I don't know how anyone could suggest that this man could have even remotely had anything to do with his daughter's death. Clearly, is grief-stricken.

WHAT? They buried the victim before gathering evidence? I've been curious, and a little worried, about Peru's investigative and forensic procedures. Now I'm really worried. Unbelievable.
Sorry if this has been posted but methinks it predicts Joran's future:
"The murder of the Peruvian college student has touched the National Police in a particular way. Ricardo Flores, the young womans father, is president of the civic committee that supports the polices internal affairs division. He is a great man who has always been loyal to the police. We have no doubts that we will solve this case, says one officer who has worked with Mr. Flores on events organized to help officers in need."

Why? He isn't going to be tried here. No fooling stupid jurors with smoke & mirrors.

It may not be the most politically correct thing to say here but justice and trails are different in Peru. I believe he will face a trial presided over by three judges, there will be no jury. There will be no wiggle room for Sloot as in SODDI or reasonable doubt. There could barely be a better country for this person to be caught doing a crime nor a better place for him to serve time.

No, we don't have any rules about quick burials or anything like that. Within a week or so is about usual.
I'd like to see him convicted on evidence. But you're right, maybe they don't fool with that over there.
