the same time there were two 'SELF-PROCLAIMED' PSYCHICS running around the island of Aruba, CLAIMING all sorts of BS slanderous allegations against the Twitty/Holloway family and Natalee. This is where the BS came from the Natalee had an unhappy home. It was complete lies!!!

To add insult to injury, at the time these two grifters were running around Aruba making all kinds of chit up, there was a SUPPOSED journalist doing a documentary about the Holloway case. She fed into these two and they fed into her.

Beth arrived in Aruba at the later time, 11 pm. Any other time mentioned is just plain wrong.

About 20 minutes ago, CNN showed some video of SF in the casino. In it they show her standing in various places around the poker table. Not at the table, standing several feet behind the players. In the video, they had overlayed a circle on her image to direct your attention. The segment didn't mention if Joran was sitting at the poker table.

Has anyone else seen this video? Was Joran already sitting there playing? tia

According to the below article, Stephany and Joran were going to play online poker in his room. Who knows, this may have been how he lured her to his room. We do know he liked to play online poker.

We also know that Joran was very well aware of the anniversary date of Natalee's disappearance.

Now according to this article, while playing online with his computer, he brought up an email that mentioned Natalee etc.

Do you really think that was accidental that Stephany saw that?

I don't. I think Joran showed it to her to {BRAG} Then, who knows what part of the story is true or not, except he KILLED Stephany and the proof is the body.

Not necessarily.. A bottle of 20 volume hydrogen peroxide could have been used to change his hair color...All he had to do was put it on his hair.. leave it in and the results would be orange hair..JMO
