GUILTY Peru - Stephany Flores, 21, murdered in Lima hotel room, 30 May 2010 #24

That was discussed in previous threads, and there were a few hours of footage where Peter was documenting Beth prior to visiting the prison in Peru. I don't have the time to view those Peter de Vries shows again ... but if you have the time, it was the recent Peter programs with Beth in Alabama, Peru and Aruba. The discussion about the money was with Beth at her home in Alabama.

It's a series of four, starting with this one: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZeKZl6T6Kc&feature=related[/ame]

He looks a little crazed to me, and the limp wrist seems to reflect the fact that he knows no one is going to answer the door ... but I can't get a clear read of his eyes looking straight into the camera. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but knowing that he continued to have the conceirge open the door and continued staging being locked out while being on film - I don't see that happening.

LOL Well, at least we can agree on that. I'm guessing just having murdered someone in cold blood would tend to make someone look a bit crazed despite it quite possibly not being his first time.

He looks directly up when he peeks around the corner. What do you think he's looking at?

Yeah... I must have missed that. Like you missed the video I just found when you asked for a link to back up what I said. ;)

Birmingham, Al (CBS42) If you made a list of people who didn't need more media exposure Joran van der Sloot would probably come right after Charlie Sheen.

Not so, according to van der Sloot's Peruvian lawyer, Max Altez.

Altez told Radio Netherlands Worldwide that van der Sloot is being denied his constitutional rights because journalists are being denied access to him. Among those denied access to the accused murderer? Radio Netherlands Worldwide.

Radio Netherlands says lawyer Altez has filed a complaint with the Peruvian judiciary demanding journalists have access to his client. RNW say according to Altez, it is very common for prisoners to talk to the press from their cells. He says the restrictions on Van der Sloot are an unjust infringement to his right to information and freedom of expression.

Love the comparison to Charlie Sheen. WINNER! Duh.

I just took some time and looked through the videos again. John Kelly went to Aruba, and Joran didn't show. Too much of the program is in Dutch ... so we'll have to wait for the trial.

She may well have been drugged and the combination of lack of sleep and alcohol ... with a date rape drug ... could have caused Natalie to decide to leave with Joran and the Kalpoes, but any defense lawyer could argue that someone else slipped her the drug before Joran arrived. If Natalie died because of that combination of factors, it would not implicate Joran ... and if a prosecutor was aware of an accidental death of that nature, that is the first thing he would have said.

Absolutely!

Stephanie may have taken off her pants to sleep a little, or Joran could have taken them off after he murdered her to stage that two men attacked her ... as he said. There are other explanations for the pants, and nothing to suggest a sexual assault of any nature.

My bolding and snipping
Joran never said he took her pants off to stage that two men attacked her. He said he took her pants and shoes off after she was dead but he didn't know why he did that. That's very convenient for him since Stephany can't dispute it. imo.

The information about the cancelled extortion is provided by Beth in the interviews she gave with Peter. It's in English, and Beth is talking ... so I'm not making this up. Beth goes on to say that Joran provided her with a bank account number so when she didn't hear anything more from Joran, she deposited a few dollars in the account to see if it worked. Then she contacted Joran and offered him $10k ... that's my understanding.

BBM

Link please? I don't recall anything like this being reported by any news source. :waitasec:

Long ago I realized he and the complete truth are strangers. I agree, how convenient he doesn't know why did that. No wonder he's now claiming "temporary insanity". MOO

I assumed it was part of staging the "two guys followed us" story (cold blooded), but you're thinking that Joran was in the process of raping her and instead strangled her and ... more?

Whatever Joran has is permanent, genetic, terminal and isn't going to change anymore ... not temporary. I think he is

I found this interesting in the Peter de Vries tapes: that Joran tells Beth in an early email that he is going to have psychiatrc care in the Netherlands. First, Joran skips the meeting, and later (FBI now included) the deal goes through. Joran skips off to Peru but runs into more trouble. He emailed Beth and asked for airfare. She assumed that he was in the Netherlands and then a couple of days later they heard about Peru.

Edit: whatever you do, don't hit control Z, post, and then go off and do something ... I think he is ... whatever he has is not temporary. I think there is a connection between sexuality and murder for Joran. I bet there are a lot of serial murderers that start off young, like Joran, but get away with it because they live in big cities ... not small Islands. If he's that type of murderer, then he's the type of person that would extort money from the mother of his first victim so he could go to Peru - a huge city where people can hide and disappear - to murder another woman on the fifth anniversary. He probably thought he could get away with anything by then, so the scene was completely messy ... blame it on the other "two guys". I don't think he saw the cameras, I think he really thought he could pull it off. He was so daring that he invited the concierge to walk in. I don't think he meant to do that in front of the camera. I understand he then went to the airport, but saw police with guns and thought he was caught, so he ditched the car in a slum and ran for the border. He probably thought a woman he met in a casino in the middle of the night would not be missed for a while ... thus the "let my girlfrined sleep".

So ... he saw the camera, his hand went limp, but he followed through on the ruse about being locked out of the room, and then fled in Stephanie's car to the airport and later by bus and taxi across the border? He dyed his hair as soon as he arrived in Chile, because he knew he was screwed by the video camera?

respectfully snipped

You posted earlier that you didn't see any attempts to cover up his crime, that he just fled. If you believe that he came up with the "two guys followed us story" right after he murdered Stephany and he took her pants off to stage the crime scene to make it appear that way how would that not be considered attempting to cover up his crime? I would think that was a major attemptto coverup not to mention having the presence of mind to come up with his lie so quickly. Shows he sure did know right from wrong.

"The [Peruvian] National Police today gave the FBI a copy of the disk of the laptop the Dutchman Joran van der Sloot , confessed murderer of Stephany Flores and main suspect in the disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway .

This was announced by head of the research division of the police high-tech, Oscar Gonzalez, who noted that American agents seeking information relevant to the process followed by the Dutch in U.S. for the Holloway case.

He reiterated that the computer seized from Van der Sloot, held at the Castro Castro prison, "there is additional information that seems to be of interest."

I'm glad the FBI has there own copy of the hard-drive so they can spend the necessary time doing a thorough investigation back here in the US...to hopefully get some incriminating information on Natalee's case..so they can nail this guy!!! :rocker:

Violent emotion. In Peru, the Netherlands has turned to a sincere confession in order to indicate that he acted in the midst of a "violent emotion." This would help to reduce his sentence, because no longer would process for aggravated homicide, which carries a penalty of 25 years in prison.

However, your own computer disrupts this version, as it has been determined that at the time of the crime, or even minutes before the laptop was not on.

WOW...that's powerful information!! Shoots a hole the size of Texas in Joran's 'confession'. Thanks, annalia!

"The Lima newspaper El Commercio reports that the Peruvian National Police (PNP) gave FBI agents a copy of the hard drive Monday afternoon. Oscar Gonzales, head of the PNP high tech division said the Americans are interested not only in Natalee's disappearance but also information about the alleged extortion of the Holloway family in 2010."

"Joran Van der Sloot's lawyer Maximo Altez Navarro has exclusively told RadarOnline.com: 'The FBI will not find anything that will help them solve the Natalee Holloway case from my client's computer.'

He told RadarOnline.com: 'The computer will now not be opened up until April 18, 2011, but they will not find any information about Natalee Holloway' "

If he's going by Joran's word on this, then he's a very foolish man!!

"After reviewing the laptop of Dutch, experts [refuted his] version of his defense stating that he had killed the girl by violent emotion.

New evidence in the case of Van der Sloot would point to the Dutch citizen would have planned the murder of the young Peruvian Stephany Flores on May 30, 2010.

After a thorough investigation of the laptop hard drive of Joran van der Sloot by computer experts, where they checked their emails sent and received, web pages viewed, financial transactions and even deleted files from 29 May and 4 June 2010, determined that the Dutch had lied to justice....[when he stated that] she delved into the laptop from the Dutch in the early hours of Sunday May 30 [and] learned that he had been accused of killing of Natalee Holloway which provoked a heated discussion between the two and killed the Peruvian.

However, after the investigation it was reported that computer-related pages Holloway's death was reviewed on Saturday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, a fact that would be strong to break the Dutchman's counsel's submission."
